"The second location of Ballard spot Rachel’s Bagels & Burritos used to be Brother Barrel, a pub that served pub food. Now, it’s a bagel place. While the operation works well enough to grab some breakfast to-go if you live closer to Lake City than Ballard, it feels truly odd to sit down among Brother Barrel’s remains—bar back full of dusty liquor bottles and all—and eat some lox. We can only hope that a renovation is in their future, but until now, take your everything bagels and schmear and have it at home." - Aimee Rizzo
