"The intersection of vegan food and barbecue is where most restaurants in Houston dare not go (let alone Texas). Luckily, Houston Sauce Pit isn’t like most places. This small Third Ward food truck is one of the only spots in the city that make plant-based barbecue. Houston Sauce Pit’s best work is their chopped “veef” burger with subtly sweet baked beans and spicy brussels sprouts.
