"I stayed at Lub d Siam and found it a very popular, well-kept choice for backpackers who want to be off Khao San Road; the place feels more like a European-style, mid-century modern hostel than a traditional Asian guesthouse. It's safe and secure (they use electronic key locks), the staff speak fluent English, and they organize lots of group activities that make it easy to meet people.
