"I've found the Generator in Copenhagen especially fantastic — part of a reliable European chain, it's smack in the center of the city and offers a huge chill-out common room, a pétanque (bocce) court, shuffleboard, a large outdoor terrace, and an in-house bar and café. The dorms are clean with comfy beds that have individual plugs and lights (but no privacy curtains), and there are small lockers under each bed for smaller bags. There's no guest kitchen, rooms lack blackout curtains in summer (so bring a sleeping mask if light bothers you), and the hostel also offers family rooms and female-only dorms." - Matthew Kepnes
