"Housed in an old converted hotel near the Red Light District, I found St. Christopher’s to be one of the all-around best hostels in Amsterdam: it has a beer garden and smoking area, discounts on food and drink in the popular downstairs bar (cheap happy hour attracts locals), cool art in the hallways, comfy beds with thick mattresses and privacy curtains, and lockers for storage.
