Santa Monica Stairs

"Santa Monica Stairs, Pacific Palisades. There are few places better than the Santa Monica steps to see the stereotypically health-obsessed people that populate Los Angeles in the popular imagination (and—partially—IRL too), chiefly because it is in a beautiful outdoors area on the boundary between Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades and because it is free, unlike Crunch or David Barton. It is often uncomfortably busy, packed with attractive men and women in tight athletic wear doing push-ups on the curb, and if you do a couple loops up and down the two staircases, you will have earned a scoop of ice cream from the nearby Sweet Rose Creamery."
