"In 1986, artist Mark di Suvero helped transform an abandoned landfill located right on the East River into a public park. This act of urban renewal has been a gift to LIC residents and visitors alike who are able to enjoy season-long outdoor sculptures, movie screenings, farmers markets on the weekend, and even free yoga.
