"Hickey's Music, Downtown Ithaca. Located in the old Ithaca Clock factory (for many years home to the Library Book Sale), Hickey's Music dates back to 1892, making it a foundation of the strong Ithaca music scene. Every family with a kid in school band or orchestra is familiar with Hickey's and their wide selection of instruments and sheet music. We like to go and play with the ukuleles. They offer great programs too, including their own School of Rock, for all ages. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the vibe is kind of cool, but not too cool."
