"Essence of India, Lincoln Square. Don’t mind the bad website—the food is amazing. This authentic indian restaurant is nice and cozy inside with a small outdoor patio for summer seating. Order a 22oz Taj Mahal beer imported from India or try out their indian-inspired cocktails—a favorite is the Hum on the Rocks. It’s so good that a friend of ours bought the Hum Botanical Spirit from Gene’s Sausage Shop down the street to replicate the drink at home. You'll start out with complimentary Papadum (disc-shaped lentil crackers) and a trio of sauces. Our favorite dishes are theMurg Tikka Masala andVegetable Korma. Just as good are theAloo Mutter, Dal Turka, Ghobi Gulastan andChana Masala. Get it with the ButterNaan and Basmati Rice!"
