"The Al Ghurair Centre is the first shopping mall in Dubai. Named after the Al Ghurair family, this once empty plot of land was later developed with the generosity of the family, turning it into Dubai's very first indoor shopping mall destination. Today we see malls around every corner of the city. But when Al Ghurair Centre first opened, there was nothing like it. Today, Al Ghurair Centre has had an expansive makeover to move with the times, and still has everything one can look for in a mall.
