"A long-running, convivial wine bar and bistro in the 1st arrondissement originally opened in 1987, now family-run and known for unfussy yet very tasty classic French dishes such as foie gras, country terrine and entrecôte de boeuf, plus a curated English cheese selection. The owners weave international bottles (sherry, Italian, Australian, American and South American wines) into an approachable list, and the warm, informal atmosphere — occasionally enhanced by the presence of the family’s Shar-Pei — makes it a welcoming stop after visiting nearby museums and gardens; the venue reopened on 23 August 2022 under continued family stewardship." - Vicki Denig
