Green Lakes State Park Is an Upstate NY Hidden Gem

"The park campground operates on a seasonal schedule (2024 season May 17–Oct. 13; 2025 season May 16–Oct. 12) with reservations accepted up to nine months in advance. There are 135 campsites ($18–$37 per night) and seven cabins (about $115.50 per night with a two-night minimum or $462 per week), plus a $7.25 registration fee and additional nonresident fees ($7 per night or $28 per week). Site options range from basic to electric and full hookups; pets are allowed and proof of rabies vaccination may be required for campers." - Rachel Chang Rachel Chang Rachel Chang is a travel and pop culture journalist who contributes to Travel + Leisure, Condé Nast Traveler, Lonely Planet, and more.
