"Speeding through the canals in a water taxi still gives me a Bond‑movie thrill, and Venice Limousine Service has beautiful wooden boats and, in my view, by far the most dashing (and charming) drivers to make it unforgettable. I’ll have them whisk me to the festival on the Lido, drop me at my restaurant for dinner, explore the outer lagoon, or simply cruise up the Grand Canal—particularly magical late in the evening, when the canal quietens and the extravagant 14th‑century palazzi glow with warm light from antique Murano glass chandeliers inside. During the film festival, when the city is at its busiest, I call ahead and book as far in advance as I can." - Skye McAlpine
