Loved the interior, very modern vibes with some awesome artwork. Dig sitting near an open kitchen, comfy seating at the table we had.
Bit of a language barrier with our server, someone in our party had a corn sensitivity - corn isn't going to kill them, but it upsets their stomach. We'd asked for a flour tortilla to go along the shareable guacamole (corn tortilla chips) and with way too much back and forth just asking for an additional flour tortilla it just didn't happen with the server thinking the member of our party just didn't like the taste of corn... well, okay - still bring out a flour tortilla? After asking twice we just decided it wasn't worth it, they had some guac without a guac vessel - not the end of the world.
Anyway, we did the trio of guacamole - it was decent enough. Didn't knock my socks off, but was enjoyable. Pretty small portion size ramekins of guac for 25 bucks.
The lamb (costillas de cordero) was delicious as was the accompanying sauce, brussel sprouts didn't quite hit right - a bit underdone.
Tacos, this is a taqueria of course - had to get some! These were some, unfortunately, dry tacos. I did the al pastor, la vaca, and carnitas. Carnitas were excellent, would be hard pressed to not get them again if we returned! Al pastor and la vaca had good flavor, but man they were hard to eat - super dry.
Margaritas were solid, personal favorite was the diablo (don't worry, even with habanero on the description - it's not that spicy) which had good kick and great flavor, subtle hint of blood orange with that nice lime tartness.
Overall an okay experience, some standout bites but always some kind of hangup in there somewhere.
