Get into the Seattle Halloween Spirit(s) With a Pumpkin Carving Contest and Tequila at Post Pike Bar & Cafe - Eater Seattle

"Nickerson Street Saloon, located beside the Fremont Bridge, announced it is closing for good on Halloween night. Originally constructed in 1928, it became the 318 Tavern in 1948, and was later bought by bartenders Chris Gerke and Jay Farias in 1995, becoming Nickerson Street Saloon. The building is set for demolition to make way for a mixed-use complex." - Mark Van Streefkerk

Stopped in here while checking out the area for a new job because we're all for trying out new burger joints! Ordered the Hawaiian burger and the Bacon Cheeseburger with sweet potato fries and onion rings. Beverages were Coke and a peanutbutter milkshake. The burgers were tasty although my bun frequently kept falling apart. The sweet potato fries and onion rings were DELICIOUS as well as the milkshake.

Google
Had the sounders burger and it is goooood! If you love a burger with spice it’s definitely for you. My cravings were satisifed. I also had the chocolate shake and it’s not too sweet so it’s just right for me The staff are really nice and very attentive too

Google
This place was fantastic. It's the kind of burger that would make even a grumpy troll under the Fremont Bridge crack a smile. Fries crispy and well seasoned. Ordered takeout, order, was ready on time!

Google
Great experience and good food I had the Hawaiian burger first time

Google
WOW! That is one beautiful looking burger, and it was delicious too. Garlic Parm fries were also amazing - they weren’t stingy with the garlic or Parm at all!!! Super clean dining area with a great atmosphere.

Great burger joint. Very nice young lady working there. Burger looked amazing and tasted fantastic. I had a mushroom with egg burger and they made it really well. previously, I also had their onion rings, which also were amazing. Loved the American flag on the wall.

Google
Yessss. This is it! Visiting from Spokane and stopped on our way to the locks. That burger was soooo good.. I think I got the sonic (?) Don't quote me.. Its fun, they names most their burgers as Seattle's teams.. it cute, quiet, and has great food! The milk shakes have that vanilla bean taste..

Best burgers in the entire USA. Don't believe me? Try it yourself! Staff are super friendly!

Yelp
We beat the lunchtime crowd. I had the $9.49 Swiss Mushroom burger and fries. It's nestled into the back side of Coby's food and Dog Lounge. The parking lot on the upper side was needed so I had to circle the block to pull in right. I was fading fast since breakfast for me was at 6 am and we met up just up the hill from here (my buddy wanted skateboards for his birthday). Food was quickly done in a to go bag (just in case) but I sat outside to eat it. There's a nice little strip with outside tables and a wheelchair ramp for both businesses. Didn't bring our pooch so we didn't go in Coby's. Anyways, the burger was good. Lettuce was Romaine and NOT iceberg (which is the toilet paper of the garden) the tomato was thick cut but a little green (still like it that way) and the burger patty was thick (like 5' 7" Korean Amazon Model ItsEunchae's thighs) and the cheese was melted so the mushrooms stuck to the top of the patty. Not sure if any sauce was added as well but it was a bit messy to eat from the juicy tomatoes, but REALLY GOOD (Be forewarned and protect yourself from the splash zone when you bite in) The fries are medium home cut and fried in beef tallow with a little crispy coating.

Yelp
Had the sounders burger and it was goood! I couldnt finish as it's a really big burger for me. My friend had the mushroom swiss. If you love burger with jalapenos this might be something you'd like to try! Their burgers are not that expensive too. We also had chocolate shake and strawberry shake. Staff are also nice and friendly :)

Yelp
One of the best teriyaki and pineapple burgers (Hawaiian here). My piping hot burger was delivered to my in six minutes. No fries or other items today. Just a delicious burger!

Christopher M.

Yelp
Good burgers and nice people, happy that it is around the corner. Sounders burger is the recommendation

Yelp
Great burgers, friendly staff. In addition to regular burgers, they also have chicken burgers or salmon burgers, which are really tasty! It is usually very busy around lunch time due to the nearby high school so I recommend to order online.
google avatar

Yelp
The burgers were about the same quality as Burger King. The bathrooms were out of toilet paper. Building was looking worn out. And the staff would rather be elsewhere.

D D.

Yelp
Extremely good burger and definitely recommend the garlic parm fries! Very polite service people and clean restaurant!!!

Yelp
Burger was crazy dry. Like really really bad. Bacon was cooked hours before it was put in the burger. Not enough sauce. Fries tasted like they were sitting there for a while too. Would never go back and the girls working there look like they don't care.

Yelp
I've been here 4 times because it's a block from my house. It's quiet inside. It's always mostly empty, not very welcoming (cashier lady included), but clean. This most recent time, I ordered a falcon grilled chicken sandwich and asked to exchange bacon for avocado - it was going to be a $1.75 up charge on an already $10.49 sandwich. I removed that - total with tip comes out to $13. It came out within 5 minutes; the previous times I've gone, wait time was closer to 15 minutes. It's too pricey for what you get - mediocre counter service and ok food. I've given it it's last shot and won't be back. I'd rather go for cheaper fast food option or a nicer experience for a slightly pricier burger at other spots in Seattle.

Hailey U.

Yelp
WOW! That is one beautiful looking burger, and it was delicious too. Garlic Parm fries were also amazing - they weren't stingy with the garlic or Parm at all!!! Super clean dining area with a great atmosphere. Paid around $16 total for my meal (not including tip).

Yelp
Ordered ahead of time, still took almost 45 min for pick up (not even delivery). Food was ok at best, nothing special even for fast food. Smash burger and red mill are much better for the same price and they're a lot faster.

Yelp
One of the best lunch spots! Great burgers, really great fried chicken sandwich! Don't go to shake shack, don't go to mcdonalds, don't go to wendy's, go here. It is local, it is fresh, it is tasty, and it is FRESH! The burgers are all made fresh, but the service is fast and always friendly. First time here? get a classic cheeseburger just to try their classic. From there, they have some really cool unique twists like the sounders burger, which has cream cheese, bacon and jalapenos. They also have a supersonics (RIP) burger with egg and an onion ring. So, they definitely have a wide range of creative burgers, all of which are under $10. The grilled chicken and the fried chicken burgers are fantastic. I highly recommend getting the fried chicken sandwich with the house spicy sauce. It is so tasty and so good. All of the vegetables are always fresh here, and when you order, you definitely here the fresh patty hit the grill. It is a real authentic burger place that will not leave you feeling greasy and heavy afterward. Definitely a great deal for the money. Add on some fries, onion rings, or garlic fries, and you are more than set. The service, really is very friendly and very fast. This has become a regular spot for me and the people that take my order around lunch time are always really nice and friendly. Plus, they usually have soccer games playing, which is a plus for me personally. So, don't wait any further, go get a really tasty burger. Get whacky, order something new, or stick with the classic, it is hard to go wrong. And definitely try the spicy house sauce. Cheers

Yelp
Great local burger and fries joint. I've been here three times and happiness abounded. Their ingredients for the 206 burger were all fresh, tasty and bountiful, with the bun being next-level good. I like that you get things Ala carte instead of automatically having burgers come with fries. Most times I just get the burger, but once I tried the side salad. It was large and full of nutrient rich veggies and greens which I really appreciated. They also have onion rings which look good, shakes and chicken and salmon burger choices. I'll try next time....I think.....but usually I go because I'm looking for that classic burger. They're fast friendly and very clean inside. They're open a little later than most similar places, as well.

Yelp
Usually, we were okay with this place. The burgers are decent, and since it's near my husband's work I like to stop by here and there. This time the customer service was really disappointing and hostile. My son went to the side to get a spoon for his ice cream. And the worker who seems like the head of the establishment asked with such a rude demeanor "what he's doing over there" and had the audacity to press him on it. Until I had to step in. That person went across the kitchen to the side station very intentionally. What narcissistic antics toward a little kid. I decided on just a drink and left. Honestly, there's a better burger spot up the street and Zeeks is better around the corner. Thanks for targeting us with such ill-natured attitude.

Yelp
My daughter and I stopped here recently while in the area. We needed a burger fix and the 206 Burger Company delivered! I think I had the Double Cheeseburger with 2 patties and 2 slices of American Cheese. My daughter had the 206 burger which had avocado, bacon on a Brioche bun. We shared a side of tots which costs extra. I loved my burger as it was beefy, cheesy, oozy goodness. Very flavorful and prepared freshly. The tots were nice and hot as well. Everything was great and I'll come back here again when in the area and in need of a burger fix. Thanks 206 Burger Co!
google avatar

Yuchen Z.

Yelp
I'm a fan of the burgers here! This is a solid place - nothing fancy, just good normal burgers with all the normal fixings you can think of. I really like their tater tots and onion rings - def get them! I enjoy their shakes as well - have tried their salted caramel and cookies & cream and both have been very yummy. Their prices are good and you can find coupons in the mail sometimes for buy one get one or some % off. I like that they have a large parking lot out front and there is one table outside for seating so you can eat your fresh food there after you order, def. needed during these times.

Yelp
Burgers were delish. Great combination of ingredients. Fries crispy. People friendly. But as of 2/25/2024 they are not serving alcohol yet.

Julie N.

Yelp
Been going here intermittently for the past three years and a bit disappointed in tonight's dinner. The portion size has definitely reduced and feel like it's no longer worth while to come here anymore.
google avatar

Pedro C.

Yelp
Service is abysmal. It took 25 minutes to get one burger and a side of fries. Burger was mediocre. Don't waste your time
google avatar

Christopher S.

Yelp
The best home-style back yard cookout burger you can experience near downtown. No flashy pretentiousness. Just warm service. Large menu and relaxed casual atmosphere.
google avatar

Conor S.

Yelp
Fast service, lots of great options and really chill overall. I was working on some projects and did pick up here for me and my friends. The prices are reasonable too. They have other fun options too if you aren't in the mood for a burger. It's a good spot to eat.
google avatar

Angela C.

Yelp
Good burger place with a huge list of burgers to choose from - even chicken and veggie burgers! I liked their burger names, some were named after Seattle sports teams. I tried the masala chicken salad and that was fresh and tasty. Fries and onion rings were decent, and so was the shake. It's not listed on the menu but they have gluten free buns available!
google avatar

Joy R.

Yelp
Best burger spot at enterance of Queen Anne / Interlake believe it's family owned and the ingredients are always fresh.
google avatar

Sandra S.

Yelp
One of my favorite burger spots in Seattle. Something about the sauce and cheese that makes this burger extra tasty. They have a variety of unique burgs on their menu but I love a good ol' classic cheeseburger!
google avatar

Karen S.

Yelp
By far one of the best burgers I've had in my life. The place is clean and staff super friendly.

Jenny D.

Yelp
My husband had the sounders burger and thoroughly enjoyed the burger. I had a regular cheeseburger and it was yummy! The service was quick too. Definitely will come back if we are in the area.
google avatar

Leslie H.

Yelp
Oh my food is so amazing, you won't walk away hunger and you can't beat the price. Everything is made fresh while you wait, and don't forget the onion rings! So go had to go back a second time while I was there. Just few blocks from Harbor View Hospital. Two huge sandwiches and order of onion rings $34.00! Picture is second trip, Fries and tator tots also good.
google avatar

RR S.

Yelp
Great food made quickly and friendly service, too! I placed an order at the counter for my takeout order. I had a burger and side salad that were super yummy. There was a little bit of confusion about the salad since I did to see it in my takeout order but they were quick to answer my question and fix what was missing. The reason for only four stars is the location. There was also the dine-in option with tables and chairs in this cozy space. I didn't opt for that and was glad I didn't - not because of anything the restaurant did but because of another customer. The man appeared to be homeless and unwell which made me sad. However he started to act belligerent toward two other female customers. The owner or manager of the restaurant came out two or more times telling him to leave. Each time the man would go back to his mostly eaten basket of tater tots and say he was going to eat. It was very awkward, a bit unnerving, and not the vibe I had hoped for. However, I'm not terribly surprised by this incident given the super high rate of homelessness in areas of Seattle like this. I felt bad for the person running the place. He clearly wanted to be kind to the man but couldn't have him disrupting other customers' dining either. I won't be back here until there's better support for businesses or management of those who have mental health struggles yet refuse housing and help.

Yelp
The food is good, there was 6 of us everyone had a good burger. One had spicy wings he didn't like the sauce however they looked delicious. My only complaint I wanted just a hamburger patty since I can't eat the bun. The side menu offered a patty for 2.49, I was told I can't order off the side menu. I explained why and she said they would wrap it in lettuce. I was charged 7.49 for a patty wrapped in one lettuce leaf! If I wasn't so hungry I would of said forget it. I will never return because this so wrong to do this to a customer especially when we all ordered food.
google avatar

Yelp
This place has the area code within its name so you know it's local. Walked in n there was a single dude workin there cross armed watching the big foot ball game. I got the double cheeseburger with pepperjack cheese substituted for the American it's typically served on. Was a pretty quality burger but nothing too outstanding. Thin but good sized patties. Kind of reminded me of a more high quality Whopper from BK. Onion rings were good, maybe a little TOO crispy. Prices were fine, they don't offer meals so you're paying for evening " à la carte" (ya I used the fancy a). This place is alright!
google avatar

Douglas K.

Yelp
The south side is open, the north side looks like it is under construction or remodel. Small parking lot in front, and more parking space south of the building. Good options for beef burgers, chicken burgers. all can be made with veggie patties as well. All beef patties are 1/4 lb. Fries are fried fresh, and are thick cut (thicker than McDs, about the width of a RedRobin steak fry. Maybe about the thickness of a Burger King fry) Many of the options come with bacon and various cheese options. interior is clean and coherent. 7 tables and a window bench.
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
We are in town for a robot combat event and we were successful in finding a good burger! Double cheese burger and 206 burger were delicious.

Elizabeth C.

Yelp
Delicious burgers. All the toppings were extremely fresh and if I took a picture it would look like it was out of a magazine. Quick service. Clean restaurant. Surprised it wasn't busier.
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
I would never EVER go back here! NEVER! I looked it up because of their gluten free options and it's was terrible! The bun was still partially frozen and crumbled into pieces when I tried to eat it. I was told the fries were gluten free, but he seemed confused and I was not assured by his answer. They came and they definitely did NOT look gluten free. I never ask for a refund, but sure did here! Unfortunately went to Climate Pledge starving the rest of the night because this place
google avatar

Neetu L.

Yelp
We ordered the bacon cheese and masala burger with fries and onion rings. The burgers were delicious -- the masala burger was super flavorful. We'll definitely be back to try other burgers on the menu.
google avatar

Maria F.

Yelp
I came here with my fam, thought they closed at 9pm per what is listed in Yelp but notice their door sign says 8:30pm. Gladly we made it in time and we were able to order to take out. The Burgers here are on point you won't regret it.
google avatar

L N.

Yelp
Ar first I didn't know what to expect but let me tell you WOW! I know I know wow for a burger joint but yes! You'll wish there was one of these on every corner instead of the chain fast food where the price has far exceeded its value. Back to this place the ingredients are fresh and flavorful I didn't verify but I'd swear the beef was fresh and patties prepared in house with all the usual fixings they gladly left off my tomato and pickles but romaine lettuce onions and house sauce which by the way is the bomb, the seasoned fries OMG a fat kids paradise. The place was clean and I was a bit surprised the place was empty there should be a line of people waiting to throw money at them. This place won't disappoint. Definitely a place I look forward to returning to
google avatar

Chuck M.

Yelp
Great tasting burger creatively constructed. Was surprised to be told we couldn't eat in the restaurant with ~35 minutes until closing.
google avatar

JT T.

Yelp
It's okay for the price. Quarter pound burgers in the $10 range is decent. Veggies are not wilted even during COVID-times which is not always the case. Sweet potato fries were pretty burnt, more brown than orange, although it was the end of the evening so maybe it was just a bad time to come. Shake tasted mostly like chocolate syrup.
google avatar

Elgon M.

Yelp
Awesome ingredients best price in Seattle $8 for a burger it can't be beat .!milkshakes are awesome great coconut shake!

Audra C.

Yelp
The burgers were so juicy and flavorful! We got the Hawaiian, 206, and chicken. None of us had any complaints. We also got a vanilla shake and onion rings. They cooked the onion rings perfectly so you know that they didn't use old batter.
google avatar

Adit C.

Yelp
Great service and best burgers in town. My favorite here is definitely chicken masala burger.
google avatar

Madeeha A.

Yelp
I walk in at 8:35 after noticing a server waving hand gestures to suggest the restaurant is closed, even though a open light sign is on, two customers are dining in at door is unlocked. I walk the server tells me he was trying to close early, he relents and decided to grant me the courtesy of taking my order, all while being very annoyed I was even present. Took my order to go, and I also saw him tell other guests he would be closing "in 5 mins" at 8:38. I guess don't go here after 8pm. Food was alright, i was a little too turned off by the rude customer service to even care
google avatar

Linda L.

Yelp
I started ordering here during the pandemic and have been hooked ever since! Great burgers that strike a nice balance between the thin-Dicks/McDonald's style patties my boyfriend likes and the burgers I like (loaded to the brim with toppings). The tators tots and fries here are super addictive as well. The fries are coated and seasoned. The shakes are pretty solid as well. This is definitely my favorite fast food burger joint.
google avatar

I R O R O O.

Yelp
Solid, no-frills, quarter-pound burgers. Choose from with a variety of toppings or go with the "local flavour" presets (Supersonics, Seahawks, Storm, Mariners, etc) I got the standard burger with lettuce, pickles, sauce with extra bacon and a fried egg over hard. It was solid and I will be back. A welcome addition to North Queen Anne, SPU, Ship Canal neighbourhood. 4 Stars!
google avatar

Alexandra L.

Yelp
Burger and onion rings. Neither had much flavor, but burgers have bbq sauce in the mayo, for some reason. Too many good burgers in Seattle, to come back.

Javaria Y.

Yelp
Friendly staff, well-kept establishment and a great selection of burgers for a reasonable price! Good place for a quick and casual lunch, with lots of parking available and speedy service. Sounds like they're in the works of opening up a bar next door, excited to check it out when the time comes.
google avatar

Mark H.

Yelp
Tasty burger spot off Nickerson. Broad selection of burgers and sandwiches with good fries and shakes. Worth a visit if you need a good burger Meal.
google avatar

Emily W.

Yelp
Delicious food, ready on time and great service! We especially love the super crispy tater tots!
