"This simple restaurant has an open kitchen, a pared-back interior and a laid-back vibe; grab a seat outside overlooking the Jumeirah Fishing Harbour. Their strapline is ‘making complex simple' and the Asian small plates deliver fresh, vibrant flavours with a strong nod to Japan; 3-4 per person is about right." - Michelin Inspector

3 Fins Japanese Restaurant, located in the posh Harbour restaurant area facing the marina, is known for its fusion Japanese cuisine and was ranked among the top 50 restaurants in 2022. I visited because this location was new to me, and while it's posh and pricey, the experience was interesting. I tried the sesame seaweed, Hokkaido scallops, yellowtail tuna tataki, and the famous wagyu truffle rolls. The seaweed salad was refreshing with a mix of seaweeds, apple slices, and crushed nuts, offering a sweet, sour, and savory blend. The yellowtail tataki was too sour for my taste, lacking wasabi and soy sauce, which the restaurant doesn't provide as they claimed it should be tasted the way it served. The Hokkaido scallops were beautifully presented with oranges but also too sour for my palate. The highlight was the wagyu truffle roll, though it was rich and could have benefited from soy sauce. Overall, it's a unique fusion experience. Would I recommend it? It's 50-50. If you're looking for a fancy dining experience by the marina (the decor is so-so reminds me of wahoo fish tacos back in 2000), it might be worth a try.

This has always been our top choice for Asian cuisine, thanks to their wide variety of flavorful and unique dishes—every item on the menu is worth trying. The food never disappoints, and the service and atmosphere are consistently great. However, my only concern is the lack of a reservation system—you have to walk in, register your name, and wait for a table. During hot and humid weather, waiting outside can be quite uncomfortable. Despite that, we keep coming back. It’s a perfect spot for couples, families, or groups of friends to enjoy a delicious meal together.

Every dish was very unique. Beautifully crafted and bursting with flavor. From start to finish, the quality and creativity stood out. The desserts, especially the Karak ice cream and African Powerhouse, were the perfect finish. A must visit for anyone who appreciates thoughtful, elevated food.

Excellent food with a lovely ocean view. The ambiance was tranquil, and the service was excellent. There is a waiting time in the evenings, but they do have a good system to notify you when your table is ready (sms). The food is on the expensive side, but well worth the experience. Valet parking is available.

An absolute gem of the home grown Dubai food scene. Having lived in Dubai for several years, we had heard so much about 3Fils, well, it does not disappoint. The food is absolutely delicious, beautifully seasoned and fabulously presented. The service is lovely and the value is excellent. I can’t pick a favourite as they were all amazing and we will certainly return to try more of the menu! My only tiny piece of feedback would be is this. Music really sets the tone of a place and the atmosphere is really dampened by the lack of music curation, listening to bad ballad covers really isn’t the fit for a space like this and effects the dining experience more than one would imagine.

3 Fils was an outstanding experience. We had dinner there and every dish we had was 10/10. Dishes with an unique twist, served in a great marina ambiance, proper service with pleasant and nice waiters. Thursday night was packed with 40min queue so I would recommend a prior booking. Will be my go to place when in Dubai looking for a great dinner spot!

Have been planning to visit for such a long time and finally did! Oh this is a lovely restaurant, in a chain of restaurants along the water. We did not make a reservation but got a table outside. The weather was lovely and the seating perfect, next to the water. We ordered so much food, and finished everything, because it was super fresh and delicious. Scallops were my fav! Went with my husband and son and we all enjoyed our meal.

We had 3Fils on our hit list for our trip to Dubai and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious, great chilled vibes by the water but off the beaten track, and a stand out meal from our trip. We had the aubergine charcoal which lived up to the hype as well as a seaweed salad, scallop and croissant with caviar. Everything was exceptional
