45 Jermyn St

"Style and comfort go hand in hand at this bright, contemporary brasserie that delivers the classics with aplomb. The menu is a mix of European and British dishes, with the beef Wellington and lobster spaghetti both finished off at your table. Coupes and floats for dessert bring an old-school touch and pay tribute to its past as Fortnum’s Fountain restaurant. Slick service and the undeniably luxurious surroundings make a visit even more appealing." - Michelin Inspector

Where to Find London’s Best Beef Wellington

"A modern European brasserie serving a luxurious classic — what’s not to like when the dish boasts of dauphinoise potatoes, green beans and peppercorn sauce on the side, perfect accessories to the main event." - James Hansen, Apoorva Sripathi

"Fortnum & Mason, which had, of late, started to fall into the "tourist trap" arena, is making a comeback, and a major one at that with their splashy new restaurant, 45 Jermyn St. Suddenly, F&M is a destination for (well-heeled) locals again as well. Once inside the palatial Martin Brudnizki-designed bistro and seated at one of the luscious orange booths, the stuff of old-fashioned storybooks awaits: You can summon a cart of caviar and have your pick of the best, or ask for an ice-cream sundae (spiked, if you like) with the works. Of course, all the basics are available as well from British classics like rib steak to modern favorites like avocado on toast. It's the sort of place you go on a special occasion and wear your "Sunday Best."

Google
In London and wanted to get beef wellington. Came to 45 Jermyn St because of the reviews and it was well worth it. Dramatic presentation of the beef wellington and it was so good! The desserts looked amazing but we were too full. So we came back a different night and they were equally as welcoming. Don't miss the desserts. They were amazing too!

We had a lovely evening here—the setting is beautiful, with a warm and relaxed atmosphere. We were a bit disappointed that the dish my husband and I wanted to share had sold out, however, the dishes we ordered were delicious but portions were a tad small. Our server, Tomas, was great. We had a really nice chat with him and he was super attentive —such lovely staff overall. It made the experience relaxed and enjoyable.

Google
One of the best dinners I’ve had in a long time. The service is impeccable. Incredible drinks and wine selection. The appetizers were incredible specially the steak tartare. The main event of course is the Wellington which is finished table side.

Always a pleasure to dine in such fine comfortable, stylish surroundings and enjoy excellent freshly cooked food. The menu offers a good choice of starter, main course and dessert. Gatelands Farm Calves’ Liver with Onions, Sugar Pit Bacon and mash is consistently the best ever tasted ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ anywhere. The Soufflé, as shown in my 2️⃣ photos is exceptional and difficult 😥 to resist every visit! Finally, the timber revolving entrance door(s) to 45 Jermyn St, has the feeling of a bygone era. It’s wonderful that fine traditional dining can still be enjoyed 😉 in this wonderful restaurant. All staff are always so welcoming, which is a feature anywhere in the Fortnum & Mason establishment.

I always have such a lovely time here! Between the gorgeous restaurant interior, incredible serive, and the delicious food, it's an absolute treat! I first came here to celebrate my birthday with their legendary floats and later came back here to have my first beef wellington with a friend visiting from out of town!

Google
It was great being greeted outside by your doorman. Your host also asked if we wanted to check our bags so that they did not clutter the floor. That was very kind. The food, service, ambience was like no other. We had breakfast.

Google
Amazing. So far our best meal in London. Every time I find a restaurant that serves liver I want to go. And it exceeded my expectations. It was absolutely delicious. And everything else we had was great flavor wise too: the liver with fried onions, lamb, tartare, leeks and peas and the lemon meringue dessert. For the price, the only comment I would have is that entree plates should be warm so the food keeps hot. The lamb was not hot when it arrived. That is why I am rating it 4.

Google
We came here, pretty much exclusively to have some beef wellington, and it did not disappoint. It was delicious and the cooking at the table is a really good watch. It is very filling though, we didn't have a starter and barely made it to dessert. Speaking of dessert, the banana soufflé is out of this world, one the nicest desserts I have ever tried. The texture is unreal. Definitely not a cheap place, but the food does live up to its price.

Yelp
You must have their Beef Wellington. Suggested to make on-line reservation in advance.

Yelp
What a good experience we had at this place. Our actual waiter-sever was okay, he disappeared many times. Thankfully we had someone else named Brittany (I think that was her name) check in on us several times to make sure we were good! I highly recommend this place
google avatar

Alyssa K.

Yelp
Loved this place but it is NOT inexpensive. Sat at the bar, service is attentive and good. Drinks are delicious. For late night dining I wish they had a larger snack menu. The atmosphere is cozy and classy, really well appointed and pretty. Love that they have all the different kinds of Bloodys. :0) would definitely come back!

Yelp
As long as you understand this is a higher end restaurant, you'll have a great experience. There is not dress code but there should be. Came here with my family of four because we wanted to try Beef Wellington. What an amazing experience, just wish we had dressed better. Small menu but great options perfectly prepared. Caviar tacos, steak tartare, ribeye steak and beef wellington. The ambiance was amazing, and the staff, in black bow ties and three piece suites, were wonderful. Highly highly recommend. Customer service that is without question the best in town. 5 stars+

Yelp
Let me start off by saying that the service was top-notch. Our waiter was very attentive and made sure to replenish our drinks along with utensils and plates right away. Came here for the beef Wellington and it did not disappoint! Absolutely fantastic and perfect for two people -we were so full! Cooked to perfection exactly the way we wanted it and very tasty. Th side of gravy accompanies this dish was made tableside and was a feast for the eyes. If you are looking for a fantastic beef, Wellington no further and do not miss this gem.

Yelp
Amazing meal - the table side preparation of the Wellington was everything we hoped it would be! Everything we had was wonderful. Highly recommended.

Jeff M.

Yelp
Awesome food awesome service and great cocktails Nothing to fault we had the beef Wellington and it was the best I have had. ( beats Gordon Ramsey)

Yelp
Lovely restaurant. Intimate and also modern. Excellent service, presentation, food preparation.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place. We went for the tableside beef Wellington which was delicious. However the service was awful. No one checked on us and others were getting their beef Wellington before us even though we ordered before. We finally asked the waiter and he said he would check. Well then another long wait and finally dinner. I would not go there again. I only have it 3 stars because the Wellington was good but not worth the aggravation and wait.

Yelp
A lovely dinner! Was searching for the best beef Wellington in London. Stumbled on here after doing lots of research. Made reservations. And it was perfect!! The hosts are friendly and took our bags and shopping bags. We were seated and the waitress took our order. We got drinks and the beef Wellington for two. It was spectacular!! Prepared well and the sauce was AMAZING. They make the sauce right in front of you which adds to the ambiance! Loved it! Comes with string beans and scalloped potatoes
google avatar

Yelp
A wonderful dining experience. The staff there were all great - welcoming, professional and very hospitable - and the food was excellent.

Yelp
Great service. Great Beef Wellington served table side, sauce flâmbed, quite spectacular. Nice atmosphere...

Yelp
This place is incredible! I highly recommend making a reservation online ahead of time. This place can get busy. We ordered the Kentucky Morning float without spirits and it literally tasted like sugary cornflake cereal milk which we LOVED! It was a very sweet treat, but it was like dessert in a glass! For dinner, we ordered the classic Beef Wellington. The presentation was amazing and my husband won't stop raving about how great it tasted!! He had tried beef Wellington at another place before and hated it. They totally turned him around; he's a big fan now! They were so kind to surprise us with a plate of chocolates wishing us a happy honeymoon! The experience was amazing. I highly recommend it! Great for date nights

Yelp
We had the best dinner of ours lives. From the moment you walk in you get treated with nothing less then 100% pure perfection. The food was carefully prepared and meticulously presented. This restaurant is an absolute MUST!

Yelp
It's a bit pricey but well worth it. Amazing food and great service. Tandoori marinated chicken salad with spicy chutney is a must.

Yelp
Oh my, looked back at some pictures from a few a fears ago. What a nice upgrade from the old Fortnum & Mason dining room. We enjoyed a very fun evening. Our dining experience was enjoyable.

Yelp
Great breakfast spot with many different options. We ordered the kedgeree, buckwheat pancakes and eggs.

Rad D.

Yelp
Excellent well prepared beef Wellington! Very nice table side flambé of the au poivre and perfectly cooked tenderloin. Would definitely recommend!!
google avatar

Esther K.

Yelp
Upscale ambiance but not stuffy. Excellent service. Two out of the five of us had the Beef Wellington flambé which was very fun to watch. The caviar (served via a trolley) was delightful and the truffle pasta with aged Parmesan was appetizing. They offer vegetarian options which is appreciated. A perfect setting for date night or a business lunch during the day with a possible celeb sighting. We spotted someone enjoying an intimate birthday dinner not too far away from our table but we couldn't remember his name. We were curious and asked a staff who he was and he and politely declined to say which we respected. This says a lot about the professionalism of their staff. It got pretty busy as the night progressed but we did not feel rushed and felt we had ample time. Recommended!

Yelp
My wife and I had a great breakfast here a few weeks ago. I had the baked hens egg which was really nice--and a great keto/protein friendly entree for those so inclined. She had the omelette which she also quite enjoyed. The sausages (which we each got) are really big enough to share if you just want a reasonable taste. Our only complaint (which is admittedly minor) was that the tea steeping mechanism was a bit clunky in her teapot and quite messy. Overall, a minor complaint for what was a lovely breakfast

Yelp
1) Perfect seating experience. 2) Perfect wine selection guidance. 3) Perfect attention to special requests.4) Perfectly executed dishes. 5) Perfectly served. 6) Perfect attention to our table after the order. We NEVER even noticed our wine glasses becoming shallow. 7) Perfect attention to every detail. 8) 5 starts is not nearly enough given the location and quality. 9) Please never change!

Yelp
Your Eggs Benedict is one of the best I have had in years. It is a dish that so often is done wrong, but your staff nailed it, the white was solid and yolk was runny, the hollandaise had that hint of tartness it needs. It was so good I came back the next day to make sure it wasn't a one time fluke, but you delivered again. Kudos to your staff, they obviously know what they are doing. Will of course be back.
google avatar

Kenneth G.

Yelp
Great food!! The crab salad was delicious and the beef Wellington was fantastic! Good selection of wine at affordable prices, the waitress was very good
google avatar

Mark C.

Yelp
I was told u didn't need a reservation after I stopped by at lunch so we came for dinner the next day and was turned away, I really wanted to have a beef wellington so was welcomed at wiltons and even provided me with a jacket to dine in.

Yelp
Went on a Sunday and had the Sunday roast. It was around £30~ for 3 courses. The quality and quantity of food was crazy. We were all stuffed after our meal. Would definitely go back just for the roast! The potatoes were so light, crispy and fluffy. Perfection in a roast here! The cauliflower cheese I felt was a little too much, it was really the only low point of the whole meal. But apart from that... it's definitely one to check out if you want to go somewhere a little fancy but not completely blowing all your money away.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was very delicate and the service was very nice! The staff was attentive and efficient! The Saturday special, in general, was quite a decent choice. The sardine and the trout were both well cooked! It's a very nice place for dining, definitely recommend!

Yelp
It's 2pm on a Monday and the place is packed with London's upper middle class impressing and entertaining each other. Beautiful food and a prime location will do that!

V W.

Yelp
Venue is lovely. Host at front desk was very customer service friendly. I was a solo traveler in London, opted to treat myself to lunch, walked in with no reservation and requested lunch service at the bar. I was seated immediately. The food was delicious. The delicious food experience was marred by the sub-par service of the bar servers. Indifferent to my presence - though they seemed to pay more attention to the male diners that appeared to be locals. Not sure if the indifference was their impression that I was a tourist due to my non-UK accent, or if I am a woman. Either way, I was regarded with a lesser level of attention. Had to ask for bread service while male diners were asked if they wanted bread. Had to ask for utensils when main course was served as cutlery was removed after appetizer course. 5-star food. 2-star service. Not Fortnum & Mason level of service for meal at the bar.

Yelp
We had lunch here a couple of weeks ago, and have had dinner here several times over the last couple of years. Right next to Fortnums & Mason. The food is wonderful and the service extremely polite. Had soup, caviar and eggs. Not very touristy as is pricey & a mix of business people and ladies who lunch. I love the orange decor and just stylish fudsiness of it. We will be back again in the future. Also tried the strangest tea - smoked over pine trees and it tasted of it!
google avatar

Yelp
The bone marrow here was AMAZInG!!!!! Everything was very good except the avocado salad. Both the steak and veal were cooked just right, very tasty. The fries were so good that I couldn't help but ate a lot of them, and I normally don't eat fries at all. Seevice was very good.
google avatar

Yelp
Went with a colleague for lunch and it was a fantastic experience. Learned about it from Fortnum & Mason newsletter and decided to give it a try, quite pleased I did. Service was top notch, important during a business lunch. I had spaetzle with Dorset lobster and it was fantastic. The spaetzle was great, with a touch of caramelization that made it very tasty. The lobster was also excellent and the flavors came together wonderfully. Definitely recommended.

Yelp
45 Jermyn St. is a classy, yet modern restaurant in central London not far from Piccadilly Circus. The food menu is great, presentation and flavours flawless and the wine and cocktail lists justify a visit in their own right. Service is friendly and attentive. I would eat and drink again at 45 Jermyn St. any day. The restaurant 45 Jermyn St. appears to be pretty new. The interior is beautifully designed, with a white ceiling and a dark wooden floor. The tables are dark brown with pastel kind of light red chairs and sofas. A little bit of light green, glass and gold completes the colour palette. Besides the look, I also liked the sound of 45 Jermyn St. - fine jazz music that did not distract, but still provided a good soundtrack for a delicious dinner. The wine list looks great. Knowing Albariño, I decided to try something different and went for the Brolettino, Cà dei Frati, Lombardy from 2013. A very nice Italian white, maybe a bit fruitier than what I usually prefer, but very pleasant and good in combination with the food. After starting off with some warm bread and nicely salted butter, I continued with the North Yorkshire Game Consommé with Pearl Barley. The waiter poured the hot consommé into the soup plate right at my table, which added a bit of theatre and intensified the gamy smells of an otherwise simple dish. The soup was full of beautiful, strong game flavours, the pearl barley and carrots added something chewy to the clear broth. As main, I ordered the Swinton Estate Red Leg Partridge with Fried Polenta and Jerusalem Artichokes with a side of chipped potatoes - French fries, really. The plate looked beautiful and the partridge tasted excellent and lovely buttery. The mild fried polenta added a nice crunchy texture and was a perfect supplement to emphasise and balance the meaty partridge taste. The French fries were golden and crispy, just like they should be. I thought they were perhaps a bit too salty, but that might just be my palate. Anyway, I added some freshly ground pepper, using the pepper mill on the table. The little silver mill was so heavy, that I thought for a moment it must be carved out of a massive silver block. Like the branded steak knife, I think details like this is where you can probably see that in Fortum & Mason an experienced brand with attention to detail is behind this restaurant. Overall, I think my main was an accomplished and very delightful dish. Luckily, I left enough space for dessert, so I looked through the sweet treats and once again went with the recommendation of my waiter and selected the Dark Chocolate Mousse with Mint Ice Cream. The Apple Tarte Tatin also sounded tempting, and I think I should definitely come back to try one of their "floats". Often, I find chocolate mousse at restaurants too smooth and dense. Not at 45 Jermyn St. - here the chocolate mousse is rich and light and airy at the same time, exactly how I like it most. The crispy little things worked well, and while I was not sure about the mint ice cream at first, it turned out great. The mint ice cream could even have been a bit more and stronger to cut through the dark chocolate. I was in a good mood and seized the opportunity to check out their drinks menu. The No. 5 syrup made of Strawberry, Neroli & Orange Blossom, Acid, Soda, recommended to be combined with Hepple Gin sounded great. I must admit, I never came across "Rickies" before, so I was excited to see what it would be exactly. The drink was served in two parts, the syrup soda mix separately from the gin shot, so I could taste both independently, before mixing it together myself. I liked the concept and the drink tasted fabulously refreshing. The service was as good as everything else, always helpful and constantly topping up my water before I could even ask for it. I am happy that I stumbled across 45 Jermyn St. and can only recommend it to anyone who likes good wine and good food. And also good cocktails.

Yelp
This is an excellent place for a business lunch. The menu has improved over the years as 45 Jermyn St added a veg/plant-based section to their menu. I recently had a leek dish with a tofu cream and really enjoyed it--I promise it tasted much better than the description sounds.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a cute place with a nice bar. Didn't have dinner, just a cocktail. However the bar staff was very friendly and nice attention to details in the cocktail, loved the spring of rosemary attached to my Martini glass

Yelp
Walked around for 45mins before finding this place (All other bars were too loud). We got a couple of seat at the bar, the bartender was very nice and polite. We stayed for a couple of hours, the music was at the perfect volume and the atmosphere was chill but still sophisticated. When we paid, we got chatting to another bartender who was again very sweet, he told us more about restaurant and wished us a good night. I think I found my bar/restaurant in London. I'm very excited to go again. Highly recommend it.

Yelp
What a sophisticated place! Came here for dinner with a group of 7. We've ordered appetizers, mains, and a few desserts to share. This was way too much food; it was quite heavy but delicious. I loved the yellowfin tuna appetizer; also the veal cheek was superb, but the accompanying bone marrow was overcooked for my taste. The deserts looked delicious, but I had no space left to try any. The service was a bit slow but courteous.

Yelp
I was happy to stumble upon 45 Jermyn street while out shopping in London with my parents. It's an old-school glamor meets contemporary, chic space right off Piccadilly. We stopped in for lunch and were seated in one of the gorgeous orange leather booths. Available on offer were ala carte Alba truffles and a wide selection of caviar from the caviar trolley in addition to a number of eye catching starters, mains broken down into meat, fish and vegetarian and a plethora of sides. We opted to share the Smoked salmon with soda bread (which was smoked on the roof) and the Welsh Rarebit. Both dishes were excellent and cooked perfectly! For mains, I had the Dover sole ala Meuniere, which was light and delicate; My Dad had the steamed fillet of halibut which was served in a north with carrots and shallots; and my Mom had the Baked aubergine with wilted trevino and goat's cheese which was divine. We also shared a side of steamed broccoli which was cooked perfectly. They have an amazing wine list! We started with a couple of glasses of champagne to toast out last day in London, followed up with a couple glasses of French wine. Amazing atmosphere, incredible service and delicious, perfectly cooked food. I would highly recommend the restaurant and would definitely go back.

Yelp
45 Jermyn St. is accessible through the Wine Bar on the lower level of Fortnum & Mason or behind Fortnum & Mason if you go outside of the store. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant decor is old-school glamour. I had dinner at 45 Jermyn St. after a busy day in London. I was impressed with the wine list. My server was very sweet. My dinner of pine nut crusted scallops with Bottarga butter and the chicken and mango Asian salad was good but not mind-blowing. The restaurant also has vegetarian entree options. www.45jermynst.com or reservations@45jermynst.com

Yelp
Picked that place for a post #brexit blues breakfast and it certainly hit the spot. Very posh and with a vibe that reflects the area, it was a good treat for my bad mood. The full english breakfast is more than satisfying, with a big portion, extra beans and toast. What i really liked is the addition of a piece of black pudding. Tasty fresh juices and amazing cocktails are the perfect companions to the meal. Only downside (and i have to mention that as a Greek specialist) the Greek yogurt they say they serve is not really Greek yogurt.

Alyssa S.

Yelp
Loved everything about this place. Cool location, great service and the food was delicious. Started with some mussels, then the escargot and finished with the scallops. At the table we also has the bone marrow, risotto, smoked cod and smoked salmon. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is in the Mayfair area or looking for a cool, chic place for an amazing meal.

Yelp
A great lunch; the Dover sole a la Menuniere (a "bargain" at £38) was perfectly prepared, the wine list was excellent and solid desserts. Great service. No complaints at all.

Yelp
We were staying at the Cavendish hotel across the street and hoped to avoid another day in the breakfast room there so we set out on a neighborhood search for something different. Having peered through the windows of 45 Jermyn St the night before imagining shoppers enjoying an upscale lunch there surrounded by packages after shopping, we had not imagined it served breakfast. But seeing it open the next day at 9 AM, we walked in to the not yet busy venue. For some reason the host seated us next to the computer entry site for the servers despite only two other tables in the entire restaurant having clientele. A total of two other tables received guests during our entire breakfast there. We were well dressed and appropriate, so the poor seating selection by the host was either intentional or amateurish and fell short of what the restaurant projects. Far from a pub or standard breakfast house, this is a very comfortable restaurant with an air of, but not too much, formality. Our breakfast ranged from the standard eggs and sausage (just right) to an imaginative kimchee frittata. I believe the Koreans perfected their approach to kimchee over the last 2000 years by leaving eggs out, but as a culinary long shot, it was worth the one try. There was plenty of porcelain and silver on the table and a professional staff to make us feel special in London, so with the exception of how we were seated (and why), we found it adequate. If you are looking for a little elegance to start your day just off Piccadilly, this is a fine choice. Be advised the price point escalates as you move to lunch and dinner.

Yelp
This was a great spot for lunch. We had an excellent meal. The restaurant gets crowded so be sure to book. Service can be a bit slow and negligent but the food makes up for the sloppy service.

Yelp
An elegant place for a delicious breakfast. (Also serves lunch and dinner, but we came for breakfast.) Both sweet and savory dishes are very well done.

Yelp
My dad and I where looking around trying to find somewhere to eat breakfast for our last day in London. We passed a sign that advertised breakfast and went over to look at the menu. At first I was a little skeptical because I saw this place the other day on yelp and it had a low rating. Which I suspect are do to older low reviews which since then the restaurant made changes. The worker outside was extremely nice and asked us if we wanted to sit inside or outside, we choose outside since it was a nice morning. He cleaned up the table since the open one people just left. Then we ordered which I got the buckwheat pancakes with carmelized pineapple and coconut yogurt and my dad ordered the open omelette of wild mushroom and gruyère and an Americano. While we waited for our food the worker realized the table was wobbly since the ground isn't leveled and sturdy it for us. Then our food came out which was quick and tasted amazing. I really wish I caught the workers name because he was really nice and talk to us about the area. I told him when I get home I was going to try and recreate the pancakes since I love to cook (which I did and they were amazing but not at good). Definitely coming back here my next trip to London!

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in London. Warm and genuine greeting at the door. Ultra-cool decor and ambience. Creative and expansive drinks menu. Top quality meal. A must visit.

Sam S.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, decent service and tasty food. The mains we had were the steak which was fantastic, huge and flavorful, the Dover sole, and pumpkin ravioli, all of which came out perfect. The wine was also great and we had coffees and one knickerbocker glory which was really nice. Finally a dessert that isn't so common and the fresh meringue on top, wow! Recommend this place for a relaxing, un-rushed dinner with great food.

Yelp
Had pancakes and bacon sandwich. Very well done, but surprised that whip cream was actually sour cream. Excellent service. A bit expensive but what isn't in this area
