5411 Empanadas | Southport

My entire experience was flawless from beginning to end! Parking was easy, right in front. And as soon as I went inside I was greeted with sooooo many empanada options on the wall! (Picture added) and coffee and espresso options so I was in heaven! I ordered and when the I got the empanadas I was stoked by how delicious they looked!! I was blown away! They were so delicious and fresh and sooooooooo flavorful! Officially the best empanadas I’ve ever had! I have been day dreaming of going back so gonna have to make that happen this week 🥰🥰 Another plus is the service! The guy that helped me was so nice and attentive! 10/10! The vibe of the place was so modern and welcoming! I just can’t wait to go back! Obsessed! ❤️

Expensive. 4.25 each. too small, in Argentina we call these empanadas de copetin. As an Argentine native, I have to say that this is nothing like what you would eat in Buenos Aires, and even the service doesn't resemble it at all… clearly, I won’t be coming back.

Great Argentinian empanadas as the flavors and quality of the inside is very good. Very little crust to enjoy more filling but a very little empanada for $3.75 each plus you pay $0.75 for chimichurri sauce which is helpful to have to bring the flavor out. So if you want to eat to get satiated you need about 3-4 empanadas unless you just want a snack and you are already full. The crust is nicely done and a bit chewy and not flakey which I really like as it’s unique to others. Overall a great place with many choices of filling for vegetarians and non vegetarians alike. If they dropped the price of one empanada to $3 each I would totally feel even better but regardless it’s a great place to sit and eat to enjoy tasty food. Plus it’s easy to just order and away yourself … no waitress so you save money on tipping. Plus the bathroom is super clean and smells fresh. That’s a really great sign the owner and staff care about customers.

Packed on Tuesday nights when they're only $2 per empanada. This location has beer. They make their empanadas to order so if they're backed up, they will stop taking new orders.

Wonderful tasting empanadas at a decent price of $ 3.25. Had the beef and the bbq chicken .beef was good but the bbq chicken was outstanding... flavorful and just enough for tasting .....other place have bigger for the price ..but this was super tasty and the neighborhood was wonderful to walk at night.

Absolutely disgusting, the empanadas seré undercooked and only 3 inches long or less, I asked for an exchange or to be remade and they just heated them up. The dough is thin and it tastes store bought, the chimichurri sucks, not authentic at all! Their coffee is actually pretty good and their alfajores saved the day, exquisite and authentic, probably because they don't make them if you want to try a good Argentinian dessert this is a good place for it, but not the food, not at all.

We had malbec beef, Bbq chicken, and bacon date. I couldn’t taste any bbq flavors in the chicken, but still good. The malbec beef was a typical pot roast beef flavor but I think my favorite. The bacon date we both agreed was perfect to split as was good but very rich. We had 2.5 each and this would be good for a light meal or snack, but as others have reviewed they are fairly small. Atmosphere is a nice quiet coffee shop vibe.

Great food and vibes. There were many flavor combinations to choose from and all were very tasty! I only wish the empanadas were a little larger!
