The owners are two of the kindest and friendliest people you'll ever meet. Equally as important, the food here is high quality. It's always fresh and full of flavor. The Thai iced tea and Thai coffee that they make in-house are delicious. Great atmosphere, great service. Everything is made with love.

I had an amazing experience at 7 Elephants! The Pad Thai with shrimp was tasty—generous portions of shrimp, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. I usually don’t drink Thai iced tea because it can be too sweet for me, but it was exceptional here! They use oat milk instead of regular milk, which is a plus, with the right amount of sweetness and so delicious! The service was excellent, the food came out quickly, and the owners were very friendly. I’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend!

I got a takeout order of tofu curry + sides, along with some of the roti matcha (not pictured). The dessert was fantastic, and they were great with quick service. Perfect spot for grab and go food in LES, but there are a handful of barstools if you want to eat in.

This cosy spot in the Lower East Side is the perfect place to stop for a hot and hearty home made Thai meal. I had an amazing shrimp pad thai, and roti matcha for dessert (1st time trying it and it stole my heart!) Also, I love that they use their family recipes. The owners are so kind and friendly, you can easily start a conversation with them, you'll see how much they love their restaurant and making people happy with their delicious food. 🐘🧡

I ordered takeout (delivery) and on a separate day I ate inside the restaurant. The place is small but mighty. The staff is super friendly, service is womderful. The fried wings were yummy, I had Pad Thai for both eat-in and take out. Both times the food is delicious, fresh, The shrimps were pan seared, the pad Thai noodles were delicious. I paid much more for delivery due to fees (I will not name delivery service) thsn when I ate in. I recommend, three thumbs up I will post pics next time I order.

This was the worst Thai food I have ever experienced. The flat noodles from the chicken Pad See Ew were rubbery and dried. The chicken was hard, and the broccoli was extremely salty. I can't describe the shrimp Tom Yum soup. It was nowhere near the taste of a normal Tom Yum soup. The spring roll was so so. I will not go back again.

So thoroughly confused by the good reviews... I ordered the rice box and the food quality was absolutely atrocious. The chicken was completely unseasoned, and some pieces were so rubbery they were completely inedible. Unlike every other restaurant in the world, when you order curry here the protein isn't cooked in the sauce, but presented dry and unseasoned with a side of sauce for you to add on. By that time, though, it is far too late for the protein to acquire any flavor (or moisture) from the sauce. Unless their regular chef skipped town, or there's a lot of fake ratings, I can not reconcile the 5 star reviews on this page with the awful food I was served. This has to be one of the worst meals I've ever eaten in New York City.

7 Elephants is definitely a hidden gem located between Chinatown and LES. It's well-decorated with vintage & industrial furniture and combined perfectly with the poriginal buildings. The options on the menu are limited but decent enough for a comforting quick-fix when we are craving for Thai food as a weekday lunch. We got 2 appetizers, Chicken Satay ($7.95) & Crab Rangoon ($5.95) and 2 Entrees, Drunken Noodles with Beef ($13.95) & Green Curry Rice Box with Salmon ($13.95). The price varies with different entrees. We were impressed with its portion and the reasonable price. The portion of each is more than enough to share between two people. We ended up doing a to-go for our Rice Box and Chicken Satay. The food was overall delicious, especially the Crab Rangoon. The filling is made with cream cheese & imitate crab meat, which is super creamy and satisfying with special sauce. We also love their salmon, which was juicy and perfect with rich & flavorful green curry. The owners were friendly and passionate about their food, and introduced their menu in details. We had a great experience and will definitely try other entrees next time.

Tried this new addition to the LES/Chinatown Area. Very friendly staffs. Huge portion with affordable price. The liking: Matcha Roti dessert- LOVE this combination. Never thought they would be a perfect match. Green Curry- very flavorful Green Curry (not water down like many places) also spicy enough! Creamy Tom Yum with Chewy Tofu - delicious and the chewy tofu is interesting. I quite like it. The soso: Pad See Ew with Beef - the beef was great and generous amount. The whole portion was huge but almost too huge that the noodle doesn't have enough flavor so sadly it becomes quite bland. I'd def come back for the roti and try other curry. Curry Roll- little confused about this as I didn't think there's really curry flavor.

Good takeout Thai food for a good price. It's my go-to spot for when I'm craving some Thai curry or noodles fast. The staff is always super sweet too!!

Hidden gems!!!! Please try this small restauran if you have a chance. It's a little reclusive in a non touristic area, but the food is excellent. We ordered fried chicken wings, Crab Rangoon, pineapple tied rice, rice box of Massaman chicken curry, roti matcha and Thai tea. Chicken wings: flavorful 5 spices deep fried, super crunchy. Crab Rangoon: no so crunchy. Can be better. Pineapple fried rice: no too oily, simple but tasty. We ordered it with slow cooked beef (very similar to Chinese stewed beef). It comes with a lot of onion, if you don't like it let the staff know. Rice box Massaman chicken rice: the curry has a very balanced flavor, sweet and mild spicy level. Roti matcha: regular roti with the sweet matcha sauce ( I like matcha so I like this a lot) Thai tea: made by the restaurant. Medium sweetness but very smooth and milky. Overall very good Thai comfort food. Nothing fancy but just make you feel better in a cold day. * We were too hungry to remember to take pictures. These are taken after we finished the food.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Picked up the pad thai with tofu. The tofu was extremely chewy, almost mimicking meat so it's a great alternative for vegans or vegetarians. The pad thai itself was delicious and tasted very authentic. We ate in the store, but the restaurant is more of an order-to-go. 5/5 Really delicious Thai food at great prices. Service was friendly and fast. Give it a try if you're in the area and want a quick, satisfying lunch!

I really wanted to like this place, not sure if it was because I went very close to closing time but my food was very bland. The crab ragoon was okay, the chicken pad see ew lacked flavor and the wings were okay as well. The workers seemed very nice , maybe I'll consider giving it another try earlier in the day.

We needed a place to grab a light bite before we went to the Van Gogh exhibit. 7 Elephants was perfect! We ordered two appetizers, fried gyoza and chicken satay! Both were plentiful, served hot and delicious! I wish I had enough time to enjoy a full lunch... price was right and it sounded yummy! I came back later to grab a bottle of their Thai iced coffee, sweetened, but not too sweet, so good! The place is a small place, you might miss it if you blink! They did have a table or two for outside seating. Check it out!

Went on a whim after hitting the balloon museum. Wow what a great decision. There is one inside table, which was taken, so the kind staff set up a table outside for our group which worked out well. I had pad see ew. It was served piping hot and it was full of flavor, the tofu had a very similar texture to chicken which I loved. It was absolutely delicious and quite a find. Will def go back

Worst Pad See Ew I've ever had. Instead of Chinese Broccoli -- I mean they're in Chinatown -- , they used regular broccoli. Beef came in a big chunk instead of thin slice. I'm not sure what they're trying to recreate. Chicken with Garlic Sauce was sliced chicken with some roasted garlic over rice with omelette side and bland mushrooms. Garlic sauce was packed separately and was so salty! I've never had Thai food served like this. I don't see why they had such high ratings....guess the people in this neighborhood don't know any better.

We stopped by to try this latest LES addition and ordered a pad see ew and drunken noodle and some Thai iced tea. While I wasn't blown away by the food, it did have generous portions. The recipes seemed simple and a bit uninspired. With their current price point, I'd definitely like to see them step it up and experiment with fine-tuning their flavors a bit more. I hope the business takes it to the next level.

Decent. Not mind-blowing. Got the chewy tofu pad Thai and 5 pc crab Rangoon. Chewy tofu is a good idea in terms of not serving spoiled tofu Bc it keeps longer but it really doesn't take up any flavor in the cooking process, so it just tastes like you're eating soy/gluten. Huge portions for the price. Crab Rangoon was good- small delicate pieces. I like that the sweet and sour sauce isn't the usual gelatinous bright red goo some places give. Food did the job and filled me up. Will probably get it again when i crave Thai but don't want to walk to farther locations that have better quality.

Just discovered this hidden gem in lower east side. This was my first time at 7-elephants and it was absolutely amazing! I ordered chicken with red curry sauce, white rice plus mushrooms and broccoli on the side and my husband ordered slow cook beef with white rice and same side order for takeout. Both sauces were delicious and unique. We loved the mushrooms so much. Their Thai iced tea and Thai iced coffee were perfect compliments to the food. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The food is reasonably priced as well, highly recommend a visit.

Ahhhhh!! This is the only place that prepares my lunch in less than 15 minutes and always makes it perfect. I need consistency in my life and the service is excellent. I really enjoy the basil fried rice and I choose a different protein each time. I always add a creamy Tom Yum soup and I can't skip the Thai tea. This place is just perfect all around!!

I walk past this place everyday and was very excited to finally see this place open. It's not common to see restaurants opening during tough times in the middle of a pandemic while others are closing. The menu is very easy to follow. All entrees are 11.95 or 13.95 depending on the protein of your choice. You can either get a rice box or a fried noodle. My husband and I both box the chicken rice box. He picked the basil sauce with plain pad Thai and broccoli. The sauce was not too salty and had a kick of spice from the jalapeño. I picked the massaman curry with broccoli and mushroom. They give you enough sauce which is enough for you to save the leftover sauce for another meal. The massaman curry was creamy and flavorful, perfect when mixed with rice. Originally, I thought this would be a buffet style place but it's actually made to order. It was about a 10 mins wait for my food. Since they're doing a soft opening promotion, you get a Thai ice tea or coffee with every entree! The food was still good after a 10 min walk bringing it home in 20 degree weather. The lady that served me was super nice and sweet. Possibly the owner. I would definitely order from them again. We need to support local business especially during these times.

One of the best Thai food. We had order thai fried rice, spring rolls, wings, Tom Yum soup and drunken noodles. Everything was so good and kids loved it since it was not spicy. I highly recommend this place.

My office got catered lunch from here and everyone was raving. I had the chicken basil rice and it was the best basil rice dish i've had in many many years. Highly recommended!

7 elephants is a new Thai place on the LES. Lovely and welcoming staff, ordered to go. Curry sauce is amazing. We had green and red curry. I'm also obsessed with the eryngii mushrooms. Will be back to try other flavors :)

The food was so bad Almost poisonous to me. I hate one bite and immediately it was the most disgusting food I've ever ever tasted my mommy try their pot see you and it was just so bland so salty at so much sodium. She almost died of a heart attack. Never go here. Save your money these reviews have to be fake like this is not good for you. This is crap.

Definitely a hidden gem of a spot where you can find great staff and thai food. Upon entering they were super nice and very welcoming. I got the pad thai for dinner to go. The chicken was not dry or tough at all. The noodles itself were flavorful and had a good amount. They leave the crushed peanuts on the side in a little bag which you can add yourself which is considerate for those who may have peanut allergies. They were very receptive to any requests I asked of. Menu is very simple and on the limited side but that's when you know the quality will be on the better end. Definitely found one of my go to spots for something simple thai food and to support a local business in the lower east side.

So happy to see this new Thai restaurant in the neighborhood. The portions are filling and the price is good- all the dishes are under 15 bucks. The place is meant to be more of a grab and go - and good for a quick lunch or dinner. They have a fridge full of their pre-made Thai ice tea and Thai coffee in cute bottles. For pre-made tea it was sooo good!! I'm so picky about Thai ice tea and this was super creamy and sweet. For appetizers I got the crab Rangoon, satay, and curry rolls. Again everything so flavorful - love the crab Rangoons with the sweet yet spicy sauce. The satay was full of flavor and loved dipping it in peanut sauce. The curry rolls were so unique - it was like a cross between a curry puff and a spring roll. For entrees I tried the pad Thai and the portions are so generous, it was filled to the brim, could barely finish it. I had it with the chewy tofu it's def an interesting texture and taste- my husband really like it. When you order curry - it is accompanied with a rice box. The owners stated that in Thailand it's very common for people to have a rice box with protein, side of veggies, and curry to dip for lunch. It was cute almost reminded me of a bento box. I got the green curry - again flavors were so good and blew me away and I couldn't stop sprinkling it over my rice. Overall everything is amazing and the owners (husband and wife that work there) are super sweet. I am totally coming back to try more food .

For $13, the meals here are very filling. I got the massaman curry with stir fried broccoli and stir fried mushrooms, and I enjoyed having leftovers as the portion was large. I walked in and it was made fairly quickly with very polite service. This restaurant is a splendid addition to the neighborhood.

These guys are the nicest team, and their food is so good. It's always hot and humongous portions. My new neighborhood thai spot for sure. BIG fan of the basil fried rice and pad thai!

BUYER BEWARE. I love Thai food. Even mediocre Thai hits the spot. But this is NOT Thai food. It's below average cafeteria Chinese bargain food that calls itself Thai. (Not to ding Chinese food--I love it, and we great ones in the neighborhood.) I ordered the Chicken Massaman and the Basil Tofu yesterday delivery from Uber Eats. :( On the plus side, it was delivered super fast with a free huge Thai iced tea. Upon opening the containers, which are huge and plastic, I see a ton of white rice with a good amount of bland-looking what I assumed was sauteed slices of chicken on it. No nothing else sauteed with the chicken. The rice was not jasmine rice (which is what Thai restaurants give you) but overcooked white short grain rice. Ends up the "Massaman" sauce came in another plastic take out container. Just a brown sauce/liquid. No visible garlic, onion, or other Thai ingredients. On the side were huge tough sliced "mushrooms"--like the cheap "king oyster" you get at a Chinese market. I will you spare you the details, but they are not what most of us expect "mushrooms" to be like. They take a lot of chewing to get down. And barely any seasoning. My side of broccoli was OK. But nothing to write home about. Same exact experience with "Basil sauce." It resembled nothing like was I would expect a Thai basil dish to be like. I don't know what this establishment is trying to pull, but its food is worth about $4.95 (I am being generous.), not the over $10 they charge. I think you could wander randomly into any establishment in Chinatown and get better food than this. There's a great vegan Thai restaurant just a block away. Of course, we have some other outstanding restaurants on East Broadway and of course Clinton Street that would blow your socks off. I hate to ding a restaurant during these tough covid times, but with the quality of the food, I'm not sure they're employing anyone who knows how to cook. No one here is taking pride in the food they're making. The 7 Elephants logo is nice, but that's about it.

Owner is very welcoming. Food was delicious and brought out in a timely manner. The drunken noodle was very good. I would also recommend the Thai tea. Not too sweet and very refreshing.

I was pretty disappointed by this place. It is not authentic Thai food by any means, so let's just level set the expectations starting there. Curry sauces - good, average tasting. Not great but not offensive. Tom Yum soup - I don't even know how on earth they thought they could call it by this name. Tom Yum soup is supposed a combination of hot, sour, tangy, and sweet. This soup was the right color, but it's the wrong taste. It was flavorless broth, did not hit any of the notes it was supposed to. Very sad. Plain white rice - overcooked and mushy. Broccoli side - large cuts of broccoli that are hard to eat in one bite, and slightly undercooked before being stir fried to death in sauce. Mushroom side - large slices of mushroom cooked in sauce. It was okay. Nothing special. Salmon - I got two pieces of salmon. One was pan fried. The other one was pan fried with some kind of batter or egg? Was this on purpose? Was I not supposed to get two pieces of salmon that looked the same and had the same texture? Mysteries. Beef - with garlic soy sauce. Flavor was okay, but the beef was overly fatty and no balance in texture and flavor. Only took a few bites and couldn't finish. Tofu - squishy and mushy. They call it "chewy".

this place is brand new to the neighborhood and they are super nice and friendly. The food is pretty simple but thats what i love about it its simple and delicious everytime i recommend the beef there its different than the usually type of beef you get from takeout places they slow cook their beef so its melt in your mouth soft! simple menu but everything was good on it!

I got the drunken noodles with tofu. The tofu was surprisingly sweet and chewy. I liked the jalapeños that added a little kick to the dish. A good option for when you're craving Thai food and just want some quick takeout.

Best new Thai in the neighborhood! Been here a Number of times and the food does not disappoint! The curries are flavorful and have great side dish options. The Thai tea and coffee are also great for on the go. Definitely recommend trying this place.

Ordered the family special on the app clubfeast and was slightly disappointed in the order. The pad thai became extremely sour as you continued eating it and the two chicken dishes lacked chicken. In addition the fried rice didn't really taste like anything special.

My friend and I stumbled upon this hidden gem and were so pleasantly surprised! We were looking for a very quick and small meal so we ordered dumplings and spring rolls, and they were delicious. Also, the people at the restaurant were so friendly and nice :) I will definitely be back and this time will order an entire entree and Thai iced tea as well!

This is a small Thai restaurant that has a simple menu. I like that because looking at a huge menu can be overwhelming. Personally I like all their appetizers- curry rolls, chicken satay, spring rolls, gyoza - all delish. The fried rice dishes have to much black pepper for me. I have to try the noodles dishes next. The customer service is always friendly.

This is the sort of place that you can't help having regrets. Immediately I had regrets about Ordering the curry with tofu and hoping not to experience food poisoning later. For such a cute little spot, I really was expecting better. Chewy tofu was sour. Curry was too plain just coconut milk and green curry paste. Omelette was too salty. Ingredients were not fresh nor complementary to the meal.

So glad this spot opened during this time, excellent quality, consistently delicious pad thai, would recommend if you're looking for a good take out option!

Drunken noodles with beef. The beef was really tender and the noodles was flavorful but after a while you dont really crave for it that much for some reasoning. But its good netherless.

Is this even Thai food? It's what you'd expect to get for $2 per dish at a street fair. Very disappointing. Traditional chicken in green curry is supposed to have vegetables in it. Not a side of one vegetable. The pad Thai was similarly barren. I don't get how this place has 4.5 stars. Yelpers, help me out here.

I was skeptical when I saw the place, but since we had 4 little hungry kids, we had to give it a try. The waitress was very friendly and helped us to move the outdoor tables and chairs so we could all sit together. We ordered pad thai, fried rice, drunken noodles , and spring rolls. The flavor were all surprisingly good! All the kiddos enjoyed their food as well as adults. I'll stop by again when I'm in the neighborhood.

I will be ordering from these guys again tomorrow to share with others since it is so good! Tried out their Thai tea and pad see ew with beef. The noodles in the pad see ew were yummy. Silky and packed with flavor, a bit on the sweet side. It had a healthy portion of braised beef that I shredded to incorporate better. The Thai tea came chilled, no ice and in its own sealed bottle, pretty neat!
