We came to New Orleans on a girls trip and ate here after our tour. They accommodated our large group on short notice and our servers were exceptional. The food and service was ah-May-zing!!!!!!!!! Every restaurant after this we kept comparing to the food we had here. Cornbread is second to none! The lamp chops are sooo tasty. Shrimps, crab cakes and lobster were soooo good. Thank you for giving us wonderful memories of New Orleans!!

Best meal we’ve had here in NOLA. Ordered both the Fried and Grilled Catfish. Fried catfish was the BEST. The Cajun Chicken and Shrimp Pasta which was also sooo good. BBQ shrimp was OK and Bread Pudding was good! The waitress Sydney was SOOOO NICE!!! CLEANED OUR PLATES! Food was definitely made with love.

Our server Jai was kind and attentive. The several different specials/deluxe platters were a bit confusing but she helped us understand them all and did a great job overall. The fried seafood was very fresh, the greens were smokey, and the cajun pasta was the definition of comfort food. Everything was seasoned up from end to end. One of our best meals this weekend!

First time stopping in, was a recommendation from a foodie friend. Grateful there was available indoor seating since there was a threat of rain. I had the small order of wings, battered and fried with BBQ sauce, fries and I added a side of greens. Loved the chicken, fries were good. Greens were delicious, but had some bone fragments from the seasoning meat that could have been removed before serving. I also shared the charbroiled oysters, which were delicious and served with toasted rolls for dipping in the sauce. I love supporting locally owned businesses. I'd go back because I want to try the lamb chops and crab cakes that looked really good on my friend's plates. Enjoy!

I have visited New Orleans several times, and some of my most enjoyable experiences in the Big Easy revolve around the amazing cuisine. It is not hyperbole to say the food here was the best I have ever enjoyed in New Orleans. The service was beyond friendly. The food was reasonably priced and, quite frankly, amazing. The people in my group ended up sharing bite after delicious bite with frequent "Wow! You have to try this!!" And that goes for the entrées, sides, and what more than one called "the best cornbread I have had in my entire life." My entrée was the lamb chops with a loaded baked potato. I have had lamb chops at some super swanky restaurants that cost 3-4x this much and were not better than these. This will be my go-to every time. Don't let the humble facade fool you. These folks are all-pro. You do not want to miss out on this spot.

Ordered the deep fried ribs and it smelled horrible. I could not eat it. I suspect that the meat was old. However , I also ordered the lamb chops, yams and Cajun pasta. Those items were tasty- really good. For the price point, none of it is worth it especially if I can’t even eat my main entree.

The food was soo good! I had the lamb chops and my husband had the salmon. My lamb chops were tender and flavorful, the salmon was cooked a little too hard for my liking but it was also really good. I’d definitely visit again and try something different. I’m sure it all tastes amazing!

The fried ribs are fantastic. Still falls off the bone as if they had been slow cooked. The loaded baked potato is just that...loaded! And oh so good. I upgraded my potato to include crabmeat and so glad I did.

The food was delicious! The drinks were hitting! The service was welcoming. The vibes were on point. Definitely recommend the yams and greens! We order crab cakes on every trip and in 4 states these were by far the best we've had.

Always an awesome delight coming here. The fried ribs is a show stopper. Unexpectedly tender, not sure how a rib can be this tender but I'll take it. The Rum punch is a nice pairing for the ribs. Between the seafood baked potato loaded and the punch, I'm taking a nap for sure after this!

We asked the young lady at the hotel for a recommendation and she directed us to this little gem. We went here due to it having a lot to choose from. Now if you're staying downtown this isn't a restaurant you could walk to from your hotel! I love trying new foods to experience the taste of other seasonings and textures. I had a stuffed bell pepper and Deep-fried Ribs Entree. Now if I must say the stuffed bell peppers was more meat then anything it was like they forgot the rice however New Orleans cook their foods differently. Now the fried ribs actually was one of the juiciest deep fried rib I ever tasted in my life! I tip my hat off to the Chef. On the sides I've had much better however the red velvet cake was extra moist and had like a drizzle of something on it and it's was very tasty.

We are renting a house nearby and we're hungry after travelling today and searched for a place that was close and open at 4:30. We enjoyed wonderful service and food. My husband who is a crab cake afficionado very much enjoyed the cakes as well as the corn bread. I had the shrimp salad with grilled shrimp - wow. Drinks were also tasty -

I ordered lamb chops with Mac & cheese and the chicken pasta on Uber eats. It was my last day visiting and I really craved some good food. This was one of the best things I had. The Cajun Pasta was ON POINT! The lamb chops were seasoned very well and paired well with the Cajun pasta. I wasn't the biggest fan of the Mac and cheese it was just okay to me. I also thoroughly enjoyed the cornbread. Overall I rate it a 9/10. I will visit again on my next trip to New Orleans

One of my go to Uber Eat spots. Have ordered on different occasions and always got my food hot and delivery always been quick

It was kinda just EHH for me. Just a last min late lunch dine in.. the yams & the stuffed seafood char-grilled oysters were AMAZING tho! As well as the customer service, TOP notch to be exact. The establishment was very clean inside & well maintained. I just wasn't WoWed by the food. The lamb chops were disappointing, tasted BAKED?

This location was recommended by local residents of New Orleans. I was not disappointed. They had amazing soul food as well dishes unique to New Orleans. The fried ribs....insanely delicious!!!!

Delicious food. Waitress was really down to earth. Portions are big. Prices are very reasonable. Flavor was on point. Had a mix-up with the bill. Although it was resolved. It could have been bad financially as a tourist. The bill that was given was about $85. My bill should have been about $45. I had already given the waitress my card and then started overlooking it. I paid with debit, which was charged the $85. The cashier refunded the total amount, which takes about 3 days to return. Then, I had to pay the $45 bill. So, I ended up being out of $85 on top of the actual bill for a couple of days until the refund completed. The server was very apologetic at my table, but the cashier, I believe an owner wasn't apologetic or friendly about the incident, but she did resolve it. It would have been more convenient if the actual bill cost was deducted from the wrong bill that I paid, which would have left me out of only about $40 until it returned to the card. Although, the food was great, if the cashier was a little more pleasant during resolving it, this easily would have been 5 stars. Other than that, it's a must visit spot.

*This was an Uber eats order*. I was craving chicken and after searching on Uber eats this place had great reviews. So I decided to try it, and I'm happy I did. The Uber driver made a few stops on the way, but when he made it to me the food was still hot. I ordered the chicken wings and fries. The chicken was crispy and well seasoned, and the fires were good. Definitely will order from this spot again! If a to go order taste like that I can't wait to go to the restaurant to eat!

After being quite undecided about what I wanted to eat and browsing the Uber Eats app, I recalled a recommendation from a friend who raved about Fresh Food Assassin. So, I was excited to try. I ordered quite a bit of things as I was pretty hungry lol-- crab cakes, a side of mac and cheese, and a 6 piece wings with fries. I was pleased with the fact that everything was still pretty hot upon delivery. The crab cakes were slightly scorched, but somehow retained their softness. They were good, just a bit smaller than I would like. The mac and cheese was decent. I'd like to say the fried chicken was the star of the show! It definitely tasted homemade and was very well seasoned. They were perfect, actually! The accompanying fries were limp and not good. Overall: 4.5/5! I can't wait to explore more menu options.

Cyd is the epitome of customer service. She welcomed us with a smile, took the time to explain the menu, and constantly checked up on us to make sure we were good. Each of us enjoyed our dishes but most notably we enjoyed the entrees: deep fried ribs, grilled oyster, and fried fish. We enjoyed the following sides: yams, mixed greens (comes with rice and pork), and cabbage.

We found out about this place after taking a walking seafood tour with Hollis from Treme Luxury Experience and Tours. The tour itself was a wonderful experience, and ending it with this seafood restaurant made it a great experience. We had a big group and it seems as if our guide takes his tour groups here often after the tours, however, it didn't seem as if the staff knew we were coming. But that didn't matter because they delivered the best waiting/customer service. I ordered the lobster entree, which you have a choice of having it grilled or fried. You also have an option of two sides, which I chose Mac n cheese and potato salad, which also came with a dinner roll. I was not too crazy about the potato salad, but everything else I got was great. The place setting was small but you knew you were gonna be fed well in there. Food was definitely made with love.

So glad I went and can't wait to return. Had the seafood potato, ribeye, house salad, chargrilled oysters and margarita. All very good. Ms. Ty was a perfect waitress and came over to check on me just enough but not too much. Really pretty on the inside too! Zero suggestions, and looking forward to trying sooooo much more!

My friends and I were in town and stopped by the recommendation of a local friend. Everything was so good! The owner even came out and greeted us! I got the wings and they were some of the best wings I've had! My friends had the pasta and said it was very good as well!! All of the food was fresh servers were polite! Definitely recommend!

I will never go there again the food was horrible I was thinking I'm about to get me some real catfish girl it was the cheap fish that you buy from the chicken mart and the mac and cheese was horrible to and don't get me started on that horrible potato salad girl so mad I wast my money!!! listening to my daughter I know I should've want to DIZZY I think that's the name and for the lady to tell me she can't give me money back I'm so mad and I'm still hungry and why my daughter keep asking me mama what do you want to EAT ps.. Best food we had in New Orleans! My husband and I ordered the fried ribs and added on catfish. Everything was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The staff was friendly and made you feel at home. I wish we had more time in the city so we could go back and try more dishes!

This has got to be a hidden secret in New Orleans. We visited this restaurant two times in one weekend, now that has got to say a lot! It's a small place inside but the second time we went we brought some friends and they were able to seat all 8 of us comfortably. The food is AMAZING!! It's all fresh, everything is made in-house and no 2 hour wait like those other "popular" restaurants. Where do I start with the food?? Forget what you heard, these are the best damn charbroiled oysters in New Orleans!!! Add the seafood topping and you will keep coming back. They are known for their lamb chops, so definitely get those. The fried ribs are so, so, so tender and tasty. The chicken wings and buffalo shrimp are perfectly fried. And if you don't know what to get just listen to the server she won't steer your wrong. Drinks are great too, but don't eat so much and forget about dessert because you have to try the bread pudding!! I took 3 to go. Go check them out, you don't be disappointed.

Stumbled across this place while waiting on a prescription. We were looking for some food and found this place online. There was not much else in the area so we took a shot. Some of the best damn soul food that I've ever had. The greens were amazing. The buffalo shrimp was also amazing and fresh. We talked to Emanuel (the owner) and he shared his story. It's a family own restaurant. Don't let looks fool you!! Ps. Get the cheesecake. It's all made in-house and is delicious.

Wonderful food in an unexpected location. The lamb was grilled to perfection, the deep-fried ribs were almost falling off the bone, and the crab cakes were awesome, with a great sauce. Highly recommended!

I was the NOLA this past weekend and had the pleasure of trying 8 Fresh Food Assassin. This place was recommended to me by a local vendor I met while on a City tour. It was delicious. I had the lamb chops.....BABY!! The best I've had. They were tender, marinated and grilled nicely. The staff was friendly and Ms. Alicia took care of us. The fried ribs are also delicious. I will be back. Support local BO businesses. Treat yourself to what the 8 FF Assassin has to offer.

Holy Dang! I went in so hungry and could not decide what to order. The lady there was really sweet and recommend some things. Settled on the basics of fried catfish, yams & Greens. LET ME TELL YOU this was the BEST fried catfish I have ever had in New Orleans!!!! Crispy, fresh, seasoned amazing. I hollered in my car while eating it. The greens amazing, the yams perfect. Y'all don't sleep on this place. The prices are up there but once you eat it you know. Baby, go get you some.

Unprofessional. Have definitely lost out on a loyal customer. Will take your order, state they can honor your request. Once you arrive to pick up your order. You are told, after the fact the chef stated he could not honor it. Never called and notified the customer. Customer Service training is needed. Chose to spend my money elsewhere.

My Friend called me up and said "we need to go here." I'm like ok let's go. Babeeee let me tell you this establishment did not disappoint! We had the Lamb chops, seafood bake potato and a green salad. It's was SO good to the point we were dancing in our seats. If you ever in the area of 1900 North Claiborne Ave. please treat yourself! THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. we will definitely patronized this great restaurant again and again!

I am thoroughly impressed with the lamb chops and loaded baked potato! Perfectly seasoned and cooked, I couldn't get enough. Y'all put y'all whole foot in there! The sauce that comes with it emphasizes the flavor of the lamb without overpowering it.

So as we all know it is very hard to find somewhere to eat that has legitimately good food. Everyone talks about how good their food is dinner price don't match the quality the quantity don't match the quality it's always something. but I must say what I paid for the seafood potato ,lamb chop with a side of salmon was well worth it. When visiting somewhere new I never consider price FYI. If want you get it.

Don't understand the hype! We went expecting great food, it's not that good. The fried ribs had no seasoning and the crab cake had no lump crab and truly overpriced.

I give them a 1because it was our first time there & the cashier Le Le had a bad attitude with the person I was with. My Mac & Cheese was over cooked. My bell pepper was really good & season just right but whe shrimp was to small for bell pepper. Potato salad taste like pickle. I also had lamb chops with loaded potato with seafood, lambs was good but they cut it to many times, And as for the potato the skin on the potato was mix with my seafood and potato didn't like that for a load potato.

Oh my god this is the best T-Bone steak I have ever had in my whole entire life. Sides were unbelievable as well. This place has got some extra magic or love or who knows what in the food. DELICIOUS.

First and the most important thing, customer service is superb. Food is excellent. I'm not a fan of lamb chops but they were highly recommended. The lamb chops are 'rolling baby' in my New Orleans voice. The ribeye and seafood potato was delicious. You will enjoy this hidden gem.

My son and I went here because it was near the place we we staying...great decision! The food was delicious. I had the ribeye dinner and it was great...meat seasoned and cooked perfectly. My son go the chicken wings and they were so juicy...wish we could go back tomorrow but our flight leaves early morning. Do yourself a favor and hit up this spot! You will not be disappointed!
