Yelp
This is a very large Asian grocer that takes up most of the 2nd floor. It has Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean, Japanese, and even Thai items.
There is a large snack section with both sweets and savories just as you walk in. This also happens to be closest to the registers. You know they want you grabbing all the goodies right before you leave ;)
To the far left along the wall are multiple kinds of rice, millet, starches, etc.
Then behind the snack and grain area, they have fresh produce. There are several kinds of greens along the left wall in the fridge (bok Choi, baby bok Choi, bok Choi jr, yu choi, on Choi, etc...). Near this area, they had green onion, chives (the super long ones), bean sprouts, asparagus, and white long bean but I couldn't find green beans. :(
The have a nice assortment of fruits including three dragon fruits (yellow, white, and red), persimmons, bananas, oranges, pomelos, apples, plums, etc across the middle, and mixed in are other necessities like ginger, garlic, and etc.
A little further back, along the left refrigerated wall, you will find a ton of tofu, some dairy, eggs, juices, and a bunch of fresh noodles. To the middle are all the dry noodles- they have a plethora. There is a row with tables of different kinds of instant ramen, pho, etc.
Behind that, there are aisles of spices, instant teas/coffees, condiments (every kind of soy sauce I could imagine), wonderful dipping sauces, etc.
To the right of these aisles there is a slight slope in the ground that takes you around a corner with frozen items - entrees and snacks.
Behind all of these areas on the right is the butcher and then in the back is the seafood.
With regards to the meat, you can get things from steaks and chicken feet, to pork belly. They have some things packaged, others the butchers are there to assist you.
With regards to the seafood, they have an assortment that is frozen, but they also have fresh options as well. These include several fish alive in tanks, crabs, scallops, oysters, frogs, turtles, eels, lobster, and several other shellfish.
In an aisle close to the left and before the seafood area, there are home goods. I found a 34 cm carbon steel wok for $21.99 and 10" bamboo steamer for $15.99. I'm sure there are cheaper places somewhere, but these were the best priced I've found. I can't speak to the quality yet, as I just purchased them, but I'm stoked to start cooking!
Oh! And Not only is this a grocery store, but along the first half of the right wall are eateries which comprise the food court. You can try fresh roasted chestnuts, fancier version (and I'm sure more delicious) hot dog on a stick, a bakery with yummy looking cakes and Michu donuts, 312 fish market with sushi, a bbq place which I want to try when I go back (I hear it's tasty and very well priced), a dim sum place, and one other which I missed.
Overall, I think this place is wonderful. It provides options that I've been hard pressed to find in smaller Asian grocers. I can't speak to the pricing comparatively, but I thinks it's okay for some things and great for others.
The parking is free which is a huge plus!
My only negative comment about this place was that when I approached three separate workers there to ask about something, two of the ignored me completely and one put her hand up as if to say no.
That being said, there was one gentleman behind the butcher counter who was very helpful and one lady stocking items in the aisles who went out of her way to see if they had something in stock that wasn't put out on the shelves yet. She also helped me with two other items.
So all in all, it was a pleasant experience, and I will likely be back for more things as I need them.
