I visited from Illinois and had the pleasure of dining here twice--once in June and again in October 2024. This was my first experience with Belgian cuisine, and I absolutely loved it!
Service: 5 out of 5
On both visits, the hosts and servers were exceptional. They were incredibly attentive and very friendly. While the host wasn't particularly smiley, they were still welcoming. The servers, on the other hand, were both friendly and cheerful.
Ambiance: 4.5 out of 5
The restaurant's decor is unique and cozy, creating a warm atmosphere. It's clearly a popular spot, as it fills up quickly. My only suggestion would be to reduce the number of tables by 10-20% to make it easier to navigate the dining room, especially when it's busy, as it can get quite loud.
Food: 5 out of 5
I made it a point to try Belgian-specific dishes on both visits. During my first visit, I had a Benedict with greens on the side--something not typically found in the U.S.--and it was absolutely delicious. The ingredients were high quality, and the presentation was lovely. They also keep the food covered until it reaches your table, ensuring it stays hot. On my second visit, I tried the Pork Green Chiles with eggs, hash browns, and a small Belgian waffle. The food was flavorful, hot, and very fresh. The waffle, in particular, was outstanding. Despite usually preferring savory breakfasts, I now know that I'll be leaning towards the waffles or other sweet breakfast options in the future--they're simply unmatched!
Special coffee drinks: 3 out of 5
I ordered a double Latte's at each visit. They were about $7+ each. They were flavorful, but a little too sweet. Unfortunately, also, they didn't come to the table "HOT." If I'm paying that much for a special coffee drink, it should be top tier.
I look forward to coming back, I recommend this place to anyone! Try it!
