Å by Tung delivers a thoroughly pleasant fine-dining experience. The atmosphere is calm, refined, and thoughtfully designed, comfortable without being stiff. Service was attentive and well-paced, making the evening feel relaxed rather than rushed. The food is creative and confident. Each course shows clear intent and technical skill, with flavors that are interesting without being gimmicky. Overall, it’s a very enjoyable culinary journey. One small note: the portions are more generous than what one might typically expect from a tasting menu. That said, this is more a reflection of my own capacity than any fault of the kitchen: the quality and execution remain excellent throughout. All in all, a memorable and satisfying experience. Would happily recommend for those who enjoy creative cuisine and a polished dining atmosphere.

The moment you enter you see the artistry in motion. The kitchen is completely open on the first floor where you can see the process and you’re greeted by the chef and staff. The food was paced perfectly and the flavors, texture, and concept of the dinner was a full experience. Probably one of the best food experiences I’ve had in Saigon, and frankly ever. This was an exquisite culinary experience that wins awards and deserves to be paid attention to. Absolutely worth every penny or in this case dong.

A by T.U.N.G. offers a memorable dining experience, especially when it comes to the creativity and depth of flavor in the dishes. Each course comes with a small information card explaining the ingredients and their background, which ended up being one of my favorite touches. It added context and made the meal feel more informative. Not everything was perfect. A few service moments felt a bit off, and the overall atmosphere didn’t always match the level of the food. Some touchpoints of the experience came across very gimmicky and impersonal. That said, the tableside presentations were genuinely fun and helped bring some energy and excitement back into the experience. Even with a couple of hiccups, the restaurant is still worth visiting if you’re interested in inventive masterful cooking and thoughtful exploration of Vietnamese ingredients.

Wonderful evening. The flavor explosion in the dishes is amazing. Service is welcoming and warm, however can sometimes be a bit hard to understand the explanations. I truly enjoyed how they included some visual/ interactive elements without making it too cheesy. Only negative was that they don’t give you the description cards which they do in Hanoi :/ the waiter told me they are low in stock which was a real bummer because I collect them as a memory. Oh well the experience will remain in my memory ! Thank you to the tung team!

Overall, A by Trung is a strong and coherent concept executed at a very high level. For anyone seeking a contemporary fine-dining experience in HCM—particularly one that pushes boundaries while remaining grounded in local influence—this is an essential destination.

We had a great dinner at A by Tung on our last night of our trip. Every dish was great, and the flavours were well-balanced. The chef is extremely talented with curating dishes that reflects a specific theme. We highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a set-menu dinner in Saigon and looking to have a good time with friends or family!

Completely different from one’s ’party line’ expectation of Vietnamese foods where traditions (synonymous with street foods) predominate. Here, it is fine dining to a very high standard. Mostly with European techniques. On top of some traditional VN ingredients. Adding up to a thoroughly enjoyable dinner. Artisan beer pairing was great. Staff was attentive yet unobtrusive. Highly recommended.

What an excellent gastronomic experience! One of the best Michelin star I've experienced. The food very exquisite! The staff very knowledgeable and professional. If you want to have a memorable dining night in Vietnam, this is the place to be.
