A Lorcha

"Business is booming at this friendly restaurant near Barra Temple as regulars just can’t get enough of the hearty food from a kitchen helmed by the owner’s mother. Start with the obligatory salted cod fritter. Besides barbecue dishes cooked over a charcoal grill, the extensive menu includes specialities like sautéed pork and clams Alentejo style, mixed seafood rice, and Macanese coconut and turmeric chicken; all great choices to share." - Michelin Inspector

A Michelin-recommended restaurant near the A-Ma Temple. We tried the oxtail stew, dried cod cakes, and Portuguese-style seafood rice—all were fantastic! The prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was cozy and lively. It gets very crowded, especially on weekends, so be sure to book a table in advance!

This restaurant is overwhelmingly good and tasty. It’s a traditional Portuguese restaurant serving Portuguesa food. The Ameijoas Bulhao Pato is which is clams in olive oil is sweet and savoury. The Portuguese dried cod cakes are the best I ever tried in Macau, you can really taste the fish in the mashed potato cakes. Seafood rice is having generous amount of seafood with tasty rice. And last but not least the Serradura. It’s rally good!!! And the service in this restaurant is really great, very friendly and helpful!! Highly recommend

A Lorcha Macau is clearly a popular spot, with an endless queue of tourists—a true testament to the good food they serve. The dishes were rich and flavorful, showcasing authentic Macanese cuisine. While the wait can be long, the food makes it worth it. A great place to experience classic flavors in Macau!

After having 4 of Portugal food in Macau, I found this one has the best tasty dishes. The deserts are very good 👍 It's amazing that after 10 years revisit, they keep up the same level of reproduction.

"Alorcha is an absolute gem in Macau! Every time I visit, I make it a point to dine here, and they never disappoint. With a Michelin star every year, the food is exceptional—authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff are amazing, always recognizing us and providing impeccable service. A must-visit for anyone in Macau!"

Their signature dishes - the seafood rice and clams - were both really delicious, generously portioned, and reasonably priced! The broth of the seafood rice in particular was rich in prawn/crab flavours. Also, don’t let first appearances fool you - there was a lot of seafood hidden under the pile of rice on the claypot! We were really lucky we got a table without reservations, probably because we arrived at the restaurant 10 minutes before its lunch opening time. Shortly after, however, the restaurant began filling really quickly. Despite the crowd, the staff service was efficient and friendly!

We booked at the last minute for dinner for 6 and the restaurant was very accommodating to our needs given the busy time of year. Staff and manager were very attentive and the food was amazing. There was so much flavour in every dish. It was a shame we were quite full before arriving otherwise we would have ordered more. Can't recommend this place enough. We look forward to coming back.
