They make a massive smothered burrito soaked in crema, salsa, and melted cheese that can satisfy one starving person, or three small children who are good at sharing. The casual restaurant also makes good al pastor tacos best enjoyed with their orange salsa. That stuff is good—but you can also skip it entirely and just come for dessert. Specifically, A-Mari-Mix's soft serve. They have a selection of rotating flavors, but the one constant on the menu also happens to be our favorite: horchata soft serve. "The burritos at A-Mari-Mix are so large, you just can’t fight the urge to compare it to the last baby you met. The biggest and most exciting one is the smothered burrito. It comes soaked in salsa roja and salsa verde that adds a tangy freshness to this pleasantly dense monstrosity. There’s a lot going on inside (and outside) this burrito, but somehow no ingredient—from the crema to the refried beans—gets lost. They mesh beautifully like a nice tie-dye shirt.
