"English born chef Simon Andrews, a former Michelin star holder, fell head over heels with Corsica. He goes to the market every day to painstakingly select local ingredients, which he then meticulously crafts: red tuna, denti, seabass, brocciu, veal, etc. Some of his signature dishes are always on the menu, such as grilled squid or his medley of local fish, to the delight of regulars and tourists alike. The chef also enjoys scattering his dishes with wild marjoram (“nepita”, after which the restaurant is named). The cheerful front-of-house service is managed by Simon’s wife, Corsican born Roberta." - Michelin Inspector

Corisca Wine Travel Guide: Where to Eat, Drink, and Stay

"A contemporary Corsican restaurant in Ajaccio led by a British chef that serves refined local dishes—memorable examples being roast squid and octopus and organic Corsican veal steak—often enjoyed at sidewalk tables in warm weather. The kitchen pairs inventive, modern techniques with Corsican ingredients, making it a top spot for food-and-wine meals in the city." - Alexander Lobrano

Hidden in a side street down the Tribunal Judiciaire d’Ajaccio, this little restaurant offers fine cuisine and good service. They had three starters, three main courses and three desserts plus Corsican cheeses to choose from. My wife and I ordered five different dishes plus cheese, all were very yummy! 😋

I had the set lunch and sat outside on a very nice day. €35 for three courses is exceptional value for the quality of cooking. Very good and attentive service. Well worth a five minute walk away from the tourist places near the harbour.

Wonderful family restaurant very close to the Musee Fesch in Ajaccio. Friendly, professional service with a very reasonably priced lunch formule. Pasta with fresh girolle mushrooms was amazing, as was the fish main and the reconstructed Snickers Bar dessert rocked. Highly, highly recommend. A short but judicious and well-priced wine list. Do reserve ahead, and enjoy! We will be back!

This restaurant is on a side street a bit away from the very touristy areas of Ajaccio. It is only slightly more expensive than the tourist restaurants closer to the water, but the delicious food and great service more than make up for that. Creative, good tasting food with wonderful local Corsican ingredients and inspiration. A gem.

We loved the food here. My wife said the octopus was the best she's ever had, which is a high compliment since that is one of her favorite things. No issues accommodating our allergies even on the prix fixe menu for lunch (we got a different starter than was offered on the regular lunch menu for that day). Great experience and a good value for the lunch set menu.

Outstanding small and authentic restaurant in a sea of tourist places. Impeccable and delicious local specialities with an emphasis on fresh seafood. Small local wine list. Worth a detour. Service very friendly and welcoming. Do not skip dessert!! Prices are reasonable for a place of this quality, with starters around €20 and mains between €20 and €30

On a warm and humid night, an outside table doesn't come with any interesting views, unlike those around the harbour. However, you come to A Nepita for the food, so prepare to be fine dined! The welcome is warm and friendly with a small range of options on the regularly changing menu. But the quality in taste and presentation is of the highest order. The wine list also pays respect to what Corisca produces. Don't come if you're looking for a cheap meal. Do come if you're looking for something a bit special.

Beautiful restaurant! I booked this for a birthday treat for my partner, and messaged ahead as I am vegan, and was so pleasantly suprised with the feast prepared for me! He even remembered vegan protein (which is rare for some non vegan establishments!). Tomato tartare with Quinoa, courgette ravioli and fruits, sorbet and mint. Sublime- thank you A Nepita!

Yelp
Wonderful restaurant in the old Ajaccio. Mini menu with only two appetizers/entrees/desserts every evening. I had a lovely night on their cute street terrace and the service was super friendly. Great lobster ravioles to start followed by a great lamb with curried vegetables. Dessert was a choice of pear/fig crumble or chocolate/coconut mousse. Three course meal is 42 euros, two for 35.

Yelp
We had an incredible experience here. We were just finishing up our honeymoon, and had our final night in Ajaccio. This place did not disappoint. They have a limited menu, but everything is fresh and local. The scallops were amazing, and the lamb was cooked perfectly. This is a cant miss place in Ajaccio.

Yelp
The foie gras appetizer was unbelievable, as was my short rib entree. My husband got the squid app and a white fish entree, both were lackluster. I must say the service was great, dessert was nice, but perhaps didn't live up to all the Trip Advisor hype. It was good, though I'll never know why my husband wanted to go to an American-run kitchen in Ajaccio, but c'est la vie.
