On my second visit to Abbale Televivan, my experience left much to be desired. Notably, the menu featured hearts next to certain "favorite" dishes, a promising touch that ultimately fell short in execution. For example, I ordered the Prime Burger, which the server inquired about my preferred doneness--yet, despite my response, it arrived very well done, reminiscent of a subpar beach club offering. This disappointment was compounded by a 25-minute wait for our food in a conspicuously empty restaurant, which puzzled us given the lack of other patrons.
Further adding to our frustration, after ordering, I moved to sit next to my guest on the same side of the booth. We spent the next 25 minutes there, clearly indicating our preference to dine side-by-side. However, when our food finally arrived and I formally requested that our tables be combined to continue as we were, the server's response was baffling: she needed to check with the hostess--an unnecessary step in what was clearly an empty dining area. It felt almost like a prank when she returned to suggest that a large party might be arriving soon--a highly unlikely scenario.
By the time she returned, I had resigned myself to my original seat, eager to just eat and leave. The poor quality of the food only intensified the irritation of the overall experience. In a moment where decent service or dining could have salvaged the visit, everything seemed to add insult to injury. I left with a firm decision to not return, especially given the wealth of better dining options now available in Aventura. There's simply no reason to waste time and money at Abbale Televivan. Unobtrusive service, something evidently not trained at this establishment, could have made a difference.
