Service and food was excellent. Showed up early for a surprise party and they were very accommodating and kind. Our waiter Patrick was attentive and the food was also delicious!!

This restaurant is my new favorite!!! The food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING & DELICIOUSLY FRESH!!!! This is not your typical Mediterranean restaurant - its fine dining experience with reasonable prices. The service was 5 star. I highly recommend any dish!! Mezze platter is a must and it comes with the most amazing bread you ever had. Eggplant, hummus, and spicy feta. The chicory salad was UNREAL! The chicken crispy potatoes with arugula salad- yes please. Definitely check it out.

The brunch menu was surprisingly good! I want to go back to try more options. I had an Avocado Hummus Toast with poached eggs and lamb sausage. My friend had their corn bread with eggs and lamb sausage. Everything was delicious and fulfilling. Also our waitress was very friendly.

Open kitchen concept and the Taboon (portable clay oven). Manageable and attractive menu. We started with some Mezze including eggplant confit, labneh and Mediterranean mix olives. All accompanied by a basket of very tasty bread. We simply cleaned the plates… The Tunisians cigars had a hint of Amba (Indian Chutney) and off coarse the Israeli chopped salad mixed with Tahini sauce and Schug. We had ordered the NY striped steak and Charred Hanger Steak Skewer, yummy, what not to like - meat lovers. With no room for desert we shared the Silan. Oh, what a way to finish a great meal.

This place is sooooo good. One of the best restaurants in the area. Typically a bit of a tourist area, so wasn't expecting to find a good restaurant but this place is PHENOMENAL. The food is amazing and cooked with such flavorful spices, every dish. The ambiance is nice, and the staff just puts the experience over the top. Very attentive, kind, helpful. Highly recommend. The cauliflower side is bomb and so is the kofta in a bread bowl.

Great restaurant: food is really really good. Highly recommended. The 3 mezze option is a must: the bread is also very good. You must try the hummus and the chicken liver mousse. The lamb options are very good as well. Very good portions. Wine selection is strong. Price point on the higher end but definitely worth it.

I work out to an EDM song called Arcadia by the ever-popular Hardwell (and a litany of other featured artists), so the whole time I dined at Acadia, that song kept running through my head (and making me want to do chest presses). I digress. Acadia (no "R"!) is as far from an EDM song as a restaurant can get, in that it's not boring or repetitive, and actually features some creativity. Take the Kubaneh, for example. Gorgeous to behold, and delicious to taste--pistachio gluten is where it's at! The Fluke Crudo was delicate and delectable, and the charred okra was a nice touch. Our Crispy Roasted Lamb Neck was a winner as well, if for no other reason than the gigantic portion we were served (for just $36--in these inflationary times, that's a steal!). But also, it literally fell off the bone, and was tender and flavorful and all the things you want sheep meat to be. Our only disappointment was the Cauliflower side, which wasn't bad, just kind of lackluster. However, they made up for that with the beautiful and scrumptious Silan dessert, something you rarely see offered in Middle Eastern restaurants here. Named after the honey with which it's drizzled, this amazing combination of caramel rice crisps, pistachio, almonds, tahini mousse, vanilla sponge cake, vanilla ice cream, and of course salin, will satisfy any sweet tooth without being overpoweringly sweet. For drinky drinks, we opted to try their homemade lemonades: the cucumber-mint was refreshing, while the date (yes, date) was sweet and satisfying. Come here before some know-nothing "food influencer" discovers this place and destroys it with a TikTok.

Amazing, fresh and flavorful food!!! I highly recommend if you’re looking for a restaurant near Columbus Circle. Beautiful presentation and delicious food! The restaurant interior is also very nice. Can’t wait to come again!

Genuinely impressed w everything we got. The kubaneh w za'atar and feta was quite solid, slightly dry. The lamb neck was soooo good omg very tender and fatty marrow. Branzino was great too be relative to other two dishes not as good. Really enjoyed the three dips as well, especially the labneh and chicken liver mousse. Beautiful interior, and there's usually always available seating. Hidden gem in plain sight. Friendly service too.

came for brunch on a sunday to catch up with friends from out of town. it was a beautiful restaurant with good lighting. felt like i was inside a garden with all the bright colors and natural light. we did family style and ordered a bunch of stuff to share: shakshuka, falafel, french toast, omelette. everything was full of flavor with generous portions so definitely great for sharing. the shakshuka was slightly spicy which is the way i like it! servers were on point with water refills and even brought us a dessert since we were celebrating a birthday def would recommend and come back!

Delicious!!! This is a newish restaurant. Middle eastern with a twist. I ordered the $35 dirty martini and pick 3 Mezze. You get this large baguette with herbs. I picked spicy feta, olives, and chick peas. All of them equally yummy! My husband ordered the salad with cucumber and tomatoes- so flavorful. My martini was on point. The bartender was super nice. Beautiful and bright inside.

Went to Acadia for dinner with a group during the middle of the week, and it was not very packed. When walking in, the space is feel very cozy with an open kitchen, which I love! We got one of the large booths in the back corner that has very comfortable sofa-like seating, easily fitting 6-7 people. First, the menu is not very extensive, which is a good or bad thing. I did also note several dishes which I saw on Yelp that were no longer on the menu, I was bummed about that (specifically this bread Kubaneh or the grilled octopus, which were surprising. However for a homemade bread, they did have this loaf with rosemary and herbs which we ordered and came with our mezze (3 selection) and the creamy hummus app. We also ordered veggies (beets, carrots, and cauliflower) for apps, as well as the fried artichoke (which I was glad it was not completely covered and drenched in coating) and the caesar salad. My favs were the beets and the carrots (which had such a tangy dressing!). For the mains, we ordered the mushroom skewers, hanger steak skewers (which also came with rice, lettuce and thing extremely sour pickled carrots and cauliflower). In addition to grilled branzino, sasso chicken and the black cod dishes. The taste and freshest was definitely there. While I enjoyed the setting and the food, it did not give me the wow factor. First, the sasso chicken was very dry. Some of the dishes were heavily salted than others, such as the cauliflower and the branzino. In addition, one thing I dislike in restaurants is having multiple bus boys wanting to clear plates (despite we still have a bite or two left), I had to swish them off at least 3x. Which is not something I enjoy doing. Overall, it was passable. But nothing to rave about.

Had a relatively good experience here. The place is beautifully decorated and offers a lot of Mediterranean fare. The roasted carrots was actually my favorte dish and had a nice heat to it, with a sticky sort of glaze and beautiful texture. The bread options were also delicious, and came out piping hot and fresh - would highly recommend getting all their bread options. I would skip their gnocchi as it was overcooked. Their lamb dish was also a bit lacking on the lamb, but had a nice texture and flavor from the rest of the vegetables. The dips were standard mediterranean fare that you could get at most other places. Not sure I would say this is a destination spot but it's a great option for a date or big group, or a dinner before or after a show nearby.

Acadia has an impressive selection of great dishes and the gorgeous interior really set the ambiance for a date night, a get together, and any celebration. 4.5/5! I highly recommend the fried artichoke hearts and the four cheese sambusak (star of the show). We also did the trio mezze, and really enjoyed the variety in our selection. And finally, you can't go wrong with a well seasoned cauliflower dish, and the "cauliflower" from the veggie section really hit the spot. While I really enjoyed the shrimp skewer and the king oyster mushroom skewer, I didn't find their flavor to be super unique and felt that at least the price was justified by the wonderful spread of rice, pickles (super yum), and various dips that accompanied it. For drinks, there was a really delicious carrot sour mocktail, and I wonder if they'd be willing to add alcohol to it the next time I visit!

Jeff, Justin, Ryan and I had the most amazing dinner at Acadia. Truly the best meal I have had at a restaurant in a long minute. The Maitre D was incredibly attentive and helpful. We also had great advice from the Sommelier. The Four Cheese Sambusak was just the right combination of savory and brine with this cheese stuffed bread. We added a Spring Vegetable Fattoush and Moroccan Carrots. For entrees, we shared the Black Cod, Rotisserie Sasso Chicken and Crispy Roasted Lamb. The Lamb was my favorite because one always has a favorite. Everything was amazing. Mid Century decor and great music!

Enjoyed Acadia and didn't think the food, service, or environment had any major flaws. It is definitely a spot to return to! The seasoning, textures, and unique garnishes are what enhanced the simple dishes. Great for a quick snack or cocktail if you're waiting for a show or dinner nearby. Service was efficient and getting a reservation was not difficult despite Acadia being fairly new and located on Billionaire's Row. Salmon cooked to crispy perfection. Chicory salad refreshing and crunchy. Chicken was good but portions seem inconsistent based on other photos I've seen -- the potatoes with the Mediterranean seasoning were tasty but the side salad was salty and I couldn't finish it. Chocolate cake with gelato on point.

Really pretty place for brunch. Close to Central Park so you can go for a stroll after to burn off those brunch calories. What we got: 1. Spread platter with hummus, spicy feta and labneh. Comes with flatbread. Pretty damn good. Fluffy warm bread and luscious spreads. 2. Chicory salad: nice fresh salad. Nothing extraordinary but pretty good. Got it with the lamb on the side which was pretty tasty. 3. Avocado hummus toast: also pretty good. Super generous on the hummus. Overall, Acadia's pretty good. Food is good (though nothing mindblowing or different, but pretty good). Ambience is pretty. Worth checking out if you're in the area but not a must.

Lamb kofka was incredibly tender & flavorful 4/5 Cocktails - Only tried the GEZER (Gin based) and it was OK. It tasted like I was drinking something from joe & the juice // the carrot flavor was a little much for me. Willing to give the drinks another go. Dinner here before a show at Radio City Music Hall was perfect. Will keep this spot in mind if I'm in the area.

Love love love this place! The food is amazing. Service is solid, and the resturant has a great location and wonderful vibe. I can see myself eating here multiple times a week.

This is one of those times I wish I had a 6th star to give. I am very excited to have this fantastic addition to the neighborhood and I'll be coming back more. The atmosphere is warm, and inviting. The decor is eye-catching, modern, and vibrant enough to make you want to stay. The background music gives it a perfect touch of fun. It's a great location for a group of friends to gather and also for a couple to have a nice date night. The view of the grand open kitchen makes you want to try all the different things they have while you see their action. The incredible staff member who took care of my table could not be more efficient and sweet. He made sure we had a great experience with a smile on his face and constantly made sure everything was perfect. Most of the menu is based on shared dishes and there's quite a good variety. It's nearly impossible to pick a favorite because everything was scrumptious. - Don't miss the bread section because both the flatbread and the kubaneh (a buttery, soft, herby, layered pull-apart bread) are to die for and go great with the mezzes. - The spicy feta spread is one of the best I've had. It's creamy and they use a spicy oil that has depth of flavor on it. - The shrimp tempura is very good but the avocado hummus that comes with it should be sold by the pint. - Charred octopus is cooked to perfection with a great smoked tomato sauce - The lamb kofta is a show coming to the table, the bowl is covered in bread and opened in front of you to release the amazing smell of all the vegetables that come with the perfectly cooked lamb meat. The best end is to tear the pieces of bread apart and dip in the leftover sauce. I wish I had left space for dessert, but the food was too good to pass and that's my excuse to come back again! This is the first weekend of operation and they got everything right. I can't find a mistake even if I try. RUN to book your table now because it will be a hit and in a while will become an impossible reservation.

This is a new Mediterranean restaurant that just opened up in midtown near central park. We came on a friday night with a reservation and it was packed. The restaurant is pretty large with higher ceilings, and it was a tad loud. We tried one restaurant week menu and just ordered additional items off the menu. We started with the Kubaneh and the Fluke Crudo. The kubaneh was scrumptious rolled bread with Zaatar seasoning. For entrees we had the crispy lamb neck which was meaty and succulent. The Koji Steak had a nice seasoning and was well cooked. For Desserts, we had the panna cotta and shortbread with huckleberry. Both were well plated and uniquely done. Overall, the food was great. Service was a bit slow, but Its probably because they just opened- i'm sure they will figure it out soon!

Feels like the kind of restaurant that Oliver Putnum would be a regular at. I'd wager $15 that Only Murders in the Building will film a scene here next season. A quarter of the menu are dips and mezzes. Given the prominence of the section, we opted for the hummus, labneh, and eggplant. Hummus was tahini forward and had a super creamy texture. I surprised that the eggplant were small tender pieces; I was expecting a babagonoush. I believe the labneh had an everything bagel inspired seasoning. Also came with piping hot bread which was soft, airy, and seasoned deliciously. All the food was great, but it's pricey. You're certainly paying a hefty premium for the decor and the location. Service was very attentive with staff continuously floating around. All the items came out quickly. Large whiskey and wine selections too. Gendered restrooms.

All our food was delicious! The Messa plates were amazing and that flat bread is to die for!!! The cocktails are wonderful. The ambiance is elegant and comfortable. The service was amazing, our servers were all attentive and helpful.

Food was good, albeit a little spicy. What soured the experience for me was the service. The restaurant week special is advertised on their website through February 4th. I asked about it and first the server was utterly clueless about it, then said it was only for lunch, to which we replied it was 12pm? He then went to ask someone else about it and then he came back and said it wasn't in effect for weekends. Idk why the special is advertised being through February 4th if they weren't honoring it on weekends? I didn't mind to argue further but I felt like he was wrong. He was alright otherwise, if not a little awkward. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back here.

The food here was amazing and just might be one of my new favorite restaurants in Manhattan. I ordered the cod and can't wait to have a reason to go back to NY so I can eat here again!

Had brunch on Saturday morning before a show at New York City Center. They weren't very busy, but that gave us plenty of time to enjoy our amazing food. I had shakshuka, and this was the best variation of the dish I've tried. It was spicy, but not overwhelmingly so. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the bread that accompanies it was served warm and crusty with a spice blend on top. My friend had the avocado toast with smoked salmon, which was also very tasty - especially the harissa bbq sauce. We were given a complimentary piece of tahini banana bread; this was not too sweet and had a bit of a nutty flavor. The interior of the restaurant is very bright and open with light wood paneling and lots of light. It was not very loud, but there weren't many diners yet. Service was excellent with the exception of having to ask for more coffee.

Want to preface this by saying it was an amazing experience, and we loved dining at Acadia, but I will shed light on the "negatives"/things to look out for. We decided to come and dine here at around 5:45 PM on a Saturday night and it was fully booked. Without a reservation we were given the option to sit at the bar or at the cocktail tables. Decided to sit at the cocktail tables which was a very comfortable booth and a small circular table. We ended up having our entire meal there as no tables that opened up for us to move to during our time dining. The second minor downfall was that the cocktail tables were near the door and it was quite chilly outside as it is January, so we had a few cold gust of wind when the door was open. Now onto everything we LOVED about dining at Acadia!!! The atmosphere was lovely. Very well decorated, overall clean and well polished. Started off with drinks, I ordered a whiskey sour and our waiter told me of a special drink they were doing, which was an apple pie whiskey sour, so I changed my order to that, and it was very delicious. It was different than what I'm used to, but still very enjoyed. We also had a cocktail with bourbon and it was strong and well made! Our appetizer was so incredible we debated ordering a second one just so we could enjoy it again! The Charred Octopus is a must try when visiting Acadia. Personally would revisit just to try this small dish again. For entrees we had the calsonehs and the marinated black cod. The pasta dish was creamy, very cheesy but not overpowering, and overall worth trying. The cod was delicious and the turnips and grapefruit that it was paired with was a perfect combination. Again overall worth trying. Both our entrees were so good and looking at the menu there were other entrees that looked just as good. Dessert was the chocolate hazelnut mousse cake. So rich! The perfect dessert to finish off our night out. Bonus: all the staff were friendly and helpful!! Would definitely return to Acadia to explore more of the menu and to most definitely enjoy the charred octopus one more time!

Appetizer: hummus (5/5), Labneh (5/5), eggplant (5/5) Main: black cod (5/5), lamb kafta (4/5), chicken (3/5) Dessert: hazelnut chocolate mousse cake (3/5), sorbet (4/5) Overall, amazing job with black cod. Marinated to perfection. Sweet glaze was a perfect finish to the dish. 2-person tables are a bit small and tight. I felt uncomfortable squeezing in in between tables. Otherwise, lively but not too loud. Very clean and modern finish to everything. I want to try their brunch menu so I'll definitely be back.

Based on a review, I got the Pastrami on Rye. On thick Texas size bread toasted and partially burnt. Guess how that went. They got the Pastrami from a good place with a disastrous execution.

Stunning place by Carnegie Hall! I definitely ordered the wrong entree for 1 and it made my experience say, rather not the best as I'd prefer it (Sat alone for dinner time before a show). Nevertheless, not only was the food actually good, but the servers and the service was beyond delightful. The manager ( I assume) was very attentive and hands on. Turned my experience around. Will definitely come back to try more off the menu, next time around- will bring friends.

I've been here twice now and enjoyed both times. The Kubaneh bread is the best bread in nyc. The bass was so flavorful and tender. The chicken is huge enough for 2 people and the drinks also huge. Great for pre show and a great addition to midtown.

Great find at this location and this price point. We ate at the bar. Staff were very professional and attentive. Shared a mezze assortment and they were each delicious. Humus, spicey feta, eggplant confit. The bread was amazing, we ordered a second loaf. We each had the chicory salad which was also quite good. Fresh, not overly dressed, good flavors. Cocktails also tasty. A very nice addition to this area. A place where I would stop off again if I. The neighborhood but also make a destination.

Enjoyed trying Acadia as we are regulars at their sister restaurant on the UWS, Dagon. The nice part of Acadia is they served Labeneh and Hummos as choices in the mezzo appetizers. The only issue is that the restaurant is a bit noisy and while the staff is friendly the are not very attentive. I had the bran info which was nicely prepared and delicious. The wine list is good but a bit overpriced.

Great breakfast with a Mediterranean vibe. Inside noise level is low and it's VERY CLEAN and put together. A nice vide inside to get your mind off the crazy streets of New York. Coffee was filled full the entire time, great service!

Although this is one of the most aesthetically pleasing restaurants I've been to in a long time, I was hesitant to try it because I am not a big fan of Mediterranean food. However, I was completely blown away by this dining experience. The fresh bread that started the meal was incredible. The crispy lamb, which was recommended by the waiter, was reminiscent of a pork shoulder dish I have during the holidays.. Absolutely delicious without any gaminess. I really enjoyed it. The service was perfect. Lovely waiter and staff. This will be one of my go to places for sure. Highly recommended. Acadia is not just a pretty face.

Had dinner the other night, five of us. Ordered all the small plates. Both breads. Specials. And two main courses (black cod and lamb neck). I think the waiter was concerned we might not eat it all. We certainly did and the two desserts!! Food was amazing. Everything was so good. My favorites were the chicken liver mousse and the black cod but there were no dull or flat spots at all. (Roasted lamb neck so good too). Staff was great. Service perfect. Wine was lovely (with excellent help from the sommelier). Centrally located. Easy to get to. We'll be regulars.

Do not recommend. It's an open kitchen spot. We dined there twice, lunch and dinner since my office is nearby. Not worth the hype, mediocre food and very slow. The food took 45 minutes to come. The waiter kept apologizing and looked like he's helpless. The Chef is screaming in the kitchen just for asking mustard. I mean it's an open kitchen spot, have some common sense that people can hear you, plus please wear gloves. It's very unhygienic to touch food item specially if your guests can see you. We felt extremely rushed. Like the waiter came in 1 min after sitting for order. Yet food was super delayed. It made no sense. Suggestion to management that please make the food faster. People don't have hours for lunch. 45 minutes for a pastrami sandwich is totally unacceptable and stop screaming at people in an open spot. We wont be back.

The food was good. What really negatively impacted our mood was the treatment we got. Right after we finished with our starters, the tables were cleared and we were given dessert menus. We were not asked what we wanted for our mains. Shocking treatment for such an elite style restaurant

Outstanding experience. Beautiful place and excellent service. Love the small plate concept so we can try a variety of dishes. Each one was perfectly balanced. Stand out is the beet. It's genius. And don't think of going there without ordering the bread. Oh my. Laminated savory rich dough layered with herbs wrapped like a cinnamon roll. Everything is well priced. This is my go to the next time I'm in that part of the city. Easy walk from theater district and Times Square

Superb new entry in the Carnegie Hall block with a Cali vibe. Great food & wines. The service also well above average. Check out the bar if you're just looking to grab a drink at this great location.

My ownly concern in writing this review is that the next time I want to dine at Acadia, I won't be able to get a table. Acadia is a new restaurant just a few short blocks from the MOMA. Some friends and I ate there last night for the first time. The ambiance is clean, inviting, and very upscale, appropriate as much for a family reunion as a business dinner. The waitstaff is ample and extremely attentive, especially for this post-covid era when waiters are notoriously few in number and undertrained. Our maitre d' and waiter, Jazz and Almenko, were prompt, helpful, and friendly. But the overwhelming appeal of this restaurant is the food. Everything, and I mean everything, from the carrot side dish to the crispy lamb entree, is delicious and unique. The bread is fresh and coated with fresh herbs without the overwhelmingly ever-present garlic. Even the humus stood out as far better than the average found in mediterranean and middle eastern restaurants. One of my friends is vegetarian and loves mediterranean cuisine. She felt the food was as good as she's ever had. Finally, try the Silan, a wonderful dessert. I'd give this restaurant six stars if I could.

Some items were wonderful and some items were average. The chicken liver pate was wonderful.. The eggs and latkelatke were nothing special. The ambience is very nice and the food was good. The bread is wonderful. The Service is lacking, especially when the waitress has her back to you and she's talking to the manager and other adults. All three of them were there and when you looked, they were texting. I don't know about her, but they never filled my water. I would definitely eat there, but the only thing that would bother me was the badService.

The food was ok for the price! It was a nice atmosphere and service. But my cocktail ended up being a simple gin and tonic and my fancy meal was just okay

This a large, very pretty restaurant. Our server was efficient and knowledgeable. Dishes were nicely plated and quite tasty. (Salmon & hanger steak). The wine by the glass was disappointing. The pours were stingy and the quality left something to be desired

Avoid at all costs. Terrible service - had a 7:30 res, we were only seated at 8, and no one even came to take our order until we flagged a waiter down at 8:20. Food was mid at best. There are many more choices for good mediterranean food in the city, no need to waste your money here. Absolutely not going back.

My husband and I had dinner at Acadia earlier this year, on January 22, and enjoyed it so much that we've been planning to go back ever since. Therefore, I was very pleased to see that it was one of the few restaurants in our neighborhood which was accepting late dinner reservations, and I booked a 10pm table tonight (March 6) as our post-theater destination. Imagine my surprise and anger when I opened the calendar on my phone this morning, and discovered that Acadia had changed my 10pm reservation to 9:15pm without ever consulting me by phone or text to let me know, let alone asking my approval to do so. If I didn't happen to look at my calendar, I never would have known about the switch. Because of our theater plans, it would've been impossible for us to be at Acadia at 9:15, but that's not even the point. My husband is mobility-challenged, and going out at night has grown increasingly difficult for us, and is something of a special treat. If we had made the effort to go out, only to arrive at Acadia and discover that our reservation wouldn't be honored and the kitchen was closed, I would have exploded. I understand that fewer and fewer restaurants are keeping extended hours for staffing and economic reasons; what I *don't* understand is a venue making late reservations available, then changing them on their customers without notice. If Acadia cannot accommodate reservations past a certain hour, they shouldn't post them. Period. And to modify a reservation without the customer's permission or knowledge is unconscionable. It's a terrible business practice, and even though we live *on the same block*, I will make a point to never patronize them again.

This is a new restaurant, just around for a few months. It's a mid-upscale restaurant in price. The decor is beautiful. The two rotisserie chickens, with roasted potatoes and vegetables were very good and hot. Three problems emerged: 1. My friend wanted steak and grilled octopus. It was listed on the online menu but was not on the restaurant menu. They should not be different. 2.The service leaves something to be desired. Between the flat bread appetizer, they did not change silverware. 3. We ordered coffee and tea after the main meal. After 15 minutes, we asked what happened and they said 2 more minutes. We gave up, paid and left since we had a concert to go to. We will take a while for them to get their staffing up to full strength and trained, and then we'll consider returning.

Bartender with short cut blonde hair was amazing! Food delish! Vibe fabulous. We should've stayed here instead of going to Russian tea room. Best place nice music. Going back!

I live in the neighborhood and we've been wanting to try Acadia since they opened a few weeks ago. Finally went tonight with my family. Wonderful food, we all loved our dishes. Salmon, lamb, steak and chicken. Great service and beautiful decor. Also-the flatbread is amazing. Don't miss out. There are many restaurants off of w 57th and midtown that are great but Acadia was fabulous and a wonderful addition to the neighborhood and a do not miss. We'll be back to try more food and cocktails soon!

We had 5:30 PM Friday reservations at this casual-but-sophisticated Mediterranean restaurant. With an 8:00PM curtain at Carnegie Hall a long block over, we dined early to enjoy our meal leisurely. We were promptly seated when few of the tables were occupied. The extensive wine list was on the table (more on that later) and our server brought menus nearly immediately. We were offered choices of waters, but being tap people, chose the local option. While not particularly extensive, each entry on the menu was more tempting than the last. Check the menus online, but the spare descriptions don't due justice to the wonders of the palate we experienced. The flip side of the menu also included a generous selection of wines by the glass, beers, and cocktails/mocktails. I had the Sancerre; my wife had a Cucumber Spritz. Our first selection was the warm, rich, savory Kubaneh bread, which I can't recommend highly enough. That said, the couple at the next table had the flatbread, served with a variety of spreads. It looked, and from the apparent enthusiasm with which they tucked into it, as good. By the time our entrees arrived, the room had begun to fill, but a few tables remained, so no lengthy waits for any patrons. Our service throughout was prompt without being hovered over, and attentive. After a minor self-inflicted wine spill, a staff member brought a new table setting quickly and without my asking. My wife had the Calsonehs Pasta and I the Horseradish-Crusted Salmon entree. Our vegetables were rotisserie roasted cauliflower and roasted carrots. The Calsonehs is baked lemon ricotta-filled agnolotti, nutmeg spiked bechamel, kashkaval cheese. With two cheeses and bechamel, I don't have to tell you it was rich. It was wonderfully flavorful and complex, with the citrus balancing the richness. So good she didn't want to share the leftovers we brought home. The salmon was visually striking and delicious, made more so by the borscht beets in beet nage stock. One minor disappointment, I would have liked more of the heat from the horseradish. Portions on both vegetable selections were more than generous and might serve as a light main course. As with everything, richly flavorful. The carrots were sweet, tangy, spicy. The cauliflower kept its crisp texture, made a bit smoky on the rotisserie, and was paired with arugula. Of course, "pine nut aioli" will get my undivided attention any time. Dessert? That must wait for a future visit and hope we better pace ourselves. So, I promised to return to the wine list. The biggest of the many surprises for me was that at the back of the many pages of wines from most of the major regions around the world, was a breathtaking list of whiskeys. Or whiskies. It included many from, besides America, Scotland, and Ireland, many goodly representatives from Japan. I chose a Japanese single malt with a sherry cask finish. Suggestions? Maybe for us newbies, a chef's tasting menu? I would love to have sampled more of the items on the menu, if only to know what to order again the next time.

What a terrific experience in the heart of New York City!! The food was amazing and so was the ambiance. Even the table settings were lovely. The menu is perfect for sharing, especially the opening starter sharing plate. So yummy. We also shared the mains. It gave us a chance to try everything. Save room for dessert, it is all worth the calories!! We went at lunch which was just so nice. Not too crowded and well located for a great afternoon in mid town.

Had the lamb neck! Delicious! Lance our waiter was one of the best waiters I've ever had anywhere. Knew the food and wine like an expert. Terrific atmosphere
