Where to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Season all Month Long in San Diego | Eater

"Sitting under its retro-cool red neon sign in the shadow of San Diego International Airport, Aero Club has been part of the city’s bar scene since 1947. It’s beloved equally for its laid-back, dive bar vibe as its impressive collection of whiskeys. Snug curved booths invite deep conversations or board game battles, while over in the game room, a dozen pinball machines, new and classic arcade games, darts, pool, basketball, and skee-ball keep the competition lively. Toast to old and new friends with Be Good or Be Gone, a spirited combination that plays off of Jameson’s grassy and vanilla overtones with floral elderflower, lemon, lime, sour mix, and club soda." - Mary Beth Abate

25 Bars in San Diego Supporting Joshua Tree | Eater

"Aero Club is a nationally recognized dive bar that lives up to its reputation in the best possible way, including a whiskey list that features more than 1,000 entries. In this setting, the PDX OFX cocktail feels appropriate: A take on the Old Fashioned, it uses Westward Whiskey as its base and adds maple salt syrup and two types of bitters to recreate a classic. It’s the type of drink to sip in between turns on the pool table or the pinball machine." - Vox Creative

If you haven’t been to Aero Club Bar, THIS IS FOR YOU. Off the bat, free popcorn and cookies at the door. Who even does that, I felt so incredibly at home as a fellow popcorn gremlin. A huge selection of whiskeys and promotions- we came on Whiskey Wednesday where we had two options of alcohol, 5/6 for a single or 8/10 for a double in any well drink. What an amazing price, especially in THIS economy?!? Every single staff member was amazing but my girl Lee was serving charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent (C.U.N.T). She was so sweet, sassy, and answered all our questions. TIP HER WELL SHES THE BEST!!! Also, if you like Dave and Busters there are a HUGE selection of games, and they have a similar power card system. If games aren’t for you, enjoy the BEAUTIFUL scenery inside - seriously the lights are stunning- and there’s plenty of great outdoor seating. A huge plus if you come here on your birthday :) I felt so loved and welcome and I will coming back here 1000 more to eat cookies and popcorn, drink whiskey, and lose myself in conversation with Lee

How have I lived in San Diego this long and just now discovered Aero Club Bar? This place is the dive bar jackpot: cheap drinks that don’t taste cheap, a bartender who’s basically your new best friend, and enough games to turn a casual stop-in into an all-night arcade crawl. We’re talking pool, pinball, ski ball, a basketball machine—basically Chuck E. Cheese for grown-ups… but with whiskey. The food truck out back reminds me of bars Austin TX —a step above bar food that hits the spot — like the universe just knew you’d need a bite between ski ball battles. If you’re into overpriced cocktails and curated playlists, keep walking. But if you want a no-frills, all-fun, what-the-heck-have-I-been-missing kind of night? Aero Bar’s the move.

If you're looking for pure FUN, Aero Club is where you need to go. My boyfriend and I seriously can't get enough of this place — it's our go-to escape. The vibe is electric, full of great energy, and incredibly social. We've met so many fun, interesting people just hanging out near the iconic whiskey bar — which, by the way, has one of the most impressive whiskey selections in town! We love starting the night with a little friendly competition — pinball, Mario Kart, basketball — before heading to the food truck for what has easily become our favorite: the smoky burger (trust me, it's a must-try 🔥). The whole place is a perfect blend of casual and cool. The staff here takes the experience to the next level. The bartenders are always on point — super friendly, attentive, and you can tell they love what they do. The bar manager, Lee, runs a tight ship: everything's clean, organized, and the whole team seems genuinely happy to be there. Special shoutouts to Kaylee, Eva, and Izay — who literally went above and beyond when I lost my phone one night and didn't stop searching until it turned up. Such a relief! Even when it’s busy (and it does get busy — it's that popular), it never feels overwhelming or overcrowded. There’s always a great mix of games, people, and that laid-back-but-lively atmosphere that keeps us coming back. Snag the pool table if you can — it’s a fun bonus. Oh and we drive 20 minutes to get here. No place like this! ❤️❤️❤️ Aero Club has quickly become our happy place — and honestly, one of the best-kept gems in the city. Can’t wait to be back! 🍻🎯🎮

The first great impression my girlfriend & I had was from the valet Roman Canaan. He was very kind and was great at parking with dignity and respect. Kaylee Danielle the bartender was a nice vibe and very efficient at servicing multiple guests with grace & ease. Jerich hiatt from the food truck solidified this a successful date night for my lady and I because the food was absolute 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 We had the Chilé Relleno Burger and Mushroom burger + fries. Red wine, charbroiled burgers, video games and vibes. I highly recommend this place My name is Daniel and I am the manager & sales representative at “MG” Smoke and vape. iG: @mgsmokeandvape New Google Guide ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a cool little dive bar. We stopped in for a drink before our ghost tour and we were not disappointed. The drinks were incredible, the staff were really kind and went above and beyond when my wife didn’t like her drink. The arcade was a cool idea and we ended up playing skee ball for a bit, Would love to come back here soon!

I can't hear about 12 years ago and it was an amazing whiskey selection and now returning with the arcade and golden seating out the patio it's amazing.

Google
One of my favorite bars in San Diego. Parking is a little rough but it's worth it. The service is good, they have some fun games, the overall look and vibe of the bar is warm and comforting. Kind of gives you the warm feeling of Christmas if that makes any sense.

Google
My father was recommended this place while looking for a good whiskey bar—and it did not disappoint. He’s a serious Scotch collector, and even he was impressed. You’d never guess from the outside just how incredible the selection is. The sign says “Best Whiskey Bar on the West Coast,” and honestly, I might agree. The whiskey list is extensive, the prices are surprisingly reasonable, and every bartender we met was friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. It has a laid-back, dive bar vibe, but the whiskey selection is anything but—absolutely top notch.

Yelp
Aero Club is a hidden gem that any cocktail enthusiast would love. The moment I stepped in, the old-school aviation theme and cozy ambiance set the mood for an unforgettable evening. The bartenders here are top-notch, crafting some of the best cocktails I've ever had. Speaking of unforgettable moments, I was sure I saw Shaquille O'Neal chilling at the bar. My excitement levels shot through the roof! But then again, I had a few too many drinks, so who knows? The place has that kind of vibe where anything seems possible. Whether you're looking for a place to unwind after work or a spot to start your night out, Aero Club is the perfect destination. Just be prepared--you might leave with some wild stories to tell!

Yelp
Aw, good ol' Aero club. Many great memories I have had here in my 20's but, I digress....I haven't been here in YEARS, but some of my younger friends wanted to head here after we were out up north for dinner. First off, they have a valet parking lot next door? WTH? I guess this isn't a "dive bar" anymore. Or maybe that's just our SD version of dealing with the crap parking we have in the city now. Only 5 bucks, and I wasn't mad at it, I love parking lots! Esp valet whenever possible. There was a line when we pulled up but we walked right in. Yep, still a dive bar! We were there early around 11 on a Friday night after dinner, and it was pretty busy, but not that busy where I grabbed a seat and eventually a booth. The drinks were a good price point, if not - pretty cheap IMO for SD. I'm a vodka soda girl in a bar like this, nothing fancy. Nice bartenders as well. Never had to wait for a drink. Good to see that this place hasn't changed as far as that dive bar feeling goes. The music is where I got nostalgic and dare I say "Old"? The music is on the jukebox and the music was playing my era. 90's - early 2000s and the crowd in the bar was 20s to early 30s. Singing their hearts out. Good crowd just enjoying their friends and drinks. There's the back patio and the old school game room, and the nostalgic xmas lighting decorating the ceiling/roof. Glad we came. def would return. Keep it up Aero Club.

Yelp
Bf and I biked to Old Town for a marg flight, but wanted to keep the party going. We continued on to Aero Club a place he had been to a while ago. It was cool! The decor is super fun- lots of lights strung up and tons of whiskey bottles at the bar. I ordered the elderflower cocktail (but subbed Tito's) since I'm not much of a whiskey fan. It was delicious and perfect for the warm day! The bf got some fancy whiskey and an IPA, which he was stoked about. The bartender was super nice and quick. After getting our drinks, we walked to the back where there are tons of pinball machines and some old school games (mortal combat, donkey Kong, pac man, golden tee and others). We got a game card and played a bunch of pinball and finished with a round of mortal combat. They also have skee ball and basketball. I love bars with games and this was such a fun spot. I'd totally recommend it!! Other info: happy hour every day 2-7, which also includes some of the arcade games! dog friendly and free popcorn!

Yelp
I really love the vibe here . The Aero club is decorated so cute . The crowd is chilll , the drinks are good and strong and it's always a good time. The game room in the back is pretty fun too .

Yelp
Don't let the outside appearance fool you - If you're looking for a good time this is definitely the place to be! They have a pool table, pinball machines, super mario cart, a dart board, Pac-Man, air hockey, a food truck with a bench's outside, a smoking section in a different outdoor area and cozy booth seating inside. Definitely a place that time could easily slip away at. It has such cute decor; 100% aviation themed which was really fun. And as if all of that wasn't good enough they have Oreos, fresh out of the pack, waiting for you at the front door and a fresh popcorn machine tempting you after you grab your first drink from the bar. This is not the place to count calories but, it is one that could guarantee a good time.

Yelp
what do you get when you combine all you can eat free popcorn, a jukebox, an arcade and a back room bonus sitting area? Aero Club! this joint knows how to do kitch, grit and charm all in one. fun place with good vibes all around! $5 an arcade card, serving up hoppy soda water for non drinkers. Hard to get the bartenders attention, typical for a bar. Free parking in the lot next door between 5-6pm, otherwise $5 valet parking. Taco truck outside not always open, like when I went, it wasn't.

Yelp
Aaaaahhhh I wanted to go to Aero club for years. Heard it was divey and had all the whiskey. Finally made it and I guess I missed the divey years because I don't find it so divey and now its set up as a gamer heaven, especially for us pinball players. Has a great lineup of pinball. The bartenders make AMAZING drinks and they do, in fact, have all the whiskey. I LOVE THIS BAR. We'll keep going even if we do have to pay to park on the weekends. ha! Go here. Drink whiskey. you won't regret it.

Yelp
When Aero Club changed hands I was the first to wonder if it would ever be the same. Maybe it's not exactly the same but what I learned was: sometimes change works! And what always made Aero Club the best is still in full force: comfortable bar seats, knowledgeable, excellent bartenders who can make amazing cocktails, perfect bar lighting and a great juke box. It's always an amazing night when you include this bar (last stop is best because you won't want to leave).
google avatar

Yelp
A dive bar with lots of character. The wall is covered in their famous whiskey bottles with more options that you can imagine. They've got a free popcorn machine so you know it'll be a good time. On a Saturday night, they also had a food truck in the back. Service was good and my drink was fine. Seems like this place caters to a specific audience. I can't put my finger on what that is but I'd say those who like a place with a little edge and no frills. Seems like a great spot for neighborhood regulars! Parking in the area can be tricky and there isn't a ton else around this area besides Starlite or if you go further, the restaurants near Lucha and El Indio.

Yelp
One of the best arcades for pinball in San Diego, but I don't recommend playing in the evenings when it gets really busy. It gets loud, almost oppressively loud. I would also highly prefer a real DJ playing music throughout the bar, rather than the jukebox held at the whims of whomever is near it.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a neat little hole in the wall bar located outside of the down town area near the airport. There is limited street parking available and they have their own private lot in a little fenced in are right next door. This bar has a lot of personality. There are murals, posters , tons of Christmas lights on the ceiling, model planes hanging, and bottles everywhere. It has a nostalgic kind of feel and a is a bit older bar. They have a full bar with seating and some circular booths along the walls. The bar has a full game room that features pinball machines and video games. I believe that games take a card that you can load money on and do not take cash. Next to the game area is another area that lead to a patio with a bunch of tables, a pool table and an air hockey table. You will find some booths on this side too and a projector hook to a television feed that was playing sports while I was there. It is a nice chill spot. There is an enclosed area in the back that is open air and where the smokers can go out to burn one. The bar has a popcorn machine, with free self service popcorn. There is a video juke box machine right next to the popcorn machine that gives you the opportunity to be a DJ. The staff there was very friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed conversating with them. The bar has a menu of signature cocktails that include some egg whites. At first, I was a bit skeptical. I did not want to drink raw egg. But after conferring with the bartender, he was able to ease my fears. I decided to get a Whiskey Sour and it was delicious. Very savory. The egg whites made it smooth. I ended the night with a Aero Mule and it was pretty good too, but my favorite was the Whiskey Sour. This is a pretty cool local bar that is not a touristy spot. It is very laid back and chill. It is pretty easy to get to and has an amazing staff with some top notch service and some spirited drinks. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Yelp
Ok. I have been to Aero when it was considered one of the finest neighborhood bars because of it's alcohol selection and fame as a dive bar for real bar flys. But why I have never reviewed it, I guess I was waiting for this remodel. It is now bigger and more space, is it better? The loud answer is Yes. I think it is now owned by the same people who own the Waterfront bar and grill in Little Italy. Imagine a bigger space with games (pinball machines), air hockey etc and the ubiquitous popcorn. More salty popcorn, more drinks. I will say I was genuinely surprised especially adding a permanent spot for a bbq food truck. It only meant, you can actually eat here now, enjoy games and stil have the best selection of alcohol. The games use the card system and are not expensive (inflation of course). It reminds me of the Coin-op bar in North Park but with a lot more space and more familiar surroundings. There is limited parking, otherwise, this area of Mission Hills is better travelled by Uber/Lyft or taxi. Had a good time, will come back and enjoy another evening at Aero. See you there!

Yelp
Beast selection ever! A must do when in San Diego! Yeas a BEAST of a selection! It's too bad I do t have enough money to try them all!

Peyton W.

Yelp
We live down the street and were locals to Aero Club, went on a weekly or so basis. Primarily, we went to play darts, pool, and pin ball. We also went for the incredible BBQ food truck. Over the last few months, Aero club took away 1 of the pool tables, making it harder to find an opening. Then, they took away the second pool table, the darts, and many of the better pin ball machines such as Star Wars and Stranger Things. They added basketball and skee ball in their place. The BBQ food truck was also changed. As such, we will no longer go back to Aeroclub as they took away everything we came for...

Yelp
Aero Club has all the right ingredients for a good time. First things first, shoutout to the customer service - these guys know how to keep the good vibes flowing. Now, let's get to the good stuff - the drinks. They've got a variety that'll make your head spin (in a good way, of course). And speaking of spinning, the patio vibes are on point. Perfect for sippin' and chillin', if you ask me. Oh, but it doesn't stop there. They've got an arcade game area that's just plain rad. It's like being a kid again, but with a drink in hand. And here's the icing on the cake - the food truck vendors. My personal fave? The BBQ one. Seriously, they know how to do finger-lickin' good eats. So, if you're in San Diego and looking for a unique hangout that's got it all - from drinks to games to killer food - Aero Club is your spot. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Aero Club glowed up! I was only familiar with the bar area on previous visits but on my most recent visit, Aero Club had a whole arcade room, game room, outdoor bbq area. It was like an adult Chuck E. Cheese with a wide range of whiskies at very reasonable prices. Great option to grab a few drinks and hangout with friends!
google avatar

Transgreaser F.

Yelp
Fun fun pinball play! I recommend their happy hour. Their wall of liquor is massive but I'm all about beer and pinball.
google avatar

Terrence S.

Yelp
A unique bar that's definitely worth visiting in SD. I love the vibes with the various arcade games, the different outdoor and indoor rooms with pool tables and air hockey. They are known for the whiskey, and there are so many selections. The bartenders/servers are quick and efficient in getting your drinks, and very nice and knowledgable about the drinks as well! Pricing though is average to high, just like most clubs/bars in downtown. There is a big parking lot right next to the bar so no need to walk far, but there is also street park should this place be packed.

Yelp
Hubby & I were on a GoCar tour and learned about this iconic whiskey bar's history. The Aero Club was first opened in 1947 by a well-respected female pilot, Mariam Profit, who wanted to open an airplane-themed bar for other airline staff as well as the workers of a nearby aircraft factory. Operated as a flailing wine and beer bar at the time, the neighborhood outpost was purchased in 2004 by Bill Lutzius and has since become known as one of San Diego's top dive bars, boasting a selection of more than 1,200 whiskey options. We decided to stop by since #1) the GoCar tour although fun was scary as sh*# going over the Coronado Bridge and I definitely needed a drink to calm me down afterwards, #2) hubby is an Irish whiskey fiend & we thought it would be fun to check out, #3) we both love trying new places, especially if there's a really cool history to it. So glad we stopped by this bar. On the outside you wouldn't expect much & actually may be a little nervous about the neighborhood & outside appearance, but once you walk in you're instantly greeted by the staff & feel right at home. Hubby & I bellied up to the bar & enjoyed some adult refreshments. The selection of whiskeys is truly amazing!! Our wonderful bartender Jose was personable, informative & truly amazing! The hubs tried some new whiskeys he hasn't had before & enjoyed a wonderful old fashioned especially made by Jose. So good!! They have a pool table, pinball machines, jukebox & most days food options out back (a taco truck). Give this place a try whether or not you are a whiskey lover!! You definitely won't regret it!! And be sure to tell Jose that Tina sent ya!

Yelp
Very fun bar with a divey (but safe) feel. The beer/drinks are amazing, music is catchy, staff is great and there's lot to do here. There is an outdoor area, lots of arcade games, pool and tables for visiting. I love all of the Christmas lights and cool murals here! This bar is open late too, until 2am. Many nearby close early, so this is a great option if you want to stay out a little later.
google avatar

Yelp
I cannot say enough positive things about Aero Bar so I'll keep it short. Awesome DJ, unique ambience, inviting/friendly crowd, and experienced staff. This place has it all. If you are looking for a fun night out, this is your place!
google avatar

Yelp
Arcade bars have been my new favorite places to go for a drink and Aero club is a classic! If you are a whiskey lover this place is for you because they have hundreds to choose from and makes a great display behind the bar. We came for a quick drink after dinner and ended up playing some games. You get a game card from the machine which is nice instead of having to get cash and quarters. The Mario kart game is my absolute favorite I will for sure be back to play it again! We enjoyed some pinball as well as air hockey. They have a large outdoor space as well with a food truck that looks like it's bbq so we want to come back to try it soon! Overall love this spot if you haven't been yet I highly recommend for a fun night out.

Yelp
The Aero Club in San Diego has undergone some serious changes under new ownership, and I have to say, I'm impressed. They've added an arcade, and let me tell you, it's like going to a bar and a time machine all in one. One minute, I'm sipping on a top-notch cocktail, feeling like a fancy adult, and the next, I'm playing pinball like it's 1985 all over again. It's a trip, man. But don't worry, they haven't lost the classic Aero Club vibe that we all know and love. It's still the same dive bar with a heart of gold that it's always been. The only difference is now, you can enjoy a cold drink while reliving your childhood. I mean, it's not like they've gone and turned it into a fancy rooftop lounge or anything like that. The liquor collection has not suffered one bit, and if anything, it's better than ever. The new ownership has clearly gone above and beyond to ensure that the history was not lost in the renovations, and I have to say, I'm impressed. Speaking of the new ownership, let's talk about the history of the Aero Club. It's been around for decades, and in that time, it had build a really solid fanbase of loyal regulars from the neighborhood and beyond. But the new ownership, they're something special. They're like the bar whisperers or something and it seems absolutely no love was lost. They know how to keep the place feeling like home while also making it feel new and exciting. It's like they've got a magic touch or something. So yeah, the Aero Club in San Diego is the perfect combination of old and new. It's like a comfortable pair of jeans with a brand new zipper. It's a dive bar that's been given a facelift, and it's all the better for it. They've managed to keep the classic Aero Club vibe while also making it feel fresh and exciting. And once again, the liquor collection has not suffered one bit. So, if you're looking for a good time, head on down to the Aero Club and see for yourself. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
This a great dive bar just north of Little Italy. I think because it is off the beaten path that it doesn't get super crowded. The middle room is full of arcade games like pinball, Halo, Mario Kart etc It is dog friendly and has an outdoor area too. The drinks are reasonably priced. It's one of the best dive bars in San Diego
google avatar

Brianna D.

Yelp
I have not been here since pre-Covid, so probably around 2017/2018 when it was just your typical dive bar. It was great then but it's even better now! We came it after dinner for drinks and I was blown away by how much it had expanded with the arcade and the outdoor section with a food truck. Music was great, the staff seemed very attentive walking around and picking up empty drinks, wiping down tables. If we hadn't just had dinner, I would have loved to try the food truck. I'll definitely be back!

Virginia M.

Yelp
I went on Monday and it was such a fun experience! The lovely bartender made the most refreshing margaritas, and the last word was perfectly balanced. She was very helpful and patient with it being our first time and birthdays. We had such a great time we stayed into the next shift, and the crew was equally as amazing and helpful. Thanks y'all !

Yelp
Seriously one of the hidden gems in San Diego. I attended an event at the Cordova Bar and it was recommended to check out the Aero Bar. Easy win because it's been on my bucket list and I really didn't need a reason to try the new (and oldest?) whiskey bar in SD. Tucked on India street just north of little Italy, this bar hit the mark. Definitely a dive-type bar but packs a punch. Front part houses what seems like an endless supply of the good brown juice (whiskey!), keep walking through and you'll find an arcade room. A nice surprise for sure. Walk through the second door and you'll find a nice sized patio and bbq food truck for a good pairing for whatever you're drinking. Staff was was awesome, vibes were very eclectic with a cool mixed crowd, and most importantly freshly popped popcorn. BIG WIN. Love finding bars that still serve fresh popcorn. If that doesn't impress, the Sunday Happy Hour 4-7, where all drafts are $4 should brighten your day lol will definitely be back to hang at this cool San Diego staple.

Yelp
Aero Club Bar is the best 'dive' bar I've ever been to. The whiskey selection is insane, the drinks are very well made (hello, luxardo cherries at a dive bar), the popcorn is free and so good, and the place is.. clean? What? You can choose the music they're playing, you can try everything from simple jack and coke to high end Japanese whiskey in custom cocktails... I mean really, I love this place. It doesn't feel 'divey', it feels like a really solid place that any group can enjoy being at.
google avatar

Yelp
The Aero Club is a San Diego legend and for good reason. They've been slinging drinks here for 75 years (you read that right). The bartenders are friendly. The customers are friendly. The place is spacious. They've got a large free parking lot next door. And you will get a whiskey sour here. It's absolutely terrific and goes down waaaaay too easily. Be careful. The place is s lot bigger than you think. And they've got more pinball machines than you would believe. They also have about every type of whiskey on the planet. But they can make any kind of drink here or just pour you a draft beer, if you wish. This is simply a great, great bar. I dare you not to enjoy your visit.

I've driven past on the 5 for years and always wanted to stop by. When I learned it's a whiskey bar, I made it happen! They have a small lot and also street parking. The staff is amazing! Super friendly and they can recommend something if you don't know what you want. I went with an old fashioned and it was amazing! They have a few pool tables, pinball and some classic video games to entertain you. Seating on the back patio if you'd like to sit outside. My kind of place! If I lived nearby, I'd be here all the time. Definitely coming back soon!

Yelp
What's not to love about this place, a classic San Diego neighborhood like bar. Drinks are great and the people fit the community. Eclectic decor greets you at the door and within a few minutes if a cold libation is not in your hand then it's your fault. There is no room for the timid in this bar.....be assertive. Last thing I will add is that I have lived in San Diego for almost 35 years and have driven by a thousand times without stopping......glad I finally did!

Yelp
This is a fun place to be on the weekend! It's in a tucked away area that doesn't necessarily give you Gaslamp vibes, or North Park vibes, but it's something different and it's nice! Definitely a mostly-grown crowd that is still cool (lol). The inside decor is great, bathrooms are clean. There is enough space to sit and be free. The music is all over the place (I heard some 90s rap and some real red country music in two tracks). There is street parking. It was really busy when I went, and I found parking VERY easily. The staff here is amazing. Super friendly, and super fast service. Definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for a good night!

Yelp
We came here on a Friday night, it was some what crowded but we were just there for an hour and a half. I will have to go back another time to really gauge the crowd and atmosphere here. The bartenders are pretty quick and the security was very respectful, I think his name is Crispin and the homie gave me a lot of respect and even got me a shot. Made me feel at home.

Yelp
Pinball and free popcorn. Who needs more? Ok, so there's other things there, like BBQ, pool, air hockey, and I think drinks? But as a potential pinball addict (is there a 12 step program?) they had me at pinball - some of the older games are a little stiff, but I suppose that's part of the fun and strategy of it all. A great place to spend a night out with friends, and ok -yes, they make a pretty decent old fashioned too. See their amazing whiskey selection while you are there.

Yelp
Well I have to say they really spiffed this place up when they redid it. It now has a pinball arcade -- I'm not kidding -- and a food truck outside in the back. The aero club that you always loved is still there and they tripled the size of it. Really amazing job. I don't usually give five star reviews but this definitely deserves it. I'll be back for sure

Yelp
Beautiful old bar and worth the walk from Little Italy (or Uber here). This was the last stop on an epic San Diego pub crawl. Love the string lights, huge wall of bottles and the outdoor space. Friendly bartender, cool vibe on a Monday afternoon (vacation day). Definitely would love to go back. Cheers!

Yelp
This whiskey bar is a hidden gem and has delicious whiskey sour drinks! The staff was really friendly and the arcade games are super fun (pinball machines, darts, air hockey, pool, etc.). There was a short line on Saturday night, but once we made it inside the space didn't feel too crowded, which I appreciated. They had a great selection of whiskey (the bar is stunning!) and the music was great. If you get hungry they offer free popcorn and a bbq food truck in the patio! This place is seriously awesome!

Yelp
I love old, dark bars with lots of character. This place is all that. But it also has a huge game room with a dozen or so sweet pinball machines and a couple pool tables. And a big patio area with a bbq food truck. Oh, and one of the largest whiskey selections in the country. Opens at 2 pm.

Yelp
It can get really hot inside but love the place, it's original not only in the area but all around San Diego .

Yelp
Have always been a huge fan of Aero since I moved here little over a decade ago. Haven't been back since the remodel but it really changed it up. Crowd is a little different than it used to be but that'll happen. Not gonna lie, I miss the old layout and when it was a little more low key establishment but they did a really nice job on opening the back area up for video games, pool table and the BBQ truck with seating out back (which was unfortunately down this week and Was looking forward to trying it out) but I'll definitely be back to give that a shot when it reopens. I've always been a fan of the service here, in addition to more whiskey options then you could drink in a lifetime.

Yelp
Such a great bar! The decor in the main part of the bar is all over the place but in a fun way, including Christmas lights, Japanese lanterns, beer logos, a popcorn machine, and a jukebox. There's also an arcade and outdoor section with a BBQ food truck. The bar specializes in whiskey with an impressive collection and super knowledgeable bartenders. Excited to come back and try more drinks.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. Didn't get a chance to try the bbq myself but my sisters did and they said it was good. The drinks were awesome, great beer selection for a whisky bar. The bartenders were on it, quick and very nice to talk to. The bar itself and gaming area are more spacious than it appears to be.

Yelp
FINALLY got down to this bar. Went to try the BBQ but really enjoyed the vibe of the bar too. Pretty big arcade area and nice outdoor seating too. I'll be back for sure.
