The 12 Best Restaurants At JFK Airport

"AeroNuova is located at the center of Terminal 5’s main hub, so you can keep an eye on the departures screen to check for gate changes, observe the sparrows that fly through the terminal, and enjoy some well-sauced rigatoni or cabonara while checking what the weather’s like wherever you’re going. If you’re craving something a bit lighter, the beet and farro salad is a solid bet." - anne cruz

Our experience here was disappointing. The server never introduced themselves, which made the service feel impersonal. I requested hot sauce, but it never arrived. We ordered a pesto pizza, but instead of the pesto being on the pizza, it was served in a container on the side. When I asked why, the server explained that some people don’t like pesto. That explanation didn’t sit well with me—if I ordered a pepperoni pizza, I wouldn’t expect the pepperoni to come on the side. We were sharing the pizza, but no sharing plates were provided, so we had to eat directly over the placemats, which quickly got soaked with oil. It made me wonder how clean these mats are, especially if they’re reused as plates. Throughout the meal, no one refilled our water or checked in with us. While the food itself was fine, the lack of service really stood out. No one even said goodbye as we left. Overall, it wasn’t a great experience.

Service was slow, and overpriced for the portion sizes. Server was nice but not overly attentive. I would not recommend if you’re in a time crunch.

Main problem: payment. That is a zero star. They want you to use that Flo app. For which you must sign up for. Which takes time. And these days, those app (too many as well) are not really secure. If you want to pay with credit card, you must fill in all your information on their tablet. Which takes way too match time as well. This is so amazingly backwards in today’s convenience of technology. The owner/ manager should think twice about their payment strategy. It’s an airport where people are often in a hurry. Cleanness: not clean. They put me at a table which was not wiped clean. Service: slower than slow. Again, it’s an airport, people are in a hurry. You can’t apply an European restaurant mentality. I wanted to give 1 star, but only because the server apologized for the mess (payment approach, cleanness) I gave 2 stars. The manager should be fired or the owner needs to sell the place for allowing a better business on that location. Also, the overall rating speaks for itself.

Ok, it's an airport, but the food is the worst kind of frozen/package awfulness with terrible service. Do not visit. I had omelette and coffee. Probably 60% of the meal was "country style potatoes", out of a packet and over cooked. Omelette was tiny, flavorless, and the same temperature as the sun. Ketchup (!) Haphazardly thrown on the side like I'm 4 years old. Coffee full of grounds and burnt. Service was worse. Took 15 minutes to get my coffee, after repeated signalling to multiple servers, and there was no offer of a refill on my coffee (just as well because it was terrible). Left no tip due to bad service, and it was still $25. Rip off.

While it may be convenient to order from your phone, it would be great if your employees actually said to patrons that was the process required. Waiter took our order drink never to return. When he passed by 15 min later, I said we were waiting for our drinks and he said "I have to get order ". Walks away without explaining we actually have to order from the phone. Never returned. We fugured it out later from another table with a different waiter. Food was just ok, came out out of order. Appetizer came out way after my meal. Waiter finally brought our drinks never to look at us again. Husband had to ask a different waiter for a refill. The app makes you pay the tip *at the time of ordering*. Unbelievable. So you pay ahead for the service tip, and thus there is zero incentive to provide good service and actually earn their tip. Never again. Fortunately, I don't use this airport often.

I enjoyed dining here because the service was great. I had an issue with the payment issue which was a life lesson. Because the restaurant was green, they used a paperless menu and payment method. The next time I visit, I will input my credit card number and CVC number to check out to receive my order without issues and security glitches from contactless payment methods. The manager went above and beyond courteousness and friendliness. He was a true professional. He sat with me to ensure that my issue was resolved but I refused to have the meal on the house because service like what I experienced deserved paying for the meal. I would dine in again at this restaurant and gladly recommend 👌 this restaurant to anyone who wants a bite to eat before boarding and while waiting

Good place for a bite before you fly. Located in the center court before all gates. Service is not quick so allow 45 minutes for a sit down meal. Drinks and food are good quality and tasty. Recommend trying the Norwegian eggs and Espresso Martini. Service is courteous but can get busy quickly.

A lot of things went wrong including the food being average for an expensive price. The reason for the one star is because our server was sick and did not even think to put on a mask to not get his customers sick and was wiping his nose every few seconds. We were traveling to a destination and hopefully no one in my family gets sick. Very inconsiderate.
