"Offers vacay vibes and cool breezes; recommended dishes include fried crab croquettes and whole fried fish." - Eater Staff
"Opened in June 2022, part of José Andrés's dual restaurant openings." - Farley Elliott
"Located deep inside The Conrad—which is deep inside The Grand LA complex in Downtown—Agua Viva is an all-day rooftop restaurant and bar with mediocre views (it faces away from the skyline and mountains) and even more mediocre food. The Latin-leaning menu has a few interesting-sounding dishes like creamy crab fritters and green pepper gazpacho, but ultimately, none of the flavors are different from what you’d find at other corporate-y hotel rooftops. Considering how complicated—and expensive—it is to park here, we recommend skipping Agua Viva, unless you’re staying at the hotel or can easily walk from your office or apartment for a sunset cocktail. "The beefy bar-style burger is composed of ribeye and given a nice slice of American cheese. Peppers add a zip, a garlicky aioli amps up the richness, and the views bring the whole thing home." - Eater Staff
"Agua Viva, a rooftop option that’s meant to capture the beach club energy of coastal Spain, but with flavors pulled from across the Latin and Asian diaspora. Here, diners can wile away the summer with shared plates of coconut ceviche, do-it-yourself salmon handrolls, a ribeye burger, and plenty of drinks. There are two dining spaces in all, one upper and one lower, offering views out to the San Gabriels and across Downtown." - Farley Elliott
