"An omakase-style sushi bar by the same chef who gifted Miami with Lung Yai Tapas, this intimate spot differs from its sister restaurant by offering Japanese cuisine. The small sushi bar serves pristine sushi and sashimi along with poke bowls. Make a reservation in advance, as it fills up quickly." - Allison Ramirez
"Ahi Sushi is the sister restaurant of Lung Yai and only about the size of a very nice walk-in closet. The sushi counter can seat about six to eight comfortably, and their small a la carte menu has really good rolls, nigiri, and sashimi. They also do one of Miami's best omakase dinners that's a refreshingly casual experience. Also, this place is BYOB (with $20 corkage)." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo
"Ahi Sushi is right in the busiest part of Calle Ocho, and approximately the size of Tyler Herro’s walk-in closet (we’re guessing, but it feels right). The sushi counter, run by the Lung Yai team, seats six to eight people comfortably, and they have a small a la carte menu as well as an excellent omakase for a little over $100. The maki, nigiri, and sashimi are all excellent and fairly straightforward. Plus, this place is smack in the middle of Calle Ocho’s beating heart, so it’s a trip to watch the carnival happening outside the window while enjoying a quiet meal here." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino
"Ahi Sushi is only about the size of a very nice walk-in closet, and quiet enough inside that you almost forget you’re in the beating heart of Calle Ocho. The sushi counter can seat six to eight people comfortably, and their small a la carte menu has really good maki, nigiri, and sashimi. They also do a great omakase for $130 per person, if you're in the mood to splurge. They're BYOB too, so hit up Union Beer Store across the street for some beer or wine before you sit down." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo
"Little Havana is best known as a hub for world-class Cuban fare, but omakase-style Ahi Sushi Bar breaks the mold. Established by the same chef behind Miami’s Lung Yai Tapas (just down the street), this cozy venue serves pristine sushi, sashimi, and poke bowls. Be sure to reserve a table beforehand, as seats fill up quickly." - Alona Martinez
