Aita Trattoria

Superb brunch!! I had the Oxtail Burger (cooked medium), and the Cure (two eggs, home fries, bacon, and a blue berry pancake). The burger was so juicy and melted in my mouth. The breakfast potatoes were seriously my favorite! They were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. YUMMY!!! Between the Oxtail Entree and the Cure, I would recommend going with the Cure. The variety hit every taste bud. Thank you Aita Trattoria for such a great experience!!! I for sure recommend trying their brunch or visiting their sister restaurant Aita. I had dinner there and it was one of the best Italian dinners I ever had.

I've been to Aita twice in the last month for dinner. The menu was different this time. The first time I had the spaghetti vongole and it was excellent. This time I had their new black squid ink and seafood pasta. It was absolutely delicious. I can't believe someone served me that much seafood for $22 in Brooklyn. The service was also excellent and I had a really interesting orange wine.

Fantastic and authentic!! The flavors in our dishes were just perfect....and this was after coming home from Italy just the week prior. The lasagna is the best. We had the mushrooms and the artichokes salad which was delicious and the arancini was full of flavor. The atmosphere felt like a small trattoria feel, very quaint. Service is outstanding, every staff member looked like they enjoyed serving and were very pleasant. Plus the wine selection is nice too!! Highly recommend!

Overall, I'm a fairly mixed on this outpost of Aita. The Clinton Hill location is a solid five stars but not this one. I'll start with one of the only high points, the bartender was excellent. All of our cocktails were delicious. I had the Smoky Bee, a mezcal riff on a Bees Knees. It was nicely smoky and a bit sour but perfectly balanced. Others ordered the Blood Orange Negroni, a Cynar Negroni, and the bourbon-based Sicily vs Kentucky. Everyone was very happy with their choices. Moving on to the appetizers is where things started to get a little mixed. We got Sicilian-style Arancini and the Fried Cauliflower. Thumbs down on the arancini and thumbs up on the cauliflower. The arancini was mostly cheese and very little rice and kinda bland although the accompanying ratatouille was good. The cauliflower was much more successful, perfectly fried, not at all greasy, and with a great aioli. As for entrees, I chose the Spaghetti Carbonara. While I generally enjoyed it, it wasn't what I've come to expect from a carbonara. It wasn't very creamy and there was a TON of pancetta which I like but it overwhelmed the dish. Others chose the Pollo al Marsala, the Bucatini Amatriciana, and the Lasagna. My companion who ordered the lasagna was happy with it but the other two had similar issues to me, very untraditional preparations so they were disappointed with them. I did enjoy a nice glass of Nebbiolo with my spaghetti. Lastly, our server was very efficient and reasonably attentive but not friendly. All things considered, not sure I'd return.

This is a great brunch place in Brooklyn near Prospect Park. The service was a bit slow. They took 20 minutes to take our order and we had to ask for the check but food was delicious

One of my favorite pasta places in the neighborhood! The quality of food is phenomenal compared to the price, and it's even better than most restaurants in Little Italy! I've been here 3 times in a month.

Delicious brunch and drinks!! The Oxtail burger was so friggin good. If you like burgers, this one is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Fries were perfectly cooked. Came with a small salad. I got mine without the bun. The truffle ravioli was a much larger portion than we thought! (Some places give you 6 raviolis for $24... not here!) Really decadent sauce. Some actual truffle slices in there. Artichoke salad was great! It’s hidden under the greens in the photo, but there were 8-10 fried chunks. I’d definitely get this again. We also got tea and the Sicily vs Kentucky cocktail. I wish the cocktail was a little stronger, but it was very tasty. Not sweet at all, which is how I like it. Great service! They accommodated us 5 mins before the dinner change over (which we didn’t know was happening!) They had 2 outdoor tables that could seat 4. Right by a gorgeous window flower box. Total for all of this plus tip was $60! 10/10 would recommend and would go again.

Dinner is heaven. Salads, pasta, so fresh so delicious. The brunch in eh. I find in general brunch spots to be underwhelming so it wasn’t bad but this place really shines for dinner so def recommend for that!! Service was good at both times I’ve been. Drinks were great. Try the blood orange soda, super refreshing!

Overall, I think this was a 3.5 for me. I came here for a casual birthday dinner and overall, it was good! There were just a few things that I felt could've been improved. For starters, the service we received was rather strange. It seemed like we had 3 different servers helping us, one would come and ask for our order, then another would come 2 minutes later and ask the same thing. This happened several times. It seemed like they were a bit disorganized behind the scenes. Another note on service: we mentioned that we had a birthday in our group, our waiter acknowledged it, but they didn't end up doing anything special to celebrate. Just brought us the check. For food, I ordered the oxtail ragu, which was good, although there was certainly not a lot of meat in the sauce of my pasta, nor enough sauce. We also got the fritto misto to start, which was great. Drinks were ok, the martini tasted a little watered down for some reason. I thought the prices were pretty reasonable. The ambiance inside is a cozy low-lit vibe, just wish the service was more organized. Not a bad choice for a casual dinner!

After visiting the Brooklyn museum we worked up an appetite and stumbled upon Aita Trattoria. We were offered inside or outside seating and opted for indoor due to the sweltering heat. We were seated and provided menus and told the specials. We ordered the watermelon escape to drink which was sooo refreshing with watermelon tequila and lime. I ordered the special fried green tomato with fresh mozzarella. My friend ordered the arancini. We were given fresh rosemary focaccia to start and olive oil to dip which was delicious and fluffy. Our apps came out in a timely manner and were delicious. The fried green tomatoes were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I ordered the cacio e pepe which is served as stuffed raviolis with fresh truffle one top which was a perfect portion and perfectly al dente. My friend had the oxtail ragú with fresh pasta which she enjoyed but it was very hot with steam coming off it which to me means it was fresh to order! We enjoyed the entire meal and were just full enough. Would definitely come back. Its small but cute inside and wasn't too loud as more people came in.

Service was just okay. Carbonara and salmon burger were delicious. FYI if horseradish isn't your thing, you won't like the salmon burger. Cute outdoor seating and typical New York small portions.

Amazing NYE dinner, ambient cozy and lovely. Feel to get into someone's home and kitchen. Food was amazing. Service was great and the drinks were good as well. Can't get tired of this place! Branzino 100% Buttatina 100% Broccolini 100% Caprese 100% Thank you!

Overall rating: 4.4 Good pasta in crown heights, dare I say best. Lower rating than 5 because it's so expensive! I understand crown heights is basically gentrified at this point, but jeesh. Small portions too? I will come back when I'm craving pasta, but since I don't live in the area I would have to really crave it. Service was nice, but I felt a bit rushed because I was solo & inside is a tad too tight for me. That said, if you have the money- definitely worth a try.

Ah, another issue of "visiting places with bucatini on the menu". Well in truth, I came to this place twice, both times after a visit to the Brooklyn botanic Gardens, so this review combines both visits. The first time, we sat outside in the little outdoor shed. Even though it was cold, it didn't feel bad at all due to the shed being well made and because the heat lamps were properly blasting. Still, I'd recommend sitting indoors for a cuter vibe. I got the bucatini and my friends got the fettuccine - both were great. I thought they could have been a bit more al dente so I'd maybe recommend folks to just ask for it extra al dente if they like chewy pasta. The flavors were great though, and they did a good job picking the sauces and ingredients to properly compliment the different pasta shapes. The second time I came we got to sit indoors. Instead of wine this time, we tried some of their speciality cocktails like the blood orange negroni. And this time, I tried their famous lasagna which has like thirteen layers or something. This was an even better experience than my first visit, because their drinks are great and the lasagna is truly out of this world. I typically like chewy, but this lasagna has more of a melting quality, which works to perfection as you can feel all the layers of pasta dissolving in your mouth. Our service was friendly and fast both times. So overall, I give a solid recommendation! Just make sure you try the lasagna, even if you just get one to share amongst a group - it is too good to miss.

Flavorful and Filling. That's how I'd best describe Aita Trattoria. The black ink pasta was exquisite and the lasagna was really enjoyable as well with its layers upon layers of fresh pasta and gooey cheese. The atmosphere is chill and comforting, perfect for the cuisine and service was friendly. I'm looking forward to exploring the menu more as my aunt noted that she hasn't been disappointed by any meal she's had there. This is definitely a restaurant you should try, 100% recommend.

THE PANCAKES WERE SO GOOD. Had the blue berry ricotta pancakes and my partner had the egg, potato, salad pancake combo. The food for the price was amazing, haven't had pancakes that good in a while. Service was really welcoming, our server was super nice. If you like beer the WRETCH was very nice too. Never had it before and loved it.

One the best experiences I've had in a wild. The food was immaculate. There was not a thing I tried that wasn't tasty. I went with their watermelon corn salad with calamari. Its a herbal sweet and salty appetizer that eats like an entree. I decided to have their lasagna and wasn't disappointing. Layers on layers. She's delicate but robust. Beautiful rustic presentation. It has my vote for top 2 lasagnas I've ever had.

My friend and I came here for a last minute brunch on a dreary, rainy day. The interior was cute and homey. I wasn't quite sure if I was in the mood for brunch, so ended up ordering the Reginette Pasta, which consisted of shrimps, braised artichokes, as well as basil pesto. The pasta was ribbon shaped with wavy edges on both sides. This was cooked perfectly al dente. There was actually a decent amount of shrimp in the dish. The shrimp was tender, juicy, and well seasoned. That pesto coated the pasta and shrimp, tasting delightfully nutty, fresh, with tons of basil flavor. The addition of Parmesan cheese worked beautifully with all the ingredients, making for truly mouthwatering bites. I also got to try my friend's Beef Hash, which included potato, artichoke, leek, and poached egg. This was a lovely, savory dish, packed with wonderful flavor. The beef was slightly charred, potatoes nicely crispy, and the veggies cooked to just the right soft texture. Service was solid. The waiter welcomed me to sit, while waiting for my friend. He also allowed us to move away from the door as other guests left, so that we didn't have to feel the cold wind / air from outside. Everything came out in a timely manner. In addition, the prices are pretty reasonable, with all menu items under $20. I would like to return sometime to have The Cure, which seems like the ultimate breakfast: 2 eggs any style, blueberry pancakes, bacon, and finally, served with rosemary home fries & mixed greens.

Before seeing the cherry blossoms at the Brooklyn botanical garden, we needed a bite to eat. I ADORE Franklin Street but, I wanted to try come thing new. Food: 5/5 I typically hate brunch ( aka: expensive breakfast) but, I was really happy with the unique menu and affordable prices. Literally my bill was $36 after two entrees and one drink. Yes please! In addition to their food being amazing. My hash was contained crunchy polenta cubes, white apparatus, and perfectly done shrimp. My partner finished his food barely leaving any for me to taste. I had not choice but the give them a high rating. Service: 5/5 Everyone here was so nice and attentive. I am lactose intolerant and they highlighted everything I could eat. They were constantly refilling our water pitcher with cold water (even if we didn't finish it). I felt very pampered. All in all, I would definitely go back! Their brunch prices were phenomenal and the food was delectable! I would love to go back with a larger group and see what they think.

Lovely italian spot in Crown Heights. The carbonara is wonderful at brunch. For dinner, the octopus, arancini, and cauliflower were all spectacular. The sauce on the cauliflower was unique and complimented the cauliflower very well. The lasagna is also very good and a huge portion - the flavors are great but the center is a bit dry. I would still order this again.

Came here New Year's Day for brunch. The food and service was very good. Can't remember the name of my dish but it's in my pics. Was a mix of shrimp, asparagus, bacon I think and other items. Was very tasty. Only thing I wish was if the portion size was a little bigger. My friend had an eggs Benedict I think and we were both recovering from NYE festivities and I could have had more carbs lol. Considering both were near the same price I wish mine came with a side of potatoes or something. I'd def come again. Great space, service, and environment. If you're in BK go ahead and check it out.

WOW! The pasta here is AMAZING!!! Everyone knows that the first thing you do when you get back to New York after a trip is order Italian food. I had a hankering for some proper pasta, and living in Brooklyn, the options are numerous. I have never visited this spot, despite having lived in the neighborhood, as it opened after I moved, but I have always been curious. I finally decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did! The food is top notch!!! First of all - cacio e pepe ravioli?!?! Two of my favorite things in one dish! This did not disappoint. The only feedback I have is that I'm glad I keep fresh grated parmesan at home, because that along with some fresh ground sea salt and black pepper made it perfect. The food even arrived hot despite all odds. Also, the rice balls are more cheese than rice, but this was a huge bonus for me! And the BREAD! It is soft, warm, and flavored with rosemary - I poured a little EVOO in a dish with fresh ground sea salt and it felt just like I was at a restaurant - an experience I was grateful for, because I wanted a restaurant-like dining experience, but didn't have the energy to get out after a long flight. Overall, I will definitely be returning either virtually or in person.

The Lasagna was AMAZING! 14 layers! Homemade noodles! Melts in your mouth. I also got the Fried artichoke salad that was amazing. I asked them to add some red peppers! Added the perfect kick. The Oxtail Burger cooked Med. was amazing as well! This whole place! Ambiance! Wine! Customer Service. Food! I love it. Visiting from Houston and I'm a Chef. I definitely need to go home and revamp my lasagna recipe.

I have been here a handful of times and tried their brunch for the first time last weekend. They had a solid brunch menu including all your favorites from French toast and pancakes to eggs benedict. The portions were large with a generous amount of crunchy Parmesan potatoes. I would highly recommend the salmon benedict! The holy scramble was a bit underwhelming but served a classic fluffy scrambled egg and sausages with a nice snap. I have also been here for dinner and tried the lasagna and fettuccine with pork ragu. I always try the pork/boar ragus at restaurants for proper comparisons. While Aita's ragu was solid though no wow factor, their lasagna stole the show. The other review did not overhype it, it truly is the best lasagna I have ever had. The layers were endless and the sauce was creamy yet light. The lasagna is a must-order if you come here for dinner!

I got the spaghetti with meatballs delivered The food was bland, with the main flavor being salt. Not specifically bad but it wasn't good The meatballs were kinda rubbery And the pasta was undercooked I can deal with below average meatballs and sauce but undercooked pasta is HEINOUS The included bread was pretty decent though

Very cute spot and I would come here for just the ambiance. The food was nothing special. The lasagna was dry and without much flavor. The spaghetti freschi was also very dry and over powering with breadcrumbs I was really hoping I'd like this place more since it's so cute

Food was really good, I had the pparadelle ai funghi which was really really great. The bread was also incredible. However, my friend wanted something akin to carbonara and the dish the waitress suggested ended up being the complete opposite which was confusing. It was really cozy inside!

Cute and hot in the neighborhood. Out of the train and I cross to the other side not knowing it's right by the train station and walked by this place many of times never thought to take a look. Reasonable price and great selection of menus. I heard they remove the bar countertops and still looks very spacious. Great for date night. Very nice services and fillies you pretty quickly. Went for the happy hours/ dinner but I heard they have breakfast too and there's a big coffee machine where the bar use to be so I assume the breakfast deal is real. Lol

Great brunch menu, especially since they add a delicious pancake to the main eggs & bacon dish. Mango mimosa is awesome, coffee is quite bad. The ambiance is terrific and wait staff very friendly. Knocking off a star because they added an auto 20% tip to my party of 5 for some reason. I always tip more than that, so it was not a profitable decision in this case.

This is one of my favorite spots for a low key date night! The inside reminds me of an "Grandma's House" with photo frames all over the wall and a bookshelf. The octopus appetizer is delicious. It has potatoes and kalamata olives, there is a generous amount of octopus. My boyfriend always gets the lasagna or chicken marsala, both entrees are a pretty large portion. The chicken marsala sauce Is pure deliciousness. I always get the spaghetti carbonara. The serving is a decent size, and it tastes delightful. The sauce to pasta ratio is perfect. If you come for brunch I highly recommend "The Cure" which is two eggs, a blueberry pancake, and bacon. The pancake is pretty large , and you get a little taste of everything.

Aita Trattoria is a warm welcoming cozy spot just off of eastern parkway. I can see myself popping in for an occasional dinner since its so close. I booked a large table for 9 for a birthday dinner and the staff made it super easy. We started will a couple bottles of rose and appetizers. The Louis is really nice and Aita had a a small but well chosen wine list. The brought out some bread before the appetizers came. It would have been nicer if they also brought some oil and if the bread was warm. The appetizers themselves were a bit of a mixed bag. The artichoke salad was too salty and the octopus wasnt to my liking. However the autumn salad was really enjoyable. For entree I had the trout. It was pretty good no complaints and the lasagna (I didnt try it) that my mom tried looked really delicious. We didnt try the desserts besides the birthday cheesecake that my sister loved. Some of the food missed the mark overall but the staff and service really made the visit pleasant

Tried this place after a day in the Brooklyn museum. We ordered the lasagna, carbonara, and bucatini-- along with the burrata for appetizer. All were fabulous, and I was partial to the bucatini. I could tell the pasta was fresh, and I appreciated the simplicity of each dish. As for ambiance and service, I'd describe it as cozy and friendly. I also appreciate a double door so the restaurant doesn't get cold, which they had. Overall a lovely meal with lovely people!

Aita takes their food very seriously. Like you'll go there expecting a meal, and then realize that you just got schooled on food science in the best way. I got an oxtail burger, which doesn't even sound like a real thing lol... This burger rivals the one at Peter Luger and Minetta Tavern in a surprising way. Every element was spot on, and made me close my eyes in order to better savor each delicious bite. The burger itself was just luscious, perfectly savory and everything carefully cooked at the perfect temperature. As we were finishing, a stranger at a nearby table got the same meal and kept turning around trying to make eye contact. I knew why. OH, I KNEW WHY! I asked how he enjoyed it and he emotionally burst open, just so excited to talk about the magic of the meal that he looked like he almost couldn't stand it.... We then marveled excitedly about how the fries could be so crunchy outside and so soft inside. We started guessing at their cooking techniques, & shared ideas. We both were appreciative of being able to eat such a masterpiece that we had a momentary connection with each other and couldn't stop talking. THIS IS NOT NORMAL, BECAUSE THE FOOD HERE IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN NORMAL! Like we're in Brooklyn, not a place where strangers typically try to engage with others about how transformative a meal is. My friend got the chicken, which sounds basic but then OH MY GOD HOW is it so delectable and savory, again with perfect heat that made it some of the most tender chicken I've ever had. Lasagna: I got this on another visit and it's good, but I admit that I prefer mine to be more Americanized. This is my toxic trait lol COVID: There's outdoor seating that's basically indoors, but some friendly people nearby said it was okay to keep the window and door open. We appreciated it, along with the heaters. But if you're extra extra careful you should do takeout and then eat it immediately so it doesn't steam. Or wait until the Spring, but whatever you do RUN, DON'T WALK HERE!

Had a reservation to celebrate our 1st yr anniversary. From the minute we stepped in to the minute we left, we were well taken care of by the incredible staff. We were welcomed, and it felt like home. They even wished us a happy anniversary and had a sweet surprise for us. The food was sublime. The calamari, boognase, spaghetti with clams, and cheesecake. It was truly a perfect dinner from start to finish; we're so glad we came here for dinner. It was truly a memorable evening, and we look forward to returning to our new favorite gem.

Really good burger, reasonably priced. Never too busy but service is just OK. They're not super attentive but are nice enough. Have only tried brunch here but I hear the pastas are good for lunch/dinner.

THE LASAGNA IS INSANE! Wow! I got the lasagna on a whim, despite not being really a fan of most lasagna. I'm so glad I got it because now I'm addicted. Wow wow wow! It's hard to put into words how good it is. It has so many layers. It has incredible sauce and meat. The top of it has like this crusty cheese crumble situation that just blows your mind. Get the lasagna. You won't regret it.

Lovely little gem near Brooklyn Museum and Botanic Garden. Menu has 1 or 2 dishes featuring oxtail, delicious but so rarely seen. Many pasta choices Relaxed, friendly service.

Of particular note, the branzino with zucchini pancake, octopus and potato appetizer, mushroom and arugula salad, gnocchi with scallops, tiramisu.

I've been wanting to try Aita Trattoria for months and I wasn't disappointed. Elegant, cozy interior that's the perfect place for a date or a meal with close friends or family. The homemade pasta is outstanding: we tried nearly every pasta dish on the menu, and every one of them was delicious. Our favorite dishes were the butternut squash ravioli and the lamb (I don't love lamb, but I loved this dish). Our server was fun and accommodating and helped make our meal a memorable one. We'll be back!

The LASAGNA. I just found my favorite place for lasagna during quarantine and have ordered it twice the last two Friday nights! It was a throwback for my boyfriend as he hadn't eaten it since living in Crown Heights years ago, but he remembers it being just as delicious this time around. I also tried their fried cauliflower which came with this delicious spicy aioli that I used on rice for another meal as I had some leftover. I ordered via Caviar and it delivered so quickly. The LASAGNA.

I've never posted before but this order needs this. I'm a homemade pasta conosiour so if you're going to serve a small portion each bite better blow my mind. Pasta was dry and undercooked. Sauce was more like pasta water. This was delivery. NEVER AGAIN!

Came here on a Saturday night for dinner and tried their oxtail burger ($18) and lasagna ($19). I was excited to try their lasagna since so many reviews raved about it. I usually don't get lasagna at a restaurant as I feel like it's something I would more often make/eat at home. First off, I was surprised at how big the lasagna was when it arrived at our table. It had so many layers on top of each other! The bolognese sauce was dense, meaty, and flavorful. Each layer of the lasagna was also cooked perfectly. However, I wished it was more cheesy as I personally like lasagna that's loaded with cheese (or I'm just used to such type of "typical" lasagna). But overall, it was still very solid and delicious. The oxtail burger was also yummy, but I wished the patty was more juicy. It was a good, standard burger that you would get at a sit-down restaurant like this. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cozy and romantic, which would be a perfect place for a date night. They also take reservation on Yelp, so make sure to take advantage of it and plan ahead of time to avoid waiting!

Wow. Just wow. We came for brunch and I really can't tell you which part was my favorite. I had the frittata and the French toast and both were incredible. The frittata came with a perfect balance of veggies stuffed into perfectly cooked eggs. It really made me want to figure out how to make it at home so I could have it more often. The French toast was so good, soft and not overly sweet, which made a perfect complement to the savory frittata. My friend had a side of the home fries and I don't know that I'll find better home fries for a while. I will definitely be back at least once this summer so I can keep trying their brunch menu.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday. No wait which was nice. Waiter was very friendly. The atmoshphere in here is very cute, tables on the left quite close together but I guess you find that anywhere in the city. We both got the salmon benidict which was very good. But also very salty. I was thirsty all day and night no matter how much water I drank. Very good quality food though and I want to come back and try dinner.

Aita Trattoria is a hidden gem. With its lovely interior and adorable exterior, it's one of the cutest Italian restaurants in nyc! The biggest and best item on the menu is the lasagna. They provide a generous portion and it's crispy and flavorful and just delicious! The tiramisu is also so decadent, and again- what a slice! So generous. The other dishes (cacio e pepe) was flavorful and tasty as well but the portions weren't as big as the lasagna and tiramisu. We ordered wine and it was SO good! This place is great for groups, as they have the long wooden tables that can accommodate groups of 5-7ish. Just call or use Resy a couple days in advance! And of course, our waiter was SO nice- thank you for the recs and just being so nice and accommodating with my big group!! :)

Ove this place. Ambiance was nice. Service was great. Octopus was delicious. The oxtail parpadelle was good. Simple. Filling. Thierry lamb shank will always be my favorite. Wasn't impressed with the calamari.

Sunday evening. We had no reservation but but they seated us outside under heated lamps so it was comfortable. The blood orange cocktail was strong but still good, probably would get wine instead next time. Pasta was super delicious and made me very full even with the average portion size. Service was quick and attentive as well as friendly. Totally recommend!

Cute and adorable Italian restaurant in Crown Heights/Prospect Heights border. I like their seating options inside. They have 2 large tables, great for a larger family and for sharing. We came for brunch and they had the typical egg and breakfast options while also having a pasta menu. They have a brunch option that is both sweet and savory, with eggs and a pancake. I loved that! Usually places don't have both sweet and savory in one entree. If that weren't enough, they also have an option to do one pancake or french toast as an inexpensive side which was great! I had the lasagna and it was good, reminded me of home cooking. I tried the ginger lemonade and it mostly tasted of lemonade. Service was great!

My friend and I sat down. The waitress brought us bread. I bit into a slice and there was a long strand of hair baked into the bread--like I couldn't even pull it out. We told another waiter and ended up leaving. When your staff is cooking it's really important that they wear hair nets--that was gross.

Everything is delicious every time you go. Perfectly cooked pasta. Inventive hash plates that are incredibly wonderful and created with balance. The cocktails are absolutely what the doctor orders for a boozy brunch.

First time here and I plan on going a bunch of times more! The lasagna had about 13 layers or so( yes I counted) and was soft and delicious throughout every single bite. It's as though the restaurant made the lasagna exactly how I liked it. The Cacio & pepe ravioli with truffle was AMAZING. I would like to say I'm a truffle & cacio e pepe connoisseur and they delivered. The Italian rice balls also super soft on the inside (not gushy) and great. Inside decor was aesthetically pleasing, pretty dark, mirrors all over but felt soothing. The only thing I did not like were the drinks, I feel like aperol is an acquired taste that I've yet to acquire. Service was pretty good they had 1 server who was also bartending and I felt bad she was running around like that but she was pretty nice. Overall, come to aita trattoria for some amazing Italian food!

Everything about this meal was a mess. I ordered rigatoni bolognese and the sauce was so bland that it made me sad. The pasta was al dente, but the ragout left a lot to be desired. Also, it made me quite sick, so I must've gotten a bad batch. Next was my carrot cake. Besides the fact that it lacked that "carrot cake spice," it also had some kind of berry drizzle that overpowered the flavor entirely. I also ordered tiramisu to eat later. I chomped my way through extra large chocolate chips and gave up a quarter of the way through. It was jarring! This was a thoroughly unenjoyable meal, unfortunately.

Really enjoyed the food here - the cacio e pepe ravioli was excellent and the bucatini amatriciana was nice and smoky (though a tad oily). Panzanella salad was awesome, and tiramisu was a huuuuge portion. The waitress was nice, but could not answer any questions about the menu. But the space is beautiful, and it's just a lovely date night spot - would go again.

Brunch: you only need to know 4 words. Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict. Oh wait 5 words. Add, Please. Hehe No but really. This is the only dish I have ever had here and I have been here four times. It's THAT good. You would think this is a simple dish as the salmon doesn't need cooking and who can mess up eggs. But the execution is perfect here. Makes all the difference. This is my fav version in all NYC. ALSO the potatoes are so well crisped. They accompany the dish and are seasoned just right. The salad is lightly dressed as not to wilt the greens. If there is one brunch item you wanna try this is it! Also I gotta try the lasagna here. Shall have to work up my evening energy to try it :)

I stopped by for Saturday lunch with a friend. Its a very cute neighborhood spot. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara and my friend ordered the reginette. The food was fresh and delicious. I dont have any complaints. I would come back again for dinner
