"In sightline of the Colosseum, Al vino Al vino is an unassuming neighborhood spot that’s perfect for a pre-dinner glass of wine. The front room is where the charm is, with shelves of wine bottles and ceramic tables painted with grapes and vines. Check out the by-the-glass menu that changes weekly, or settle in with a bottle from their extensive selection that has wines from the Alto Adige to Sardegna. Snack on a bowl of crunchy taralli crackers from Puglia or make a light dinner with their famous caponata, a sweet and sour eggplant stew that comes with very good bread for scooping and a mixed plate of cured meat and cheese." - Gillian Mcguire, Team Infatuation

"This just might be the most local wine bar in Rome—this small, no-fuss room lined with more bottles of wine than you can count and a handful of tables beautifully decorated with wine stains and crowded with buzzing Romans challenged only by the loud, clanging kitchen. The staff know their wines and won't keep you waiting long for refills. If that's not enough, make sure you sample the eggplant caponata—it's dependably stellar." - Maresa Manara

Google
New favorite in Rome. Highest recommendations. Great selection of wine, great food, amazing service and just a hidden gem. Can’t wait to come back!

We had a few glasses of wine and a platter of mixed chleeses and ham. Not a huge selection of wines by the glass, to be honest. The service staff, while friendly, didn't have a good knowledge of the wines they serve.

Google
Cute wine bar with a great selection of Italian wines and very much frequented by locals. Bar staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Even talked me into trying a cheaper local wine from the one I was eyeing off (and it was delightful). The view down the street to the colosseum doesn't hurt. Will go back next time I am in town.

Google
A nice and cozy wine bar with a lovely back yard and amazingly lovely staff. Their wine selection is insanely good and you get very high quality bites for a decent price. An authentic experience away from all the tourist traps. Highly recommend dinning in their back yard in summer.

Great wine selection and good cheese and salami platters.

Google
Fantastic wine that paired with a meat and cheese tray. Also the bread that comes with it was the best I had in Rome. Very friendly staff.

Went with a group 5 people around 7pm and it was fairly quiet. We saw this place and it looked beautiful from the photos! The worker there said he doesn’t have space for 5 people at a table. He has some problem solving skills not thinking we could put two small tables together. Sad because we were really looking forward to coming here for a great glass of wine. Groups bigger than 4 avoid, cause you won’t get a table.

This place is simply great: no need to be fancy when you have a nice service and an amazing wines selection with reasonable prices! Highly recommended.

Yelp
Very cute wine bar! Delicious antipasti and cheeses. Even a surprisingly good whiskey selection. We really enjoyed it!

Yelp
Amazing wine list and staff. Food was good , but not outstanding. Vibe was also above average.

Yelp
Friendly atmosphere, great choice of vines to be tasted with Italian delicatessen. I recommend above all, local 'capponata', a real specialty.
