"Clean, modern and convivial, Allora is filled with the neighborhood feels, largely thanks to the owners’ passion and dedication. Tastefully decorated in shades of white, wood and deep green, this Cal-Ital kitchen is focused on fresh and sustainable ingredients. Seafood is supremely enticing and consistently woven through their menu of fresh pasta, local fish and Italian wines. The cavatelli, for instance, is made from scratch before being napped in a garlic-and-tomato sauce bobbing with chunks of sausage and summer squash.Come dessert, stick with a straightforward gelato, or just indulge in another glass from Sommelier/co-owner Elizabeth-Rose Mandalou’s large and reasonably priced selection that's displayed through the glass-enclosed cellar." - Michelin Inspector

Allora is simply Perfect! It’s a complete dining experience that begins when you arrive and are greeted by a friendly smiling face. The great service continues throughout the dinner experience, and the food is superb. We had the 4 course meal and the culinary experience is divine. Order what you like and enjoy your experience. It will be one of your best, if not The Best. I will travel to Sacramento just to experience Allora again.

Let me preface this by saying I’ve been to my share of “fine dining” restaurants, Michelin or otherwise; so my review here is using them as baseline. The good: - service was great! Very attentive but not overly so, and friendly but not stifling. - variety of the menu was also great, I really enjoyed having the freedom to choose all 4 of my dishes versus a set menu - certain dishes, like the beef cheek and dessert I had were AMAZING- super well made and tasty. Cons: - some of the dishes are inconsistent depending on when you come, like the lasagne. Mine was burnt when it was torched so it had some bitter notes, whereas other guests in the reviews here have a light toast instead. For the price, I just wish the food was consistent. - was it worth it? In some ways, yes- but I will say that unlike other restaurants like the Kitchen or Localis, your required service charge is not upfront with the set fee but is of your total by the end of dinner. There’s also a separate kitchen fee. This adds up, so expect your bill to be double what you initially thought. For four courses that can sometimes be inconsistent, or just not to your liking, I don’t know if it’s worth it. It depends on how often you have good food in general haha.

My wife and I went to celebrate a promotion at work. The service was impeccable. And wow what a space. I slid my empty glass to the edge of the table and they scooped it up as if they were waiting for it. The cocktails and wine pairings were both excellent, as were the server and sommelier who recommended them. The octopus was the best I’ve ever had. The tajarin was another standout and the lobster fettuccine was nicely done. The chef came to the table at the end of the meal. We had a great first experience at Allora and would love to return.

This is a world-class restaurant located in an unassuming location adjacent to a quiet East Sacramento neighborhood and a busy shopping block. I was blown away. From the moment we entered and were seated to the arrival of pur waiter, we sensed we were valued patrons. The decor is sleek modern. We had the four course price fixe meal. I had the polpo (octopus) appetizer, and my friend had the beef tartar (crudo). Both superb. Our second course was the lasagna and the papardelle with lobster. Our third course was the scallops and wagyu. Our desserts were the chocolate torte and orange cake (portokalopita). We had the Allora martinis, which were perfectly stirred. They have an impressive wine list. Our server and his helpers had perfect timing: they were always there but never around, if you know what I mean. We were definitely satisfied and full by the end of the meal, but don't go here if your idea of a great restaurant includes enough food for two people on each plate. It's also pricey, so it's definitely a special event or romantic date eatery. This restaurant could compete with the best of NYC, SF, or LA. Just wow.

This was my wife and I’s first fine dining outing in Sacramento after moving here recently and it was a wonderful, delicious experience. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday so decided we would indulge ourselves on whatever supplements we desired; so along with the 4 course menu, we added the caviar, bread course and upgraded to the Wagyu for the meat course. Highlights of meal included the prosciutto amuse bouche, the caviar with an airy onion dip and in house made waffle chips, Ahi crudo, duck confit pasta and the wagyu. The lobster fettuccine was very good but some of the lobster itself was slightly overcooked, but the flavors for a knockout success. The Oyster dish is also very good but could be improved by having the ceramic shell dishes served chilled. Service was wonderful; always attentive but never overbearing. The meal flowed very nicely, never felt like we were waiting around; but also did not feel rushed. Highly recommend; I’m sure we will be back.

My husband and I went here for our close friend's birthday dinner. Our server was excellent, and most of all, the food was amazing. I would definitively come back for a special occasion, and I highly recommend it.

Google
Allora is definitely a most memorable contemporary Italian dining destination in Sacramento! The four course format with a broad spectrum of selections makes for a fabulous dining experience. From the Antipasti to the Pasta, Carne or Pesce, to the Dolce, each is a thing of beauty in both presentation as well as flavor. The tasteful dishes, decor, and service and atmosphere were all perfect. It is obvious that this combination earns Allora their well deserved spot in the Michelin guide.

Google
Incredible Modern Italian dining. It is a four course meal (or five if you opt for the cheese board prior to dessert) that is immaculately prepared and presented. They have menu options that include pescatarian, vegetarian, and vegan, and you can specify that when you make your reservation. Overall, a very enjoyable experience, with staff who also make you feel extra special.

Yelp
A lovely experience start to finish. I truly appreciate when restaurant owners are hands on and contribute just as much as their employees. I was greeted by Miss Elizabeth herself when I came in for my reservation. FYI, They do require a credit card down in order to secure a reservation. The space was a little smaller than I pictures but nonetheless beautiful, simple, and clean. Parking was a little scarce but if you go later at night you can park at the school parking lot and enjoy a little short walk before and after dinner. The service was phenomenal. Everybody was super warm, attentive, and helpful. Specifically Nick my server was fantastic. He was very patient as I was very indecisive. The food was just beautiful, cohesive, and all around delicious. Truly quality food. I loved the first bite I got, it was like a little bread ball with a chipotle tasting aioli with a pieces of Italian ham in it. The octopus with balsamic glaze was also terrific. My favorite dish was the mid course Lobster Fettuccine, which is flown in live and fresh from Maine daily. I did opt for the A5 Wagyu for an additional $65 but didn't really find it worth it. This was the heavier priced dish and was the only one I didn't love. The meat was definitely quality but I asked for medium rare and it was a tad bit undercooked for me and the greens plated with it just wasn't for me at all. I would've loved it with some rice and a delicate sauce. But when picking entrees just stick to the regular popular ones. The dessert was super unique tasting as well. I think the chef does a great job at balancing all the different taste buds. I would definitely recommend to anybody looking for a luxurious date night. I personally went alone. There is an autograt/service charge of 23% but they definitely deserve it.

Yelp
This place operates like (and charges like) a Michelin star restaurant, but the food is not in that ballpark. Service is excellent, but if you are looking for an exceptional dining experience, I would look elsewhere. -My date and I each ordered different courses and both tried each of them. Of the 8 courses (10 counting the amuse bouche and complimentary pre-entree sorbet) only one (the ahi cubes) stood out as being both unique and particularly delicious. -Of the six courses served to my date, she did not even want to finish three of them (she is not a picky eater, and they are all small portions). -The wagyu beef entree was a $65 upcharge! At a nice steak house you can get a perfectly cooked 8-12oz steak for $60-$80; even less at less fancy establishments. The base dinner cost for 4 courses at Allora is $145; or $36.25/ course. So the wagyu course is over $100 for about 4 ounces of steak, (or about $400/pound!) and it was no better than any ordinary cut of prime steak elsewhere. -We asked for recommendations for dessert, and chose the two that the server recommended, and neither of us enjoyed either of them. How can you mess up dessert?!? -There is an included "Kitchen equity" 13% fee added on. I understand the reasoning here and - even though taxes and fees have become absurd - I would be ok with this if the food was all exceptional, but it's not a gratuity, it's a fee added whether you enjoy the food or not. Once you add up sales tax, the 20% included service fee, and the kitchen fee you will be paying about 43% more than the ticket price to eat here, including all alcohol. All in all this was probably the most disappointing meal I can remember eating at a restaurant, especially when the check arrived!

Yelp
Food: Did the 4 course with my friend $150/person. I did the oysters, fettuccini, black cod, and bomboloni. The deconstructed oysters were okay. Would have just preferred "regularly" prepared oysters. My friend had the polpo. This was a superior choice. Hella tender octopus. The fettuccini was great. It's been on the menu forever and for a reason. Perfectly cooked and with good flavor. My friend has the tajarin. Tasty, but a little salty for my taste. The black cod was fine. I had my friend's wagyu and I regretted my choice. Service: It what you expect at a place like this. Great pace to the meal. Friendly and attentive. Sommelier option. In house pastry chef. Just next level. Ambiance: This is an elegant place. One of the nicer, intimate dining experiences here in Sacramento.

Yelp
OMG I love this place. I wasn't able to get a reservation for the weekend and I needed to go for my Wife's Birthday. Well I checked on Thursday and low and behold there were some openings. It wouldn't let me book online for some reason but I called and got the reservation, no problem. We arrived and parked on the street since their parking lot only has 2 spots and one is handicap. The street parking is even closer to the door. Ha. They hostess held the door open for us and seated us right away. Wishing my wife a happy Birthday. We sat at the same table as we did many months before. The waiter recognized us and welcomed us back. He was so nice and very good at his job. such great customer service here. He asked us what we wanted to drink and I asked if he had Remy Martin. He went and got the cognac list to be sure. They only had the 1738 so he recommended a Armagnac. He let me taste it first. How nice. I did get it. It was a 12 year one. Very nice. I forgot to take a picture of that menu. Darn. The place was decorated with Christmas stuff. Ornaments hanging from the ceiling and a big Christmas tree at the front door. The menu had Happy Birthday on it for my wife. So nice. Here you get three categories and one dessert to pick from. So there is always something for everyone, eating wise. I asked about the oysters because I love them. They have the Kumamoto type and the chef's special oysters . He has three oysters that he spruces up and it's a different way of doing oysters. The waiter said I would probably like the plain ones and that's what I went with. They were so good and yummy. Great pick. The wife started with the Hamachi with pears and it was fabulous. Everything was very fresh. Her next course was the butternut squash ravioli which she enjoyed. I thought they were just ok. I got the lasagna and it was really yummy. For the main I had the Chicken Marsala and you could taste the free range so good and fresh mushrooms. The wife got the Black Cod and there was a problem with it. It wasn't cooked all the way. She asked me and I called our waiter over. He took it back and the chef had to make another one. This time he split it in half to make sure it was cooked perfectly. The waiter brought us out the Artisanal Cheese plater for free to hold us over while my wife was waiting for her main. The cheeses were amazing. I like these types of cheeses more than my wife. We were both getting full already but dessert was coming. She got the donuts and I got the torta al chioccolato. I loved it. She had to take most of hers home. They also brought out a key lime tart and small mandaline cookie. both were nice. I will be back. We love the food here and the fabulous service.

Yelp
Allora is the definition of fine dining and has earned its place in the Michelin Guide. Located in a beautiful, residential neighborhood just east of the Fab 40's, Allora offers an upscale dining experience in a modern Italian seafood and wine bar setting. Reservations are required (no walk-ins), with a 48-hour cancellation policy; cancellations within this window will result in a $95 per-person charge. They also have a 15-minute grace period for late arrivals. It's a 2.5-3 hour experience, so I'd recommend leaving the kids at home; children under 8 aren't allowed, and the refined ambiance is best suited for adults. The interior ambiance is stunning and intimate, with beautiful modern decor and a thoughtfully arranged dining area. Their outdoor patio is covered and mostly enclosed, adorned with fresh green plants. Dress code is business casual or dressy to match the restaurant's vibe. Street parking is available in the neighborhood, making it convenient to find a spot close by. Allora offers a four-course prix fixe menu priced at $145 per person, with optional wine pairings for $95. They have a 23% service fee, rightfully so. They emphasize single-thread sourcing and work with local purveyors, crafting dishes with the freshest seasonal ingredients. The menu showcases Italian-inspired flavors with Sacramento's local bounty, including supplements like Italian truffle, wild-foraged mushrooms, and Tsar Nicoulai Golden Reserve caviar. Every dish felt artfully prepared, and the menu, which changes weekly, adds a touch of exclusivity. Menus are single-use and sealed with wax, creating a special keepsake you can take home. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and guided us through each course, explaining flavor profiles and helping us select items we wouldn't usually try, like the squid ink and raw hamachi. It was an immersive experience, with ingredients expertly layered and flavors that balanced beautifully. The "Risky Business" mocktail was a favorite, capturing the taste of a spirit in a completely alcohol-free drink. The attention to detail and commitment to quality make every course a new discovery. Allora combines old-world Italian traditions with a modern flair, focusing on seafood, handmade pastas, and curated wine pairings. It's a place to savor each bite and indulge in the art of dining. This is fine dining at its best, friendly and inviting, with service that makes you feel taken care of. Allora is a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable, high-end dining experience in Sacramento.

Yelp
Holy moly, food gods, thank you for blessing us with Allora! We dined here to celebrate my husband's birthday, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we walked in, we were struck by the elegant décor--inside and out. The green and gold accents were simply stunning. Our server, Danielle, was fantastic, offering helpful suggestions and making sure each dish arrived at just the right time. The service was flawless--attentive to every detail but never intrusive. A true 5-star experience. We kicked off our meal with the caviar supplement, perfectly paired with an Italian sparkling wine--absolutely divine! For appetizers, we couldn't resist the Polpo (balsamic-glazed octopus) and the hamachi crudo, both of which were exquisite. For our pasta course, we chose the agnolotti with a luxurious crab supplement and the fettuccine with lobster and prawns--both dishes were brimming with flavor. As we moved to the third course, the short rib with Dungeness crab and Yukon gold potatoes, alongside the Alaskan halibut with beech mushrooms, took the meal to a whole new level. Dessert was nothing short of heavenly. We indulged in Che Fico--roasted fig with whipped ganache--and the Torta Al Cioccolato, with its vibrant passionfruit curd and fennel pollen. In between courses, we were treated to delightful amuse-bouches and a refreshing sorbet between the second and third courses. To top it all off, they surprised us with a platter of mini desserts and gifted us delicious biscotti to enjoy at home. The restaurant is truly stunning! While the exterior is modest, the interior is absolutely breathtaking. Allora also boasts a lovely outdoor area adorned with lush green plants, offering a serene and relaxing dining atmosphere. We left fully satisfied and already dreaming about our next visit!

Yelp
A fine dining experience! FOOD: The food was beautiful, tasty and fresh. We tried a lot of items we would not normally try. The menu changes weekly. However, they always have the lobster pasta and I would highly recommend that. Perfect balance of flavor. SERVICE: The staff is friendly and took extra time to help me and my friend decide what to pick on the menu. AMBIANCE: Stunning decor! We stat on the outdoor patio which had beautiful greenery. Overall, will I be back? Yes, but not any time soon. It is a nice place for anyone who loves trying new food and fine dining!

Valerie K.

Yelp
This is definitely a special occasion place! You'll easily spend about $400 for a multi course menu but everything is SO GOOD. We went here for my husband's birthday and he really enjoyed everything. The service and ambiance was exceptional as you'd expect. I went here for work a few years back and decided to come back again.

Steph S.

Yelp
What a fantastic menu and list of choices!! The caviar was excellent. The bolognese and wagyu were my faves! Such delicious sauces and tender wagyu!! The server Nick was amazing and my favorite person was the owner and her magnificent sommelier talents. I love the look and feel of the place but could use better music. A fantastic experience

Frances V.

Yelp
Omg can we go back now? We came here for our anniversary and it was just amazing. I'm super indecisive so I couldn't decide until the night of and unfortunately they were not able to customize our menu. Some of my favorite dishes were the fettuccini, a5 Japanese Wagyu and carne cruda. The carne cruda was their version of tartar-the beef was just so fresh and tender and the oil/vinaigrette just tied it all in. The pasta on the fettuccine was cooked perfectly and the portions of lobster and shrimp were abundant. Although we had to pay additional for the Wagyu, it was absolutely worth it. It just melted in your mouth! This was our first "coursed" meal and it was just a wonderful experience! The ambiance is casual, modern and romantic. The servers were super receptive and very hospitable. Not to mention, we were comped so many dishes and champagne! Thank you so much allora!

Darlene N.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our experience. My boyfriend found this place and made a reservation for my birthday. We got sat at the best booth - it was private and intimate. The server was super knowledgeable and accommodating. The food was perfectly cooked in our opinion. Definitely an experience especially for those who love seafood. The drinks we got were also very spirit forward which is great. I think the experience was worth the price

Rachelle M.

Yelp
This is one of my all-time favorite restaurants in Sacramento. It's my go-to for a special occasion. This is typically an anniversary spot for us but we decided to go for Christmas Eve and it was great. The service is always above and beyond. The menu is seasonal and the food is always delicious. The ambiance is excellent for a date night. It has a high-end vibe without feeling pretentious. Just a great experience overall, always.

Charlie D.

Yelp
Have been to Allora twice within the last yearish and we received great service both visits. The ambience is quite peaceful, elevated, and their service is solid all around. The food is so delicious! I dream about their conserva. Some of their dishes are not my favorite, flavor-profile wise, but still they're well made, balanced, fresh. Personally think Allora is underrated in the Sacramento food scene. Their service and food always exceed expectations.

Eduardo D.

Yelp
This is a good place to celebrate a very special occasion. We went here for the first time to celebrate a birthday. The menu sheet was customized with the birthday boy's name which was really thoughtful. The food was delicious! It was a 4 course meal and you chose a plate from each category. The service was also great, the waitress explained the menu to us and answered all our questions. The ambience was quiet and relaxed, perfect for catching up. We took our own bottle of wine and there was a $30 cork fee and a 20% service fee was already included. I feel like here you're mainly paying for the experience, the costumer service was exceptional!

Corey W.

Yelp
Allora has amazing reviews with good reason! Just an all around amazing dining experience here. Starting from the second you walk in the door, they take your coat and hang it up for you. The massive glass wine room that you can see directly through is stunning. They make you feel welcome immediately and the staff could not have been nicer. Our waitress knew exactly what she was talking about and was super helpful when it came to being unsure of some of the fancy ingredients. If you're not aware, it's a four course meal and you get to choose each course from about 5 choices from their menu. For what you get, I think the price is extremely reasonable for the experience and the quality of food you're getting. My wife is gluten free and they're extremely accommodating, basically anything on the menu can be modified. My favorite dish of the night was the polpo that my wife ordered. I got the hamachi and it was delicious as well, but the polpo was the way to go. It was so extremely flavorful and delicious. My second favorite dish was the lasagna. It was outrageously delicious and then my wife ordered the fettuccini that they were able to make gluten free by subbing risotto instead of noodles. It was spectacular and the amount of lobster in it was great, you got a piece with every bite! Our mains, my wife for the black cod which was like slicing and biting into butter. It was so good. And I got the beef cheek which I'd never had before and glad I got. It was so flavorful and very rich in a good way! Also extremely tender. To celebrate, we also had some pappy which is like drinking caramel, you gotta try at least once. It's an all around incredible dining experience and I would highly recommend Allora for a fine dining experience in Sacramento!

Karen C.

Yelp
We had not dined at Allora for a long while - no particular reason except busyness. When we did, we couldn't wait to return a second time within the same month bc it is just so extraordinarily amazing. It is a unique restaurant with amazing food and beverages. The setting is magical. If you haven't been, or if you haven't been for a while, give yourself a present and get to Allora asap. Go hungry!

Jessica D.

Yelp
This was easily one of the best Michelin restaurants I've attended. Coming from the Bay Area food scene, I was pleasantly surprised by such a gem in Sacramento. I was a solo diner sat at the bar right by the kitchen. The head bar staff was incredibly friendly and someone who clearly thought through the drink flavors and pairings. I also had a great interaction with the sommelier who suggested two half wine glasses for my main courses that were perfect. One chef came out multiple times, explaining dishes and spoiling me with truffle on the pasta dish. I started with the soft brioche and caviar service. Caviar came with house made chips and incredible caramelized onion foam. My second course was the hamachi, it was tart, spicy, crunchy, wonderful flavors. Then I was surprised with a broccoli soup and a toast topped with caviar. I then had the tajarin, that had truffles shaved in front of me. Very delicate and delicious handmade pasta with a delectable sauce. My main course was scallops, perfectly cooked and melt in your mouth like butter. I opted for the cheese course which was incredible. I loved the jellies and honey that came with it. I finished with an affogato with a delicious homemade hazelnut gelato. I was then surprised with more gelato topped with 25 year aged cherry balsamic, which was such a treat. This experience was stunning. The flavors are unbeatable. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and they go above and beyond. This is a must go establishment.

Christine T.

Yelp
My husband made a reservation for us here for our anniversary! We were seated immediately upon check in with complimentary champagne and custom menus to celebrate! (I love the attention to detail!) It's a fixed four course menu and each course has a few choices. We started off with their caviar and their home made chips, and I don't know how or what they put in those chips but they are absolutely amazing! Some key loves for me was the fried quail (super crispy and flavorful), their play on lasagna (so much lighter but full of flavor), their duck breast was to die for, and I loved all their desserts. Service was amazing, attentive, and top notch! Would definitely come back during a different season to try a new menu! Highly recommend!!!

Paige J.

Yelp
Wow, what a top notch place. We came here for an anniversary and they really made us feel special with the custom menus with our names on them! The have a delightful tasting menu that allows you to really explore the chef's vision. I think this changes often so it's not worth deep diving on the courses we had (Summer menu). Cocktails are unique and flavorful. We also enjoyed welcome champagne. Ambiance is top notch, comfortable and intimate seating. Good for groups or dates. Staff was professional and attentive. Everything you'd expect at a fine dining spot. You pay for what you get, and what you get is a wonderful, delicious experience.

Yelp
What a fantastic experience. We were greeted at the door by the sommelier and the host. We were taken to our table by the host and then almost immediately we had a server taking care of us. The service was amazing, well orchestrated to make sure the dinners were taken care at all time. The cocktails were elevated, some of the best I have had in Sac. We had the four course meal. All plates were amazing. All of them were flavorful, complex, plentiful, and visually appealing. We did the wine pairing, which was spot on. This was certainly an experience for all the senses. Dessert was amazing and the doughnuts were super soft and well balanced. The decor of the place is elegant. The patio area is super nice. I was scared about temperature but they have taken care of that so nice that it did not distract from the whole experience. Prices are high, but I think well justified given the experience. Also, we were there for a birthday celebration and they made the experience unique. Overall, a great restaurant with amazing food and excellent service.

Yelp
For our third wedding anniversary dinner, my husband and I made reservations and decided to finally come try Allora. The entire experience was magical from start to finish. We have done fine dining experiences before but everything about our experience here was phenomenal. The staff were extremely kind, engaging, and attentive. They went out of their way to ensure that we had a memorable experience. From the personalized menus to the wonderful ambience, it is a meal I will never forget. Both my husband and I opted for the five course meal option. We each ordered a different item for each course so that we could share and try a little bit of everything. We also enjoyed their tasty cocktails, and the complementary Prosecco for our celebration. We did add on the additional truffle service with one of our courses to enhance the experience. The amuse bouche and the palette cleansers were also phenomenal and very much appreciated. Since the kitchen was a little backed up, and it took longer than typical for our antipasti courses, we also appreciated the free wine pairing as compensation. And finally - the desert! They were in the process of trialing a new dessert item for the menu, and since it was our anniversary, they brought us an additional dessert to give our thoughts and feedback on. Who is going to say no to more dessert?! This is definitely a special celebratory place, and I cannot wait for the occasion to return.

Vivian P.

Yelp
Amazing food! I came here for a special dinner, and it truly was a culinary experience. The restaurant itself is small but very clean and upscale. We were seated on the patio, which I preferred because it was very green! We each got a five course meal, some of which are pictured. Overall, the dining experience was great. The portions were slightly small, but by the end of the meal, we were full. The courses were well-paced and the flavors were very complex. It definitely is pricey, but you are paying for the experience, the quality of the ingredients, complexity of dishes, and ambiance. The service is great - as is expected in an upscale restaurant. I think this place should definitely be on the list for special occasions!

Paul F.

Yelp
Food was incredible. This place is a culinary gem in smf. I still have dreams of the beautiful pasta dish that was like a carbonara with truffle shavings- incredible. I chose branzino for main course and it did not disappoint. Dessert was in line with what you would expect at a fine dining establishment. Wine pairings were intriguing and entirely Italian, including a few "I've never heard of that" selections. Service was on point and appropriate considering this is one of maybe 2 or 3 high end options in town. The aesthetic is non cluttered and clean, providing an ambiance the fit our business dinner. It would be great for a dinner with friends also, but it didn't seem to be a raucous place.

Fedor S.

Yelp
A good place with a perfect mix of European and American culture. They provide delicious food and a good selection. Excellent service, clearly showing they care for their customers.

Stevie W.

Yelp
I've tried all 3 Michelin rated Sacramento restaurants now- and I have to say... if you're a true foodie- COME TO THIS ONE. The food and service is just a hair above the tried and true restaurants who've been given a star in the past. Allora had the service, chill vibe- but the food was just a cut above the rest. A true gem.

Niknak K.

Yelp
10/10 experience. My boyfriend surprised me for our anniversary. Upon entering, the entire staff welcomed us in. My boyfriend mentioned our reservation, and the hostess congratulated us and offered us complimentary Prosecco. What a nice way to start the evening. Everything we ate was tremendously delicious, and even that was an understatement. Each dish was a symphony of well-balanced flavors and textures. They transformed the idea of lasagne into something spectacular and so decedent. The glutton in me secretly wanted four servings of it. This restaurant was a great surprise and had become our new favorite restaurant of all time. I look forward to hopefully returning and experiencing it all over again! Thank you to the staff members for making our anniversary feel so special. In addition, thank you to all the chefs who poured all their passion into such beautiful dishes. Food is a something my boyfriend and I bond over, and this was truly an unforgettable experience.

Yelp
I've heard a lot of great things about this place. What better opportunity to go to celebrate my husband's birthday! They had several courses to choose from. We made reservations and sat right next to the kitchen. I feel it was the best seat in the house because we got to see the hustle and bustle of it all. I enjoy cooking and I really appreciate the art of plating and flavor layering with textures so this was more of a treat for me lol, jk but we do really love food like that. The service was amazing and the food was top tier. I like how they provided palate cleaner dishes in between - never knew how much of a difference that would make. Definitely an experience!

Yelp
Wowzeers! This was an epic dinner that left a lovely memory for us of Sacramento. Allora is a gem of a restaurant with wonderful details to everything! We showed up early so we sat at the bar and waited for our table. The menu is prefixed only so come hungry! Everything was soo delightful and you could see the quality and care and thoughtfulness. Our server was outstanding and the ambiance was just the right mood. Easy going not too fancy. I would highly recommend asking about the dishes before selecting as some come pretty heavy on palate or light and airy. So depending on your mood and tastebud you could be preferring your partner's plate more than yours at times. Thank you for such a memorable evening.

Yelp
I don't even know where to start with this review. This was such an amazing experience for our anniversary. Starting from the menu with our names on it to a complimentary glass of sparkling wine, extra small bites, and the service everything was excellent. Our waiter was super knowledgeable and friendly super attentive we never had to ask for anything .They were very thorough with explaining menus and how you pick an item out of every course explaining any questions we had about any of the food, which was all amazing, they even set us right by the kitchen. I am a huge foodie. I loved watching the kitchen that was a nice surprise. Yeah let's get to the important part the food oysters and Pulpo amazing as well as the duck liver going to the next course we did order the bread it was really buttery and yummy soft The lobster fettuccine was amazing. The risotto was a little on the salty side, but still really tasty the wagu melted like butter in your mouth scallops a little more on the sweet side cooked to perfection. The fig dessert absolutely stunning as well so I've bombolini they even gave us extra treats at the end. If you want an amazing dining experience with your partner I highly suggest you go here. I can't wait to go back again !

Yelp
4 course Thanksgiving lasagna take out meal Ordered this awesome Thanksgiving meal which includes: Antipasti Charcuterie- AMAZING and tasty. It includes sturgeon, salami and different cheeses with different flavors. Beet + Citrus Salad- FRESH! It came with burrata and vinaigrette dressing that complimented the salad. Lasagna bolognese and vegetarian- Both delicious and the portions were way generous. Lasagna was filled with layers and layers of goodness. Italian Bread Pudding- Sooooo good. It came with gelato and chocolate sauce. Allora did not disappoint my guests. There were leftovers for them to take home as all the portions were generous. Curbside pick up was well organized and well executed. Cars were lined up and were given hot apple cider drink while they loaded our car. No need to get out of your car. So impressed on how the process was seamless which reflects their meticulous planning! WELL DONE ALLORA! We will definitely be back for next Thanksgiving takeout. Thank you for making our meal stress-free. I highly recommend this.

Yelp
First time trying a Michelin star restaurant in Sacramento! The place was very intimate, and I loved the decor. We sat outside on the patio, lights dimmed, and beautiful greenery to look at. On to the food, they let us keep the menu but I lost it so I will let the photos speak for itself. Over all 5 stars.

Yelp
Allora really is one of the best restaurants in Sacramento. From food to service, it really is amazing. The waygu is one of the best pieces of steak I've ever had. The polpo and the Parmesan risotto are amazing and a signature always on their menu. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Really excellent food and service for this upscale contemporary Italian restaurant. You will not be finding spaghetti here. I believe the pasta is handmade and the quality is excellent. This is the place for your anniversary, your birthday, your celebration. They also personalize the menus if you tell them you're celebrating something. The servers are incredibly attentive and friendly. Their beverage program is great - super unique cocktails, great wine and beer list. My favorite dish that I always come back to is the pulpo (octopus), it is so good and usually served on a bed of potato "gnocchi". They are little potato pillows that are lightly fried, soo good. Their short rib entree is also usually a winner for me. While the menu is somewhat pre fixe, you are allowed to mix and match between the four dishes - for example, skip dessert and pick a cheese plate or crudo (raw) plate instead.

Yelp
Service was exceptional!! Definitely felt tended to and like I was a VIP. Ambiance was wonderful. Quiet, romantic, ample room (not close to other tables). THE FOOD! Everything was sooo good! Will try to add more details later.

Yelp
They offer a great menu with delicious cocktails. We had an amazing time dining here and enjoyed every bite. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the service was top-notch. Definitely a place we'll return to!

Yelp
10/10 experience at Allora. I've eaten at probably 8 restaurants with multiple courses (versus just ordering off the menu) all over the world and this is probably my number 1 or 2 favorite. Please remember the menu changes regularly, so what I loved may not be available when you go. Let's start with the service and attention to detail. Personalized menus with our names. My husband's whisky cube was stamped with their logo. The whole staff was attentive without being smothering. Personable without being over the top. Knowledgeable without being prententious. JP our main server. Just had a really jovial energy about him. Knew the menu wonderfully (while it's 4 courses there are several options within each course for you to choose from). Taryn was my sommelier and I loved her knowledge, thoughtfulness and awareness. I loved every wine that paired and every menu item JP recommended. For the food. I am a foodie. I will take smaller portions to have the experience. My meat and potatoes husband, not so much. He doesn't like leaving a fancy dinner not filled to the brim. This was a perfect blend of both. Portions weren't small, but also not huge. The flavor. Every single dish was out of this world. Oysters were so fresh. Tartar was excellent. Fettuccine was probably my favorite. My duck was cooked perfectly and husband loved his fish. For dessert I got a Parmesan gelato (weird right?!) that was totally out of my comfort zone (but when in Rome!) and loved it. There were fun little surprises they threw at us all night too. Almost three hour meal flew by. Price, for what we received and what I've paid for course dinners elsewhere, was a great value. Money well spent in my opinion. Will refer all my friends here.

Yelp
What an experience! We came here for our anniversary tonight and it was our first time. What a phenomenal experience we had! We sat at the bar because we were early and the friendliest most knowledgeable bartender made me the best French 75 I've ever had and I have had a few.. when we sat at our table, everything was impeccable! The staff, the attentiveness, the knowledge, the recommendations and the food!!!! The food was just as amazing as the service and it just kept coming. Yes it is pricey but worth every penny! The chef came out to greet everyone which is just the icing on the cake! We will be back!

Yelp
Incredible & memorable. Went with friends from out of town for my birthday... 10/10 fine dining experience.

Yelp
Pretty good, Date night cocktails, pre-fixe and pairing came out to about $750. The Mrs. Loved it, would definitely revisit.

Yelp
5* all around! Every dish was perfect right down to the presentation. Hospitality was beyond expectation as the entire staff, and even Chef Lee, gave us very personal and friendly attention throughout the evening. And the setting was warm and comfortable as soothing music allowed good conversation. Excellent wine list too. Allora goes on our let's-go-again list! (Pricey, but worth it.)

Yelp
I didn't have any expectations before coming here but loved my experience. The staff was warm and welcoming and made the experience. The food had unique twists and flavors. I usually order hamachi, but admittedly, this was my least favorite of the courses. I would try something else next time. I substituted risotto on the fettuccine dish, and I absolutely loved it. The scallops with the fried mortadella on top was so unique and flavorful. And the semifredo was beautiful and delicate. The wine was paired very nicely with each course. I enjoyed tasting each wine before the course arrived and then with the course. It's always neat to see how the wine flavor changes with the food. It's a beautiful restaurant with great food and service.

Yelp
Came here for a belated Valentine's Day celebration. Service was top notch from the time we walked in! Hostess was friendly and attentive. Our table was a little behind in turning over from the previous guests, so we were invited to sit at the bar and order a cocktail while we waited. Bartenders were very friendly and engaging. We got to sit at the "chef's counter" table...it's not the traditional chef's counter you would expect so I do feel like they should use a different name, but it was fun having a view into the kitchen. Cocktails were amazing...we normally would have gone with a bottle of wine but it just wasn't striking us that night so we stuck with cocktails... the sommelier was very friendly and informative though! Our food was excellent from the beginning! We did order an extra course, some oysters to share, which kind of threw off how our courses were brought out to us at first but it was quickly corrected. My favorites of the night were the lasagna and duck. I could have eaten 4 servings of both it was so good!! That being said, Each course was a reasonable size. We left feeling satisfied; not still hungry but not so stuffed we were uncomfortable. This was our first time dining here post-pandemic and we would definitely go back for a special occasion. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly and made us feel special and taken care of, which was fantastic

Yelp
I went here for my anniversary. This is a great place. They were so attentive, and our menus had our names on them The food was amazing, from the oysters to the pasta and dessert! They also make amazing N/A drinks to go with your meal. I think this is a great way to introduce your friends or family to meals with courses; if they are not sure about this idea of you want five courses, and they want two or three, you can do that, which I think is great.

Yelp
Highly recommend! Went here for my boyfriend and my anniversary. We really enjoyed the dinner - all courses were amazing and staff were so attentive and nice. They made our celebration special and personalized. The outside patio was cozy and cute.

Yelp
Such an overdue review. I'm here at least on a monthly basis, often more frequent haha. I love the staff here, everyone knows me by name and all my preferences. They keep notes on everything (but not in a creepy way) more like hey that handsome stud is really trying to know me way Service is always impeccable. Food is always delicious. Drinks are top notch. I'm just wondering when they'll get their start!! Mix and match as much as you want, with a 3 course minimum. So lots of options. My go to's: Drinks: there are so many good drinks. A few of my favorites are the clarified New York sour, old fashioned, gin and tonic, and the boulevardier. Food: Caviar service: loving the new twist with the potato chips Polpo: super tender octopus with the fluffiest gnocchi Spaghetti: with an ooey gooey egg yolk, I opt to add caviar to give it a more savory umami flavor, perfectly balanced by the creamy egg yolk Fettuccini: seafood heaven with lobster and shrimp. The pancetta gives it the extra savory umami flavor, with a slight tang from the tomato sauce. Tajarin: the duck version is so delicious! They had a lasagne version for takeout for thanksgiving, and we've done that a few times too. Bucatini: the crab and trout roe version uh! Creamy, savory, umami with the right slightly al dente texture of the bucatini is a perfect blend. I skip the entree often and end up doing a pasta or two as my main course lololol. But my favorites are the scallops, duck, and wagyu. Sometimes they offer a butter poached lobster tail to add on, and I love it. Or the wagyu bite, which is wagyu tartare topped on crispy potato pave. I'm lactose intolerant but shoot, I'm willing to take all the lactaid I need to eat here. Carb heaven!! For desserts (often skipped since I'm just too full), I usually do the budino, bomboloni, or spumoni; all of which are fantastic! Perfect for any occasion. Will be back here again shortly.

Yelp
Embarrassingly, I had never heard of Allora until my mom treated me here for my birthday. It was an incredible meal!! The service is impeccable and the food is out of this world. Every dish was outstanding as well as the drinks. They made me feel special with a personalized menu. This is a place to take someone for a meal and experience to remember.

Yelp
I LOVE this place! We usually go during the holidays but I requested it for my July birthday dinner this year. Food is amazing - works of art. Service is impeccable. Not cheap but the experience is WELL worth it. This is, by far, my favorite restaurant!!!

Yelp
This is my second review because this place is just that good!! I've now eaten here three times, and look forward to many more visits in the future. From the warmest welcome to the knowledgeable, attentive staff, and the 5-star food, Allora is the definition of fine dining. The atmosphere feels luxurious. Each dish is crafted to perfection. Wine pairings are expertly recommended. I will always choose Allora for a special meal experience.
