The Best Restaurants In Dumbo and Brooklyn Heights - New York - The Infatuation

"Whichever restaurant you go to in the area, save room for a stop at Amai Bā. They make their ice cream on site, with a smooth texture and interesting rotating flavors, like Monkey Business (banana and chocolate swirl with crushed macadamia nuts), and Matcha Chip. Even their vanilla is better than most versions, with a creaminess that plays particularly well with espresso in the form of an affogato. Amai Bā also serves locally-roasted coffee, which might just be the excuse you need to have some ice cream before noon. " - Willa Moore, Bryan Kim, Carina Finn Koeppicus, Hannah Albertine

Amai Bā - Review - Brooklyn Heights - New York - The Infatuation

"Whenever you're in Brooklyn Heights, you should plan to stop at Amai Bā. They make their ice cream on site, with flawless texture and flavors that pack some serious punch. We haven’t been able to stop thinking about the Monkey Business (banana and chocolate swirl with crushed macadamia nuts) and Matcha Chip flavors since the first time we had them. Even the vanilla is better than most vanilla ice creams, with impressive depth of flavor and a creaminess that plays particularly well with espresso in the form of an affogato. Amai Bā also serves locally-roasted coffee, which might just be the excuse you need to have some ice cream before noon." - Carina Finn

The toasted caramel latte hits the spot, every sip tastes like heaven. I appreciate how spacious the cafe is and their taste in music. It’s not too loud, so I was able to take a call comfortably. The customer service was exactly what I was hoping for, friendly and matched my energy.

Service was dry. Atmosphere was dry. Ice cream wasn't dry but it wasn't anything special either. I've had better from Ben and Jerry's at a fraction of the cost ($15.13 for two, one scoop orders).

It was a bit warm and humid inside and there were only three tables, but it's a great place to get coffee or ice cream and work for a while.

Went there today and got the 2 scoop of rosetachio and oreo delight for about $10. I wished I could see the ice cream first (they store the ice cream in the back) because it was very obvious that they rely on color dye to color and flavor their ice cream. The rosetachio was a swirl of unnatural light neon green and bright pink color - YUCK. The rosetachio flavor was also very light, so it didn't really have much taste or fragrance. On the other hand, the oreo delight was also extremely basic and won't outshine any other oreo-flavor supermarket ice cream. Definitely not worth the money for its very basic flavor and unnaturally colored ice cream. If you want asian flavor, check out Chinatown ice cream factory who also uses food dye but at least they have great flavor. Van Lee van and Venchi also have great ice cream. Unfortunately, this is *not* it.

Wish that the flavor would be a little stronger and distinct. I got the rosetachio and gulab jamun on a cone. Later on I felt like I got the same thing, which made me regret not getting the ube. The shop is very spacious

Google
what they lack in decor, they make up in flavor. enjoyed the ice cream scoops of gulab jamun and ube which were rich in flavors. tried the coffee and oreo cookies which were good but not better than what we ended up getting

I went to go check out this cute ice cream shop in the Brooklyn Heights area and got a small cappuccino with oat milk and it was quite delicious. Service was super friendly and helpful. The employees were super knowledgeable about the ice cream and flavors . Their ice cream is also homemade and so their flavors rotate pretty often depending on the season. They also have in door seating now! Their ube flavor is amazing. I will definitely be coming back to try more flavors in the future!
