The 26 Best Restaurants In Mumbai - Mumbai - The Infatuation

"Every time we walk through Fort’s narrow lanes—past the engineering works, tool shops, and Xerox centers—and enter Americano, we feel a fizzy anticipation, like going to meet a crush who kinda already knows we’re crushing on them. We can’t put our finger on exactly why this Italian restaurant ensures we always leave happy, but we have theories. For starters, the glowing bar belts out the city’s most creative cocktails, like the Worli Bird with tequila, passion fruit, and hellfire tincture, the custom gold-tiled oven turns out perfect Neapolitan-style pizzas, and everyone and everything looks gorgeous at weekend brunch under the slanting light from the high windows. Order the salads and share plates like the aromatic truff puffs, shaved brussels sprouts, and delicate sea bass crudo as soon as you sit down. We should mention that their luxurious (and, yes, monogrammed) tiramisu is easily the best in town." - roshni bajaj sanghvi

The 38 Best Restaurants in Mumbai, India | Eater

"Chef Alex Sanchez is no stranger to the restaurant scene in Mumbai. His run at the Table influenced how several peers would view dining in the city. His second restaurant, Americano, which he opened with partner Mallyeka Watsa, is often interpreted as an Italian restaurant, despite having influences from all over. Every small plate is chic, highlighting its ingredients. Try the sweetcorn ribs, duck ravioli, and shaved Brussels sprouts. Americano’s bar program would warrant a visit even without the food. Sample the Amaize Balls cocktail with tequila, peach jam, and salted corn, which lives up to its name." - Sumedh Natu

The food is good here, clean well presented. They let the flavour of the ingredients shine. Is it the best italian restaurant in Mumbai as some might have you believe? I doubt so. Hype aside the atmosphere is welcoming. The staff is very professional and quite courteous. The waiting staff is well versed with their recommendations and food pairings. This is a lively place so if you wish to have a quiet and intimate meal maybe look elsewhere. Irrespective if you wish to have a good meal with wood fired pizzas (the bread/base is excellent, something they should pat their backs about) then Americano can be one of the many options in and around Fort/Kala Ghoda. Their tiramisu (as suggested our server) was one of the better ones I've had over the years.

Americano is one of the very best, most consistently amazing food experiences in the city. Their menu is carefully considered, well crafted and delicious across the board. The drinks selection is excellent too, with their unique cocktails (my favorite is the Yukari Negroni). Please try the Love Letters appetizer, and their pizzas and roast chicken are worth visiting again and again for. The Tiramisu is top tier as well

Had a wonderful time at Americano! The vibe was warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious, every dish was thoughtfully prepared and packed with flavour. The service was great too, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a spot with great ambience and food that hits the mark. Will definitely be coming back!

The food at Americano is one of the best in Mumbai. They clearly know what they are doing. The staff is polite and very courteous. Coming to the food, they know their way around meat and veg, both. Highly recommend you to try the pasta, duck confit, lamb shoulder, butter garlic crab. For cocktails, the dead rabbit, aperol spritz are your bestie. This place transfers you directly to a bar is Europe. The tiramisu is something to look forward to.

Delicious food. Friendly, professional and prompt service at the right price point. What more can one ask of a restaurant? I walked in for a solo lunch without a reservation on Sunday afternoon. All tables were taken but there was plenty of room at the bar counter. Had sea bass carpaccio for a start - (the fish was great but I thought the toppings were a bit too much) and the grilled snapper for mains (perfectly done), followed by gelato dessert (very good). Was a dry day for festivals, only non alcoholic stuff, so I just had plain water. Will try the drinks next time - yes there will be a next time.

MUST TRY – Drinks – The Prestige Dead Rabbit The Cardinal Orange Spritz Food – Jalapeño Dijon Pork Belly Duck Ravioli Seared Salmon Carnivore Pizza Black Truffle Cappelletti Dessert – Tiramisu Americano RATINGS – Food & Drinks: 5/5 Ambience: 5/5 Price: 4.5/5 Total – 5/5 Americano offers the ultimate dining experience. Every single dish is a hit. From the buttery pork belly to the rich duck ravioli and perfectly cooked salmon, it’s one flavour bomb after another. The cocktails are immensely well-made. The first sip and you know it's top-notch. Absolutely unmissable. You must end with the Tiramisu Americano. It’s not just dessert, it’s closure. This place is culinary nirvana. Go hungry, leave speechless.

Went in without knowing anything about the place. My friend who took me said it is always busy and has a waiting for upto 2 weeks. Luckily we walked in post dinner and managed to get a standing table! We just went for cocktails and desserts but after reading their menu and so much about Chef Sanchez I cannot wait to go and try the food! I had Worli World which was delicious and spicy- just how I love my cocktails. My friend found her drink very basic on the contrary. The tiramisu was scrumptious ✨✨✨
