Anchoíta delivers a dining experience that feels both grounded in Argentine tradition and elevated by creative flair. From the moment you walk into its industrial-chic space, the atmosphere feels intimate yet unpretentious — dim lights, a well-curated playlist, and the buzz of the open kitchen create the perfect backdrop for a date night that feels special without trying too hard. The service strikes the right balance between attentiveness and distance, letting the food and company take center stage.
The stuffed chipá arrived warm and slightly crisp on the outside, revealing a perfectly oozing center. The pâté de mollejas was a standout: rich, silky, and deeply flavored without being overwhelming, paired beautifully with fresh bread and pickles that cut through its intensity. The main, merluza negra with lemon, was simple on paper but extraordinary on the plate — flaky, moist, and bathed in a citrus-forward sauce that brightened every bite. There’s a quiet confidence in how the kitchen lets each ingredient shine.
Drinks were part of the narrative. Each cocktail felt curated to surprise: nuanced, aromatic, and unlike the usual offerings elsewhere in the city. Anchoíta isn’t just serving good food; it’s crafting an experience that feels wholly its own. It’s the kind of place you leave already planning to return — not out of routine, but because it gives you something to remember.
