Andamiro - Review - Park Slope - New York - The Infatuation

"Andamiro is a casual Korean restaurant in Park Slope specializing in gukbap, a soup usually made with rice. Here, you can choose between rice or noodles for your starch, as well as a soup base, a protein, and a sauce, like chili oil or gochujang. There are also a few small plates on the menu, in case you’d like to start with some assorted banchan or beef tartare." - Willa Moore

Very nice place, the counter seating is great, the service is friendly and fast. The food is great! The gukbap broth is subtle in flavor, the kimchi sauce added a lot. The beef was nicely cooked. The galbi is outstanding, so full of flavor! The chef even made a wrap and fed it to my husband, with a special sauce! Highly recommend!

This is where I can finally get a truly authentic Korean gukbap in NYC. For anyone who does not know, gukbap is a rich broth with rice and is considered real Korean soul food. I guess this restaurant opened recently, because I would have known about it long ago if it had been around. What I love most is that this is the only place where I can customize my gukbap with different broth bases, proteins, and sauces. It is fun to build it in my own style. I kindly asked the chef for two sauces, doenjang and gochujang. Each one tastes great on its own, but the combination of the two was amazing. It has deep umami from the doenjang and a nice kick from the gochujang. The broth itself is rich and complex, nothing like the simple MSG based broths that some other places use. The chef even offered me a taste of the soy and sesame soup base, and that blew me away. I love 콩국수(kongguksu), and the soup reminded me of that creamy and nutty flavor. I might try this soup with ice in it next time. I will definitely come back to try more combinations and find my own perfect bowl. Highly recommended.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The chicken gukbap at Andamiro felt like true Korean comfort food. The broth was deeply flavorful yet light, and the chicken was tender and satisfying. It’s the kind of meal that warms you up and makes you feel taken care of. Simple, authentic, and delicious.

I’ve been here three times already just to try different dishes, and everything has always tasted great. The servers are incredibly kind and friendly even the chefs or cooks will come chat with you if they have time, which makes the place feel very welcoming. You don’t even need company to enjoy a meal here. What I love the most is the interior design. You can really tell they pay attention to every detail, not just the food.

What a fantastic meal!! I got the banchan and everything was so flavorful. The chicken soup was comforting and delicious, and I loved the experience of getting to doctor up your own soup. The staff were all very attentive and it’s so fun getting to sit at the bar and watch all the food being made. Will definitely be back!

A new Korean soup place makes broth that tastes like a granny’s deep, slow boiled soup but with a modern twist. I tried the chicken broth (with chicken and doenjang) and the beef broth (with beef and chili oil). The broth itself tastes like a true granny style soup that has been boiled overnight. I especially liked the beef broth. The garnishing sauces add a modern twist. I loved the chili oil one. Enjoy the clear soup first for a while, then add the sauces later. I also tried the fried root-vegetable chips, dongchimi (radish), and Korean beef tartare. Dongchimi is not optional sidedish if you are having soup. It’s a traditional version but with a new Korean twist, I would say. It’s slightly sweeter and tangy, and the yuzu zest is a great kick. Surprisingly, it goes even better with the soup than the traditional version. I think each person should get their own serving of this. The tartare is also really fresh and chewy, and you’ll appreciate this dish only if you are accustomed to sushi or French beef tartare. The root vegetable chip is a simple, straightforward dish that anyone would enjoy, and they are easy to share as a starter. If two people go, order two soups, two dongchimi, and other shareable sidedishes.

Yelp
You're not crying -- I am! I'm genuinely so happy that a new Korean gukbap spot has opened in Park Slope. Hooray! Brooklyn absolutely deserves better Korean food, and this place is a major win. We ordered the beef gukbap with two different sauces, but honestly the broth was so beautifully creamy that I didn't want to ruin it with anything. I only dipped the meat in the sauce occasionally. The beef itself was sukiyaki-thin, lightly charred, and incredibly flavorful. Truly delicious. My only request: please make the radish kimchi refillable at least once or give a bit more. In Korea, gukbap restaurants are known for their radish kimchi, and as a radish-kimchi lover, I definitely needed just a little extra. We also tried dongchimi and dukgalbi. The dongchimi was refreshing and not sweet (thank you!), though I do wish the radish had stayed crunchy instead of soft. The dukgalbi was fantastic but so well-seasoned that I found myself wishing for rice cakes or rice balls on the side. Overall, such a joyful addition to the neighborhood. I'm already planning my next visit.

Yelp
obsessed. I've prayed for a day when I can get some kind of gukbap without going to flushing. this is it!!! chicken broth was so delicious and nourishing. it came with a side of kimchi and sauce of your choice. we also ordered dongchimi (white kimchi) and the banchan. everything was delish but the dongchimi was pretty dang good. it comes in a cup of brine that the waitress recommended we sip with our meal. so good. we also got the chestnut makgeolli which went great with the soup. absolutely will be back and I'm so overjoyed they are in the neighborhood, everyone pls go.
