Andrea’s Pizza - Review - East Village - New York - The Infatuation

"Andrea’s Pizza in the East Village is from a chef who worked at Scarr’s and L’Industrie for a long time, so we’re pretty excited to see what they do. They have a short menu of slices—including plain, margherita, pepperoni, and a daily special, in addition to Sicilian and Grandma-style pies, and a calzone. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Will Hartman

Sicilian is 🔥 fire. The mushroom and olive slice , sausage & onion, honestly they are all great. Been following Andrea around the city while he’s worked at some of the best slice shops - happy to see him do his own thing.

I remember when Andrea started making pizza at Scarr’s and he was their best baker for a while. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw him at L’Industrie west village but I couldn’t be happier for him to open his own shop. He’s the kind of guy you root for. It doesn’t hurt that the pizza is amazing as well. Already the best pizza in the EV which has needed a good slice shop for a while now. Don’t sleep on the Sicilian or the grandma either!! Both amazing slices and Andrea bakes them perfectly.

It’s da best. It could all be so simple, classic NY slices.

You take the skills and brains of someone who has worked hard at Scarr's and L'Industrie and give him his own spot - and he will take you on a wonderful journey of classic NY style pizza. No need for frills and thrills that modern pizzarias offer, Andrea will take you back to the NYC pizza many of us grew up on in the 80s and 90s but upscaled it to today's standards. So not elevated in appearance but elevated in quality and flavor.

No frills place, but an excellent slice with a terrific crust. Crisp but not crunchy, with the perfect amount of chew and good flavor. Had the banana pepper and sausage slice, and can't wait to try whatever else they make.

Baseline cheese slice: Crispy crust but doesn't melt in your mouth, dough a bit sour instead of sweet which I would guess works better with the hot honey they are pushing. Good cheese, very fresh and sharp. A neat slice, a bit larger than average, not messy but the sauce to cheese ratio is very much cheese heavy. A solid NYC slice, I've had better, I've had worse. Apologies for ruining the 5 star rating but this is not a 5.

Best slice and full pie in the neighborhood! New spot and absolutely worth checking out. Both for locals and those visiting on a night out. The owner is a sweetheart and gem. As a local East Villager, so happy they’ve moved in.

Google
Excellent Sicilian and NY pizza. Ate here because I saw other good reviews and was not disappointed. It’s a good indicator when a place has very fresh basil and browns the cheese just right, but pictures can’t tell you that the crust is good too.

Yelp
New pizza spot in the neighborhood and one of my favorite slices in NYC now. Big, very thin and crispy slice. 10/10.

Yelp
Andrea's Pizza is a cute spot to pickup a slice or a whole pie - note that they are currently pickup only, but a delivery option will be offered soon! We did a pickup of: +a Classic Cheese slice - with organic tomatoes and mozzarella +a Grandma slice - Sicilian; with organic tomatoes, mozzarella, garlic, and basil +a Sicilian Pepperoni slice - with organic tomatoes, mozzarella, beef pepperoni, and basil; loved that they had a beef pepperoni option! Staff were friendly, and the slices came out piping hot! You can call ahead or just order in person. +pickups only +piping hot slices and whole pies +friendly staff

Yelp
Fantastic new pizzeria. Great old school NY style slices made with passion by Andrea. This place will be the new go to pizza joint in the East Village.
