Met up with some Yelp friends few weeks ago and had a great meal, so decided to come back with my wife to celebrate our 15 year anniversary.
My favorite item so far is Short Ribs. It's cabernet-braised short ribs served with blue cheese mashed potatoes, pan-fried Brussels sprouts, shallots, and chive chips. The ribs were super tender and flavorful, and Brussels sprouts were excellent.
Pacific Seafood Salad is one of the best salads I ever had. Definitely in my top three. I thought the price was reasonable for a salad that comes with shrimp, scallops, and red crab. Red wine pickled hard boiled egg was also a nice and unique addition to this salad. It definitely tasted like red wine.
Scottish Salmon was good but I would've preferred more seasoning on the salmon itself. The other items on this dish, especially the Oaxacan cheese grits, were quite good.
I took a little sip of my wife's Jungle Cat cocktail, which was excellent. It's a spicy, refreshing drink made with spicy citrus-infused Tito's Vodka, Ancho Reyes Liqueur, lemon ginger agave, and yuzu.
For dessert I tried Eton Mess and Fuji Apple Cobbler. Both were good but apple cobbler was too typical. I thought Eton Mess was a much better dessert. It's basically a lemon curd with cassis, cinnamon, berries, and meringue nests. It was light and refreshing without being too sweet. It was almost like a palette cleanser after a meal.
Service was mixed, which is the main reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. First visit was good, but service on second visit was quite slow.
It's located in a corporate plaza so seems busier on weekdays than weekends. Was here on Saturday both times for early dinner so wasn't too crowded. Has valet parking, as well as validated self-parking right by the restaurant.
