I always come here when in NYC. The pistachio filled croissants and pastries are a favorite, but the creme filled is perfection. I get the mortadella and cheese sandwich to go so I don't have to eat crappy airport food. Reasonably priced for product and being in NYC. P.S. brewed coffee is very good.

Great spot with a nice selection of beautiful croissants, cakes, and other baked goods. It was pretty crowded, but everything stayed fairly organized. They have upstairs seating area to enjoy your treats and coffee.

Absolutely amazing and delicious pastries! The line was out the door but there was no line for the self order kiosk, which was simple and our pastries were ready quickly. Nice little seating area upstairs. The strawberry croissant had an amazing strawberry cream center and the Nutella donut was so good. Super sweet little spot to stop in the city!

Food was fantastic. I've been looking for a berry filled croissant for a while and this hit the spot. The service was a different story- the woman behind the counter couldn't be bothered to pay attention to the customers as she was glued to her phone. She rang me up and stepped back to again look at her phone but forgot to finalize so I continued to wait for her attention. I saw this repeated for many following customers.

I was staying nearby this space and wanted a treat after dinner, I was happy to have found this place although it was a little tough since the gps was missing it for some reason. I got a couple of things and they were both delicious!! But I would recommend the cheesecake if you like a creamy cheesecake.

Angelina is an excellent midtown spot to grab your coffee and absolutely delicious bombolone of your choice, their selection of bomboloni is as close to Italy as you're going to get. Angelina also carries a very small but delicious variety of gelato. Their pastries are absolutely incredible, their coffee is nonetheless good, too. With plenty of seating, downstairs and upstairs, this is a very cool spot to get together and figure out what you're going to do for the rest of your days while visiting New York City!

Quality varies between the cakes and pastries but as long as you choose wisely you’ll love it. Our favourites were the tiramisu cups, pistachio croissant and focaccia. But that said, the pretty red cake was super underwhelming. Eat upstairs for the best experience.

The best bakery I ate from in New York! The croissants are amazing. So are the foccacia. The bombolone are just unbelievable! Wow! Almost impossible to eat anywhere else after eating here!

This bakery has an assortment of French style pastries (bombalones, croissants, Kouign-amann, cronuts) as well as focaccia sandwiches and pizzas and drinks. Seating is abundant and the shop is open until 9pm most nights. We got a boston cream pie bombalone and a Nutella croissant to dine in. The former had a moist yeast donut batter with a creamy and thick creme filling. The filling took up a major part of the donut. The croissant was flaky, buttery and delicate. The Nutella interior was plentiful and decadent. Part of the croissant was dusted in cocoa powder, part in powdered sugar. We ordered a mini Dubai croissant to go and had it later. The flakiness and buttery taste was there. It was also dipped in dark chocolate and mint stripes (like a thin mint). The interior was stuffed with a crunchy and nutty pistachio paste. Different but so good.

Such a cute spot. Lots of desserts inside. Enough seatings with additional upstairs. Service was pretty prompt and efficient. Definitely will visit again when I'm in the area.

Located directly across from M Social Hotel, this bakery has yummy options for lunch and dessert. My fam and I tried a variety of things including the pizza, sandwiches, cheesecake, fruit tart and gelato. I can only personally attest to the burnt cheesecake which I found to be quite yummy. The pizza seemed a bit oily but I didn't hear any complaints about it or any of the other items. The staff were also quite friendly!

Angelina Bakery has several locations in NYC. It was the blue boxes that I've seen littered on the streets that I took note to drop by for a visit. The brightness and clean look drawn me in....I was impressed with the different types of pastries that were displayed. The lady that greeted us was nice but English was not her first language. The "donuts" bombalones were incredibly rich and dense (fillings). I was surprised the dryness...was hoping for the bombalone to be moist. We ordered a variety, including chocolate, custard, pistachio, plain, and a vegan brownie on the side. The pistachio was very sweet and indulgent, the creme was heavier than I expected, more like a thick frosting in texture. The light dusting of sugar complimented the pastry well. I enjoyed these as a person with a big sweet tooth but if you don't have one I would say this dessert is likely too sweet for you.

Quality of food and service was very good! I loved how they had the option for mini croissants, I was looking forward to trying the pistachio one - SO GOOD!! The workers were very friendly and greeted you as you walked in and ensured you were not waiting long! We dined in at were able to sit in a quality area! Visited for a second time got the pistachio filled donut - delicious!

I went to NYC for a small food tour for my son's birthday and this bakery was on my list. I stopped in before heading back home which was later in the evening. By my surprise they were still fully stocked on majority of everything and the pastries were still fresh! I love me some pistachio so it was only right I got one thing that had pistachio in it. The lady was super sweet who had taken my order. The inside was clean as well. I believe this location had an upstairs seating area too. Bring one to the DMV area please !

The best almond croissant ever! Even compared to croissants in Paris! I went here every morning for an almond croissant. The e last day we slept later and they were out of almond croissants so I tried a vanilla one. It was really good, but the almond is the best! I will be on to e search for a comparable one in California. I'm not sure it exists here.

It's so cute in here and they have so many options. The food is good and not too badly priced for New York. I would come back here again! The service was pretty good as well.

Great place. Heard all about it before we went to NYC and it didn't disappoint. Friendly service and an amazing selection of treats and eats. We sat in the loft and ate and watched people come and go. Bonus. The coffee was great.

This...place... will...not...disappoint!! Oh my, croissants, pastry, donuts& more!! We ordered a Nutella croissant, donut croissant, and tiramisu. All were absolutely delicious. There's also a seating area on the 2nd floor!!

Came back again last week to get the pistachio wheel croissants, Almond croissants to go and then again yesterday to get the pistachio gelato. The croissants to go weren't as great this time around. It could be because I got them to go and they lost their crunch factor. The pistachio wheel croissants were filled on the spot and then packed to go for me which I appreciated because they didn't have any at the moment and had just baked the wheel croissants themselves. It's possible that they were steaming up a bit inside the box until I got home to eat it. So yay for customer service but slight disappoint in the desserts this time around. I say slight because the pistachio flavor was still there and oh so good. Almond croissants looked better than they tasted. But definitely recommend dining in rather than getting it to go if getting croissants. Yesterday, the pistachio gelato was chef's kiss. It was sooooo good and definitely worth every penny. I loved the pistachio bits mixed into the gelato. My friend got the peanut and caramel gelato and she loved that too. I tried it and it was good, lots of peanut flavor without much of the caramel flavor. We want to come back for more gelato next time! But also more pistachio bombolones because those are the bomb.

Service is quick and friendly. Place is clean and nicely lit. There are a couple tables downstairs and a few more upstairs. We didn't get a chance to visit other bakeries while in town but I would say the price is good for the quality, presentation and service. Dining in we got a pistachio croissant and tomato pesto focaccia. They were huge and delicious. I would recommend getting a savory item and a sweet item and sharing half with someone. The filling on the pistachio croissant was thick, rich and a little on the sweet side, but would pair well with a hot cup of coffee or tea. The focaccia was delicious! Not too think or thin, or greasy and had a nice flakey top. We took home chantilly cream and strawberry cream bombolones, pistachio rolling croissant, chocolate rolling croissant, pistachio croissant and strawberry croissant. We ate them the next day and day after and they still tasted good. The cream in the bombolones were perfect! Smooth and not too sweet. Not only was everything delicious, the presentation was beautiful.

Jolly at Angelina... I recently stopped by Angelina Bakery and had the pleasure of trying their strawberry-dipped croissant, and I was absolutely delighted. Small spot and has a line. Prices are moderate and pastry is good. The Cafe Au Lait was good and the croissants we got Plain & Chocolate were tasty. I also got a raspberry square like layered croissant and that was nice too. FYI they have two prices for Cash & Card.

I've tried the nutella and raspberry croissants on two separate occasions. These pastries are beautiful...but, if it's even possible to say, too rich and voluminous in filling to consume. Oversized, they look absolutely appealing. But the sheer amount of nutella and raspberry jam was overwhelming. The ratio of laminated pastry to filling was off, with the filling in one croissant probably enough for two croissants. I consumed the nutella croissant and raspberry croissant in probably three or four sittings because they were too sweet and decadent and could only handle a few bites at a time. That said, I did think the lamination was lovely and overall pastry quality to be fairly good.

Had their strawberry croissant with fillings. It tasted butter which was great. However, the filling was too sweet for this to be enjoyable. Also, the store is extremely crowded, making it difficult to find a seat to enjoy the treat. I would not recommend this dessert to be honest, and would opt for a regular artisan croissant from other bakeries.

Went in for hot chocolate. Ended up with hot chocolate and a pistachio bombolone.The hot chocolate was not good and watered down (tasted like watery Swiss miss hot chocolate mix). It cannot compare to the real Parisian Angelina hot chocolate(thick and viscose, and good), so if you're looking for that, look elsewhere. The bombolone was good and properly filled with pistachio filling. Service was great and plenty of space in this location, which includes a second floor.

Get a crème-filled croissant - which is definitely shareable btw. You won't be disappointed.

Have always passed by and wanted to stop in for the famous bombolones! The bombolone is very fluffy and light - very different from your over-fried, greasy donuts. The strawberry cream was very light and leaned more lemon/citrusy than strawberry. But we really liked the Croissant Rolly more - the Chantilly cream was again very light but still rich without being overwhelmingly sweet.

Great pastries! This place didn't blow my mind but it was very yummy and we didn't have any wait.

Checked this place out based on the reviews and was close by. I love pistachio so I wanted to try the pistachio bombolone. I saw the $9 price after I ordered it but hey, this is a touristy area of NYC and I figured it would have been made with a lot of pistachio which is expensive. Check out the picture I posted. It's a plain sugar donut with just the little glob of pistachio. And as plain donuts go, it was average at best. Basically what you would pay $1-2 elsewhere. This place was a complete rip-off and I wish I could get my $9 back for that rubbish donut. I would not recommend going here. There are plenty of other places for better baked goods in a less pretentious atmosphere.

Worth Every Extra Step to Angelina Bakery I will trek half of New York City to get an Angelina's bomboloni. Didn't know what they were before I had one, and now I think about them whenever I'm within a 20-block radius. Do I add an extra 45 minutes to my commute just for these? Yes. Is the Nutella bomboloni the most heavenly fluffy donut to ever cross my lips? Absolutely. Occasionally, there's a line, but honestly, it's to be expected. I was on a 1.5-hour commute to Queens and added 45 minutes just to get two of these for myself and a friend. These would be part of my death row meal. If more conveniently located, I'd have a prepaid tab for the year for these alone. They have seating and signed as well so you can make this a little pitstop on your journey to wherever it is you're going.

I can only speak on the quality and taste of the macarons, the trocadero pastry and the hot chocolate. Ok, and maybe how cute the shop/cafe is! And how nice the people are when we come in with our kids :) That trocadero pastry is something else...so perfectly made. Try to take only one or two bites, I dare you. I had a very hard time sharing it with the family. In fact, I am pretty sure I ate the entire thing before I had to share it. The macarons are well-made. I like the rose one. The kids and my husband prefer the vanilla, chocolate and pistachio. I think at one point our son even tried the caramel and a seasonal flavor and loved it. The hot chocolate was probably the only disappointing thing we've had from Angelina. It was way too sweet! The chocolate was thick and sticky and even the kids wouldn't drink it. Love stopping in here whenever we got to Bryant Park, which is fairly often.

Stayed the weekend at the Holiday Inn Express basically next door, everything in the window looked good and was hungry in the morning so I DoorDash an order. Orders Brissant and a latte. Arrived for pickup super fast and convenient! The second day I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese croissant which was mid. And another latte. Will definitely be back for a brissant filled with whipped cream and cinnamon sugar on the outside. It was a very cute cafe with display windows!

Food: 3.5 Service: 2.5 Ambiance: 3.5 I really wanted to love this place as it had been on my list for a while! When we entered there was no line in front of us and I was like score! But then none of the workers acknowledged or said anything to us and we were a bit confused about where to order. More people came in and they were also confused. Anyways we ended up ordering 1 pistachio filled croissants, Boston crème and ham/ cheese croissant. We ended up heading to the second level to eat and were happy to find a seat! Unfortunately it seemed that the ac wasn't working so we were drenched in sweat while eating our goodies (in the middle of July). The ham/ cheese croissant was fine. The pistachio croissant and Boston crème were good but did not blow me away.

It's a very cute and cozy bakery with an amazing history behind the owner's efforts and talent. They have many great sweet and savory options like croissants, filled croissants and croissant sandwiches, donuts, bomboloni, variety of cakes and cheesecake and coffee. We ordered "Strawberry Croissant", "Pistachio Croissant", "Mont Blanc Bomblone", "Egg & Spinach Focaccia" and coffee and enjoyed them at the tables upstairs.

This bakery is so aesthetically pleasing and all the desserts looked too pretty to eat. The place is pretty small but service was surprisingly quick. I was happy to see a sitting area with a good amount of tables and chairs. The donuts were light and fluffy and stuffed with filling which I appreciated. I ordered (Italian Doughnut filled with Nutella, A strawberry Italian Doughnut filled with Strawberry Cream and a Mont Blanc/ Italian Doughnut filled with half Nutella & half Chantilly Cream, it's the best of both worlds!) They do sell other items if you're not into sweets like pizza, sandwiches, salads and pasta. I wish they would franchise to Providence because they would be such a hit!

Angelina Bakery has a great selection of both savory and sweet treats. I tried a pizza slice and some pastries--both were fresh and tasty. The flavors were good, but nothing extraordinary for the price. Speaking of which, it's definitely on the pricey side. While the quality is solid, I'm not sure it fully justifies the cost. Nice spot to check out if you're in the area, but be prepared to spend a bit more than expected!

11.99 for a bacon egg and cheese on a croissant. Not worth it. It was warmed up when given to me however inside was still cold. Would not buy again.

A nice place to chill to kill some time. Had a delicious pistachio croissant. The inside was very rich. I saw an employee cleaning the tables several times in the hour or so I was there.

Went to this place after Dim Sum Sam (a cheap authentic Hong Kong style restaurant with duck noodle soup). This place has a variety of coffees and tea lattes, but what attracted me to it the most are their pastries and yogurt drink! I was thinking about getting a yogurt drink over their teas. They are opening a yogurlina nearby and are doing a run of samples here! The yogurt drink is mildly sweet with a bit of a sour yogurt punch. The flavors are quite distinct. I've tried their peach, lychee, melon, and strawberry flavors. My favorite were lychee and peach but they're all super tasty! You could ask for less ice but no ice was not an option for me. The drink is similar to a mango lassi but lighter. Loved it!

I first entered this place assuming this was the famous Parisian boulangerie but later got disappointed that this was a different Angelina but I was still intrigued because it was Italian. The smell was so pleasant and it was crowded. I could see a lot of tourists, esp. the French waiting to buy them. Probably them came in just like me. MUST TRY: Pistachio tart Pistachio croissant Mont Blanc Bombolone Loved the Bombolone but I couldn't taste even a hint of chestnut. Probably Mont Blanc is different in this Angelina? PS: You get a free drip coffee when you check-in

I popped into here on my way home to pick up some celebratory pastries. The pastries were DELICIOUS (especially the pistachio bombalone). The only reason I'd say 3 stars instead of 5 is because there wasn't much variety and the pastries didn't taste suuuuper fresh. I'd would definitely try again earlier in the day though.

I am not a coffee guy, so whenever I go to cafés I get hot chocolate. In my opinion the best chocolate I ever had was at a store in Salt Lake City where everything was made on site. I now have a close second!!! It was pretty full and busy so I can't really take points off for service or ambiance, it's a small little place with character and apparently very popular. I had my order taken the service was good for the circumstances. Now to the hot chocolate. It was DIVINE, it was thick, rich and not too sweet. They knocked it out of the park!!! I don't know if they too make it onsite but whatever they are doing I need the recipe. Every other spot I've been to in the city has just been water with a hint of chocolate or some powdered mess. They nailed it!!!

Angelina's Bakery is by far one of the prettiest pastries stores out here when it comes to how the baked goods look like. The inside is small with very limited space to eat. So I'm assuming people just pick this up and take it with them. You can have a wide variety of delicious options from filled bombolones, croissants, and gelato. I am sure I'll be able to find something delicious as a treat. The only thing I would say is they lack a variety of drink options. Specialty coffees and lattes would be nice. But still a great spot to stop by.

We love this place for breakfast and desert. Lots of delicious fresh baked treats. They have a small seating area, which we had no issues finding room. We are here multiple times on different trips to NYC. They also have a coffee bar. I would recommend this for a great light breakfast option or dessert after a show or after a long day.

This place is incredible. The flavors are truly mind-blowing. The pistachio spiral was the best thing. The flaky croissant bread. The pistachio sauce inside was a dream. The chocolate croissant filled with Nutella was terrific. So much Nutella inside lucky me. Inside staff is kind. It's cheaper if you pay cash. There is a bathroom but need a code.

I am unable to say no to beautiful pastries and desserts, so it was not hard for my friend to convince me to go to Angelina Bakery twice during our short NYC trip. Angelina Bakery seems like a popular place since it was filled with people, but the line moves quickly. The space is small, but there is a seating area downstairs and upstairs. Luckily, my friend and I were able to grab some seats upstairs both times. Their menu has an assortment of sweet and savory items. We tried the chantilly croissant the first time. The croissant was good, but the chantilly was too sweet for my preference. However, my friend loved it and said that it was the best that she has ever had. I tried the Ferrero Rocher cake the second time. It was a good cake, but it was again too sweet. Overall, Angelina Bakery seems like a solid option for lunch, pastries, or desserts - especially with how beautiful their pastries and desserts are. However, you have to have a sweet tooth.

Despite now being a large chain, the food is not worth the hype. Tried a filled croissant, a filled donut, and a rolly croissant. All the fillings are very good and the best part. The actual pastries were lackluster. The donut was too hard. The croissant was dry. The rolly croissant was dry and burnt.

I came in on a Sunday evening around 6/7pm to grab a few of the infamous rolled croissants for a family member visiting the city. Upon walking in you pretty much immediately join the line in front of the pastry cases and towards the back there seemed to be just a few seats - not a super exciting or notable interior for photos, but that's not why you are here anyways! Unfortunately the ordering process took way longer than was warranted for the amount of customers and workers in the building at the time. Just seems like things were a bit slow behind the counter for mostly filling boxes with prepared pastries. The croissants were beautiful and impressive, my family member loved the Chantelle cream filled version best!

We were craving post-dinner Italian-style pastries had high expectations given the ratings. However the selection wasn't as appealing as hoped and serving in paper and plastic didn't enhance the experience. Ambience is very casual. Server behind the counter was bored but efficient.

Gourmet selection to die for! They their Bombolis (Italian Donuts) if you go! We also got some stuffed croissants and they were delicious. It is a more casual, take-out type of bakery. Not many seats inside. Highly recommend!

This is a cute little bakery. The service was very friendly and provided nice recommendations. I tried strawberry bombolone- it was delicious, not too sweet, very tender. The best dessert I tried was their cheesecake - I would highly recommend it to anyone! The only disappointment was the berry tart- it was not with custard but with a whipped cream which didn't taste that well, and the tart itself was not soft enough. I would definitely come back to try more bombolones and for that cheesecake!

After months of seeing the spiral croissants or rolly croissants online, I finally had the chance to try it! Though the Nutella Croissant I tried wasn't warm out of the oven, it was still delicious! To me, the other than the shape, it tasted just like a regular croissant. If you visit I Angelina Bakery, make sure to try their other pastries as well. Service here is amazing, I also love how they have seatings here to just enjoy some yummy pastries

Excellent bombolones (Italian donuts)! I had ordered a bunch (5 different flavors) through EZCater. Everyone loved them- there was love for each flavor! You can easily eat 3-4 to satisfy dessert cravings. If I had to pick one, pistachio was my favorite. But Chantilly cream is right up there!!! So delicate and satisfying without the crash. Best donuts!!!

We went to this bakery pretty late in the evening and everything look delicious. The bakery had a nice decent system of ordering and offered a large variety of baked goods and gelatos. My heart was set on the pistachio croissant though. Unfortunately I couldn't try it the same evening and had it the first thing next morning. But I'm happy to report that it was just amazing nonetheless. This was my first time trying anything pistachio flavoured, and I loved it. It was not too sweet and tasted great. Would recommend!!
