Cajun seafood chain blends Asian and Cajun flavors in boils

"Seafood Boil With Lemon Pepper Sauce If you have the sudden urge to crack something after emerging from Dante’s little known tenth circle of hell (a.k.a. the Atlantic Station parking deck), go to Angry Crab Shack. While the triple-digit price for the two-person Shack Mixed Bag is steep, one bite of the tender crab legs, potatoes, and corn doused in lemon pepper sauce makes it easier to stomach. And we really like the spicy Trifecta sauce, which is a blend of their lemon pepper, garlic, and Cajun sauces. Add in the loud pop/R&B tunes and their heavy-handed cocktails, and this spot is a fun place to grab dinner with your lemon-pepper-loving friends." - juli horsford, nina reeder, jacinta howard
"After emerging from Dante’s little known tenth circle of hell (the Atlantic Station parking deck), we often have the sudden urge to crack something. Cue Angry Crab Shack. While the triple-digit price for the two-person Shack Mixed Bag is steep, one bite of the tender crab legs, potatoes, and corn doused in the spicy trifecta sauce (lemon pepper, garlic, and Cajun) makes it easier to stomach. A place that requires bibs and plastic gloves to eat your meal already signals a more casual vibe. But heavy-handed cocktails like the rum-heavy Hurricane combined with pop/R&B tunes and the sounds of crab claws cracking makes this a rowdy, fun dinner spot." - juli horsford
"Atlanta has another damn crab restaurant. But before you go lumping this Atlantic Station entry in the same bucket with other juicy/wild/boiling spots, let it be known that this one is cracked differently. Sure, the Janet Jackson is turned up too high, and you’ll have the same rowdy birthday groups. But at least the bar top isn’t sticky, the crab tanks aren’t cloudy, and servers seem genuinely interested if you’re enjoying your lobster crostini (spoiler: you will). Which brings us to another point—the seafood here doesn’t taste like it’s just been unboxed from Costco. The two-person Shack Mixed Bag may pinch the pockets at $100, but there’s a freshness to this Cajun-lemon-peppery bowl of crab clusters, a lobster tail, corn, and red potatoes rarely found around town. photo credit: Sarah Newman photo credit: Sarah Newman photo credit: Sarah Newman Pause Unmute" - DeMarco Williams

"Grab a bib and roll up those sleeves: a franchise of Arizona-based Angry Crab Shack is taking over the former Pig and the Pearl space at Atlantic Station and is slated to open this fall at 1380 Atlantic Drive. They blend Asian and Cajun flavors in their seafood boils, which feature lobster, crawfish, shrimp, and Dungeness, king, and snow crabs; diners choose a sauce, spice level, and accoutrements like corn on the cob, red potatoes, sausage, and crispy tofu to mix into their boils. The menu also includes sandwiches, fried seafood baskets, and dishes like red beans and rice, and the chain already has locations across Arizona, Alabama, Texas, and Nevada with additional openings planned in Georgia, Utah, and Washington (angrycrabshack.com)." - Beth McKibben
