I have a strong suspicion that Anthony's business has changed hands. Every winter, my wife and I would patronize Anthony's for their delicious breakfast and chocolate. However, today's experience was vastly different from what we've grown accustomed to, leaving us thoroughly dissatisfied and disappointed.
The customer service has deteriorated significantly. Previously, we were attended to by professional adults who provided excellent service. Now, the establishment seems to be staffed by inexperienced young individuals with an unpleasant attitude.
The food quality has also taken a turn for the worse. For instance, the eggs taste overly processed, and their shape suggests they're cooked in a mold rather than on the grill. The sandwiches no longer come with sufficient bacon, and the chocolate-filled bread lacks adequate chocolate filling. Furthermore, they've replaced Heinz ketchup with the cheaper French's alternative.
Honestly, we no longer believe it's worth returning to this establishment, which is unfortunate, given it was our favorite. I also suspect that the business may have been acquired by new ownership, unfortunately, this often results in a decline in product quality.
It raises questions as to why changes were necessary in the first place, considering the product was excellent and the food was rich. Was it not sufficient replacing the previous staff with younger individuals and pay them lower wages?
