Latin American & South Asian fusion cuisine with creative dishes and cocktails
"With some of the best sidewalk real estate in Harlem—possibly in Manhattan—this restaurant is the obvious choice for a sunny brunch on Lenox Ave. It also has a little backyard, plus some tables and a compact bar inside the long, narrow room. Instead of avocado toast, you’ll find a mix of interesting dishes—like breakfast arepas with steak, or shrimp curry with turmeric rice, which reflect the owners’ Ecuadorian and Bangladeshi roots. There’s a bottomless mimosa deal at brunch, and an absolutely unmissable french toast with seasonal fruit." - neha talreja, hannah albertine, bryan kim, willa moore, sonal shah
"With some of the best sidewalk real estate in Harlem, and possibly Manhattan, Archer & Goat is the obvious choice for a sunny brunch on Lenox Ave. (It also has a tiny backyard.) "Archer & Goat is in the bottom of a townhouse just below 120th Street, and it’s an attractive space with white brick walls, a small backyard, and lightbulbs in bunches hanging from the ceiling. It’s about equal parts restaurant and bar, and while you don’t need to eat a full dinner here, there’s a bunch of food like roasted duck, a burger, and some pretty solid arepas. The next time you need to grab a drink with coworkers, some parents, or someone who wants life advice and for some reason thinks you’re capable of providing it, get a few bar seats or a table out back." - hannah albertine, bryan kim
"Perhaps you’re a coward, and you aren’t ready to sit across a table from your date and confront your emotions by making solid eye contact and asking thoughtful questions. That’s fair. Just go sit at the bar at Archer & Goat, a casual restaurant/bar in the bottom of a townhouse in Harlem. Eat some arepas or a burger, and have a few cocktails while you stare straight ahead and think about whether you’re ready to settle down, date this person, and stop sending suggestive Shrek memes to all the other people in your personal contacts." - bryan kim

"The 40-seat Archer and Goat serves cuisine inspired by Puerto Rican, Ecuadorian, and Bengali traditions alongside a broad beer selection and cocktails like an ancho chile-spiked mezcal sipper. Its food includes a burger slathered in queso blanco and sofrito ketchup, chicken vindaloo arepas, and carne asada with tostones." - Kayla Stewart
