Where to Find Houston’s Best Dim Sum | Eater Houston

"Family-owned and operated by chef Mr. Guo, this beloved Cantonese restaurant has served Houston for the past 15 years, offering moderately-priced dim sum daily until 4 p.m. in an elegant, crystal-chandeliered setting. Regulars swear by the fresh, sweet taste and texture of the shrimp-based dim sum, including its iconic fried shrimp egg rolls and fried crab claws. Desserts like sesame balls, custard tarts, and mango pudding are also excellent. As impressive as its 1,000-bottle wine inventory is, the restaurant also allows for BYOB with corkage." - Minh Truong

August 2025 We passed by this location for many years finally got to visit. Not very welcoming front counter. Not a good idea for first impressions. However, nice and comfortable dining room. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our DimSum orders. Not sure why the steam buns crack, due to freezer burn perhaps? Other than that, very flavorful flat noodles with beef and broccoli. One of best, I have tried. Great sauce over the wok fried flat noodle. I was truly impressed. We will return order from the menu instead. My rating 5 as very satisfied Taste 4/5 Temperature 5/5 Cleanliness 4/5 tidy up the front please. Attentiveness and courteous 5/5 Speed of service 4/5

Google
Arco Seafood is my go-to for dim sum. The food is fresh and service is quick, making it a solid choice. However, the decor feels dated and could use a refresh. Overall, a great spot for tasty dim sum!

Google
The food was good. the food met the price and had good service. in order, I think the foods that are best are: sweet-and-sour beef, chicken bao, tofu , flounder The ambience was quiet and formal. The one call is that the server does not know how to speak English.

Google
Absolutely one of the best Asian restaurants I've eaten food from. There are two menus one with photos and one without. I'm not fluent in any Asian language so I'd recommend asking for the photo menu. That being said I asked a staff member tins of questions and took his recommendations. The food here is amazing. Everything we ate was cooked so perfectly and seasoned just right. We tried quite a few dishes because everything sounded so good. I highly suggest peppered beef and basil chicken. Not only is the food terrific but so is the service. The staff members were all so kind, helpful, and quick to assist us either by refilling our glasses or removing empty plates, we never really had to ask for anything because they asked us first.

A very authentic Guangzhou restaurant with good service! Chrysanthemum Pu‘er tea is amazing. The foods here are also very good. Dim-sum is very tasty too. The most recommended is Citi ginseng stewed chicken soup.. loll

Google
Drove 3 hrs for my Dad to have an authentic Chinese food — Arco Seafood is our first stop and it didn’t disappoint — mapo tofu, fried noodles, lotus root, steamed fish with black beans.

Google
The menu is not varied, just basic dimsum selection but taste really good, not oily, and light. The smell of soy sauce is not too strong as most restaurants do (for instance the chicken feet is so tasty and not salty at all). Families, even, old people eat here, so it should be legit.

Yelp
So many restaurants to pick from in China town and I picked a good one!!!! Woot woot! There is plenty of parking because it is in a huge shopping center. We went for dinner. The seating area isn't big but not small.... Like 8 small tables and 4 huge tables and 2 party rooms. They have a wine closet. We tried to pick things that looked delicious in the pictures (yes the menu has pictures) and what Yelp people recommended. There were some big parties and we were afraid we wouldn't get to order or get our food but once we ordered our food came out fast! I would definitely come back again!

Yelp
Service was 5 stars Food was There's clutter/boxes right at the front so that was Messing with my ocd. Tried ha gow which was ok Taro fried puff....questionable Beef noodle roll was good Shrimp noodle roll was great..best dish here. Fried crab claw was actual crab n had meat on it compared to the rinky dinky finger claw used at ocean palace and many other dim sum spots. Overall good. Tried the soup filled dumplings comes with 6, but it wasn't my favorite. Tried the mango pudding dessert...but it doesn't taste like mango....it tastes like the stuff in the Asian jelly straws.... I do want to go back and try some other dishes next time.

Yelp
Service and time to wait to be served or even get food is a 1...if that. It made a 3 because the food is decent and it's clean. We've been here before and the last time I was there I said I wouldn't come again bc we waited over 30 min to get order taken and almost an hour for food. We had asked the server several times when the food would come and he yelled it's coming! Later we found out that the order was never even placed This time we got in and order was taken quicker. It was not busy and many tables were open. However it took almost 30 min before we got broccoli and waited another 20 min for a couple buns. The servers, male and female, instead of excusing them selves pushed their body while shooing us to the side with their hand to pick up or place down food. At one point the waiter pushed so much she made the water tip over bc she was rushing and water went all over the table and part of the food. She didn't apologize or bring new dish. It's chaotic and slow service and the servers clearly don't care about anything or anyone. I won't come again.

Yelp
Stop by for a demo, so I'm on a weekday afternoon, and enjoyed our time here! The dishes came out in a timely manner, and the inside was very clean and pristine. Servers were nice and attentive, constantly filling our waters and taking up dishes.the tofu was very flavorful, one of my favorite dishes that we ordered. However, the soup dumpling is were below average and rather small. Would recommend ordering traditional dim sum dishes aside from the soup dumplings.

Yelp
The dim sum is the best! I love the all picture menu. This is one of my favorite dim sum places. The food is piping hot and delicious. The service is ok for an Asian restaurant in Chinatown.

Yelp
Their family style dishes were nut allergy friendly! A very family style restaurant, I went with a group of 11 people for a holiday dinner. They have a curated "prix fixe" menu for the holidays that consists of a 9 course meal. There are some private tables in the back that fit around 10-12 people. All of the food was pretty good. I would say the highlights are the Peking Duck, the Lobster, and the Yee Mein w/ Abalone. We didn't get any white rice or water on the table, but I think someone could have asked. The tea with the meal was very smooth and flavorful as well. Overall a lovely place for their family style meal if you can get the private room.

Yelp
Great higher end seafood restaurant in the Bellaire family that is great for family dinners. We go here all the time for family style meals. Good food and classic Chinese restaurant ambiance. Price is on the higher side for typical dishes in the area but still good. Service is adequate.

Yelp
We came here for a dim sum lunch because of all the great reviews we saw. However, when we got there, it was nothing short of horrible. When we first tried to get our party in line at the entrance, the lady completely ignored us. After waiting and getting seated, no service such as asking for drinks was given, and instead, we had to ask the waiters for a pot of tea ourselves. We ordered and no food came out for about 45 minutes. After our first dish came out, it took about another 30 minutes for the rest to come. Again, waiters were standing around doing nothing this entire time, not even going around and refilling drinks even though multiple tables were out. We came in at 12:45 P.M. and left at 3 P.M. From observing, I could see that this restaurant treats their customers differently. I noticed that their "VIP" customers in the restaurant's special rooms received great service with all their dishes delivered hot. Meanwhile in the main dining room, other tables received the complete opposite. I don't know what the deal is with the management and waiters of this restaurant, but from the quality of the food and service, it seems like this type of behavior has been going on for a while. I highly do not recommend this place for any type of occasion. Food Review: - Chinese Broccoli: cold and barely any sauce on top - Pan Fried Noodle Roll with XO Sauce (as seen in the picture): bland, cold, and had half-cooked onions that were extremely bitter - Steamed BBQ Pork Bun: mostly just dough that came out raw, barely any meat in the middle, bland, and cold - Rice Noodle Roll with Dried Shrimp: came out cold, bland, and barely any soy sauce was given with the dish - Siu Mai and Ha Cao: the only two dishes that came out slightly warm, but only tasted okay

Yelp
We always love coming here and are regulars throughout the year. From gnoshing just the two of us to large 13+ people family dinners, there's a good time to be had here. The manager and staff here are always very nice and friendly. Take a minute to ask how they're doing, and like just about anyone, they'll return the courtesy with kindness. A few of our favorite dishes: Typhoon Shelter Eggplants - great fish to eat there, not as great as takeaway unless you live/work close by. Crispy, airy, and packs a Tyson-like uppercut of flavor. Tamago Tofu - a silky smooth, almost buttery tofu that is just brilliant over rice. Fried sweet and sour fish - fried to perfection after a scalloped-style filet job to maximize the crunch, then add the sweet and tangy sauce. Pro tip...eat the fins too, when fried like this, they're like tater chips. Crab and rice steamed in lotus leaf - a little pricy, but worth it. Fresh dungeon was crab wrapped in rice and seasoning, in a Christmas pouch of lotus leaf which imparts a delicate flavor to the whole dish. Salt and pepper shishamo - a sardine-like fish fried whole and eaten whole, tossed in a savory salt and pepper concoction. The bits of onion, scallion, and garlic on this dish is heavenly over hot rice. If eating whole little fish is too adventurous for you, try the squid or pork rib versions instead. Lamb with black pepper - if you like lamb, get this dish. It's like the black pepper beef in a lot of restaurants, but has that extra hot of flavor from good quality lamb meat. They do charge you a nominal amount for each serving of rice, which I honestly don't mind. I hate wasting anything, especially food. So this is a great way to pay just for what you eat.

Yelp
So many people recommended Arco Seafood Restaurant 东海海鲜酒家 for a fancy dinner setting. Before I bring people here, I need to check it out myself. On my first visit, I ordered a Cordyceps Flower Pork Ribs Soup 虫草花排骨汤, egg tarts 蛋挞, soupy dumplings 小笼汤包 and a pot of chrysanthemum tea 菊花茶. Egg tarts were warm and flaky. I believe they were freshly baked. Soup was very flavorful and it had tender pork chunks. Dumplings got me wonder. The shape was like small pointy hats. And, the wrap was doughy and kind thick for me. I can taste the soup as I bit into them. But I can't produce the flow to show you. In my honest opinion, Arco has the top-of-the-line seafood dim sum variety. Normally, you can get dim sum for $15 per person on the average in Chinatown. But the quality and experience are noticeably different. To bring my friends to a new restaurant, I pay close attention to details. First stop, I visited the WC (vocabulary for wash closet in Hong Kong). The restroom was clean and feel more luxurious than other restaurants in Chinatown. Then, the décor has a close resemblance of a traditional Hong Kong dim sum restaurant. Finally, I looked around for customers expressions. They all seem to enjoy the food, because I did. On my second visit, I ordered from the Dim Sum Menu. I was really curious about Salted Egg Custard Bun 流沙包 and Rice Noodle Roll w/Abalone Sauce 鲍鱼肠粉; I also ordered the jumbo abalone chicken clay pot soup from daily special menu as recommended by the waitress on my first visit. Ok. abalone was not big, but the soup was fantastic. It sure worth my $13.95. Custard bun was out the steamer. So, the filling was really hot, salty, sweet and runny. Rice Noodles was fresh but the sauce barely coated every surface. Because of the freshness and common interest of the other dishes, I decided to host my first party here. It was a very memorable one. Because Arco has the dishes that people are familiar with and they are made fresh. Service was pretty good. I am still learning their names. My favorite waitress is 阿珍 and I'll be sure to ask for her next time.

Yelp
Family friends recommended Arco and we decided to give it a try over Labor Day weekend for dim sum + some regular menu items. The service leaves much to be desired. When we arrived mid-day there was a line of people and no one had taken names to start a waiting list for seating. It was apparent that you needed to be in line to hold your (and your party's place). After a 20 min wait we were seated at a large table and waited another 20 minutes to place an order. That's where the service started to run in the opposite direction. It was weekend dim sum so we marked what we wanted on a single page (pictured), and it all came ... within 10 minutes of each other. Between our dim sum dishes and regular menu dishes, our table was over flowing and chaotic. Once our table's lazy susan was full, they continued to bring dishes and put them on the table between diners, wherever there was room. There was no checking in to see how we were enjoying the food of if we needed a refill on water or to bring us any rice for our entrees. Dim sum stars were the eggplant, fried tofu with shrimp, and egg tarts. We were excited to try the soup dumplings (placed 2 orders); they were missing soup and had thick wrappers, more like a dumpling than anything special. The Peking duck was good but not as great as Peking Cuisine. After all dishes had been around the lazy Susan a few times and they could see some empty plates, they brought the check. Hmm .. thank you? Our search for the best dim sum in Houston continues.

Yelp
Arco Seafood restaurant is located on the same side as Hmart in Bellaire. I only started going there in the last year or so. For some reason, my extended family always chose to go elsewhere, so it was never in my radar. Unlike other dim sum places, this place serves it all day, not just weekends, and you fill out what you want instead of hoping for what you want to come by. Hot tea in a tiny cup is a must if you eat dim sum, plus it's refillable. I'm pretty basic when it comes to dim sum, so I usually just get the Shrimp Ball, Rolled Shrimp, Har Gow and Taro. The egg tarts are pretty good here too. I thought the service was decent. I've never had to wait for a table either, but there was a line forming by the time I left. Overall, solid spot if you are craving some dim sum.

Yelp
What happened?? Used to be my staple for food. Haven't gone back for 3 mos because of the increase in menu food prices and the dishes shrinking in size. Well, went back today still had their managers from before. However, menu changed. No pictures like the menu before. Got some dim sum ...cha siu bao very little meat. The siu mai ok use corn instead of masago. The seafood fried noodle ok scallops old and chewy so did not eat it. I really think they got a new chef and maybe dim sum chef only coming on weekends. The table and everything else is clean. Not sure if I will be coming back until things change.

Yelp
As always, this place delivered. Ended up coming here for dinner on a weekend. It gets busy but food is worth it and service is always excellent. The sweet and sour fish is a favorite, it's beautifully presented with its sliced fried fillets and red sauce. Crispy, soft, and very satisfying. Tried something new this time, the crab special. It's a large plate of fried rice with big pieces of crab, including legs to crack open full of meat. It was quite tasty and fun to eat. Definitely a nice portion especially with the rice.

Yelp
We were out looking to try a new restaurant, and found ARCO, and what a find it was, absolutely positively one of the best restaurants around. The team here is amazing, and friendly. The flavors are just second to none. The basil fried rice, what can I say, if you like basil this is an over the top hit all day long. Fried ribs a delicious delight with it own flavor profile, and the salt and pepper squid, just awesome. What a dining experience I'm Houston.

Yelp
Our favorite Chinese restaurant in Houston. The Beef Chow Fun is excellent. Sweet and sour pork is awesome ( I know American Chinese Food) I always order black bean chicken with white onions and green beans(not on menu ask and they will make). Oh so good! Jason is great.

Yelp
I have been here twice. Once for Dim Sum lunch, and second time for family style dinner. The place is not very big, but it does have some large tables for big groups. which is great. Fortunately, both times I came my family was able to get a table immediately. The staff was attentive and friendly. The do seemed pretty rushed though since their restaurant seems to stay busy. For the dim sum food items, we liked the Xiu Mai, Shrimp Rice Noodle, Pan Fried Turnip Cake and Crab Claw. The prices were overall OK except the Crab Claw was pricey at $10. The dishes we did not like were the Steamed Chicken Feet and Salt Egg Yolk Bun. We just didn't like the flavoring of the Chicken Feet. The dough on the outside of the Salt Egg Yolk Bun was too dense, hard and chewy like paper was stuck on it even though we did remove the bottom piece of liner paper already. For dinner, we ordered the Salt Toasted Softshell Crab, Mapo Tofu, Lamb with Black Pepper and Spicy Chicken. The entrées came with plenty of white rice. You just need to let the staff know how many rice bowls you want. We appreciate the staff refilling our waters regularly since my kids drink a lot of water when they eat. We had great experiences here and look forward to returning again.

Yelp
In my top 3 dim sum places in Houston - you won't leave disappointed! You know it's real Chinese food when the wait staff ignores you. Every time I've gone I did have to work a bit to flag down the waiter. I don't mind when the food is so outstanding. The regular menu has pictures, so it's easy to order from!
google avatar

Yelp
Great spot for dim sum off Bellaire, a place not very crowded or maybe known? Dining room is a bit small and the food is ordered off a sheet of paper, not by bringing a cart around. The food is fresh, tasty, and much better than other dim sum restaurants in Houston. Definitely a gem of a place and you can taste the authenticity of the food. Only downside, don't expect that good of a service. I had multiple questions, no answers. Couldn't get iced water. I ordered the soup dumplings, maybe one of the worst I had. The soup was missing, tasted like it came from a box. I tried to tell the waitresses but she basically said, shut up and eat it. Also never got the wrapped Chinese donut dim sum dish. Rude service. The tip we left, reflected that.

Yelp
Waiters profile customers hardcore. Garbo status earned. Yes I'm Chinese but F this ownership.

Yelp
On Christmas Day, we got there a little after 11 am. It was pretty full, but we were able to get a booth. The tea arrived and was refilled within the 40 minutes it took for the first dish to arrive. Usually it doesn't take that long, but since the (2) large tables were full and had ordered a lot of food, we understood there would be a delay. The tea did start loosing flavor after the 3rd fill. The service was nice and relaxing. In comparison to Crown Seafood on Christmas Day a few years ago, where they clean the table off and set the new table for the next diner while you're still sitting down, it was nice not to be pushed out the door. Dishes were picked up in a timely and not rushed manner. The Grass carp fillets porridge had plump pieces of fish with ginger shreds in it. The sharp ginger flavor was nicely prominent in the bites with it. The Egg Custard Tarts (3 per order) are classic and eggy. The bbq pork pastry was flaky, meaty and sweet. The pan fried spiced rice noodle roll was a stir-try rice noodle dish mixed with XO and chili oil. It was yummy and brought variety to the table. The Rice noodle roll with beef (green herb mixed in) was like a rice noodle with a long steamed meatball in it. I thought it was going to be strips of beef. The deep-fried taro dumplings are the usual. The rice noodle roll with shrimp is the usual with a more salty sauce, which I like, in comparison to Kim Son's version. The rice rolls were kind of lukewarm this time. The steamed shrimp dumpling and Siu Mai are usual though the wrappers were a little drier than usual. The salted egg custard bun (3 per order) were small and cute. The bread was bouncy but the crumbs weren't as moist as I expected. The salted egg custard filling was creamy. The Deep-fried shrimp ball (phoenix) were covered with strips of spring roll wrapper and came with a sweet-chili dipping sauce.

Yelp
came here despite all the reviews on poor service but wanted to try it out for myself. sadly I have to agree. very poor customer service -- had to remind them to refill teas, water, more napkins the restaurant it self is quite smaller than most other dim sum places but they were quite busy. we waited 15-20 minutes for a table and there was always a wait. the food was either very salty or very bland -- no in between. things to notate: -the rice noodles were extra thick compared to most dim sum places. -short ribs lacked flavor and was extra fatty -the fried items were really greasy nothing spectacular. the food was expensive for quality we got. I will not return

Yelp
Let me start with the fact that the food here is excellent! However, I hope people would avoid any undue difficulties as we experienced due to technology. Please learn from our mistake! If you order a large amount online through the website, call them to confirm that the order went through. Do NOT trust any confirmations that you may receive. I would love to give Arco a five star rating but their website became a 200$ order issue. When we walked in the staff told us the website does not work! That's not the time to learn a website doesn't work. Anyways, let's end on a good note for those who read. The food is great here! Pan Fried Turnip Cake Salt and Pepper Squid Shrimp Dumplings Siu Mai Chinese Banquet Dinner

Yelp
Was a little disappointed that the sign says "Everyday dim sum" yet when we tried to order it wasn't available. Not a big deal as their menu is filled with tons of other items. It's family-style so portions are generous and the price is perfect. From our order the things I would recommend are 1. Sweet & Sour Fish 2. House Fried Rice 3. Chicken Corn soup I'm knocking some stars off because our server could've been a lot nicer when taking our order and the dimsum was not available. I was afraid they would use MSG in our food, but after all we ate nobody in our party had that sluggish feeling after eating food with a lot of MSG. With the options in the area it seems to be hit or miss with this place, but I'd recommend it but maybe call ahead to see if they have dim sum the day you are going.

Yelp
I use to come here quite frequently. Use to be one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. But nowadays food is average. Service is average. Ambiance is average. Maybe I'll give it one more chance.

Yelp
Their shrimp fried rice with basil changed my life! I am convinced I will never have fried rice as good as it was that day and I'm a little upset about it lol. I live in Austin and I've already decided that everything I go to Houston, I will stop at Arco for fried rice (I sincerely hope that wasn't a fluke and that it always tastes that way). My friends and I went there for lunch and ordered a bunch of food for the table but our fried rice never came. By the time we noticed and reminded them, we were mostly full and had decided to take a few spoonfuls for the hell of it and take the rest home... little did we know that in minutes, we would finish the plate and sit there picking grains of rice to make sure we left NOTHING! It was so freaking delicious! We also had chicken feet, birds nest shrimp balls, fried crab claw, steamed pork rib (I think), seafood porridge and a pastry I don't remember. It was all incredibly well done and yummy. I will certainly go here again. Per usual, the best way to enjoy dimsum is to get a group, minimum 4, so you can order and try a bunch of things. All of this cost only a total of $60 so $15 per person, before tips, and we were all very full! The restaurant is also cozy, but in a way that makes you feel like you are in a fine dining establishment.

Yelp
Over priced food, not recommend. Service is just OK. We ordered I steamed fish, but not fresh enough.

Yelp
This Chinese spot is a good bet for peking duck which is exactly what I've ordered every time I come here. I believe they were one of the higher priced locations in town when ranked by a local news article several years ago, but the quality is superb and they have decent service too. Their peking duck is even more expensive now, currently around $45, but still delicious as ever. They don't give you any bones either on your sliced pieces. They bring out a nice platter of sliced green onions, hoisin sauce and sliced cucumbers. None of the other restaurants serving peking duck I've been to bring cucumbers. Of course you will receive a large bowl of duck soup with this dish. Their other cantonese dishes are pretty good as well. I particularly enjoyed the cumin lamb with black pepper.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time today for lunch because we wanted dim sum. We had to wait for a table for a few minutes. Service was great, the food came out fast and a lot quicker than I had anticipated. Nonetheless it was fresh, hot and delicious. The hot tea was good and my water stayed refilled the entire time. The restaurant looked clean and nice. The salt & pepper squid was fresh and loaded with onions & peppers. The shumai & har gow came out quickly and was hot. Can't go wrong with the egg custard bun for dessert! I recommend this place if you're seeking a new dim sum spot.

Yelp
A very lovely restaurant. Had a wonderful lunch. I enjoyed all the different flavors and textures of the Dim Sung,

Yelp
Use to be one of my favorite spots for Chinese food... recently visited and staff was rude and had a horrible attitude. No service... many items on the menu were either not available or the chef did not feel like cooking it. You got to be kidding me. We ended up walking off and going to House of Bowls. Employees seemed happy we left. Sometimes maybe bad, sometimes maybe shit.

Yelp
Great for dim sum. I always appreciate when I can describe the dim sum I like and the staff help you identify it on the menu. Love the stuffed eggplant and the pork egg rolls. The prawn dumplings are always plump and tasty. A real treat!!! Can take a little while to get a table but it is worth the wait.

Yelp
Pretty great food and wonderful service! Our server was very kind and was attentive to our needs. He came by to re-fill our waters often and made sure we had enough rice. He had a great attitude and we felt very welcomed! My parents and I like to come here every now and then, and they don't disappoint. My father and I came by around 3 PM, not many people in there because it was pretty late in the afternoon to be eating lunch. They were still serving lunch specials, so we ordered three main dishes along with two bowls of the Papaya Fish Soup. Papaya Fish Soup- Two bowls, the bowls were a bit small but were filled to the rim. The flavors were very delicious, the ginger blended very well with the papaya, no hint of sweetness, they do a very good job with blending their flavors. If you drink it too quickly, you'll feel the burn of the ginger in your mouth. I was very happy with the soup, just wished I had more. Pan Fried Egg Noodle with BBQ Pork- Can't really go wrong with this dish. There was a pretty generous portion, the meat was juicy and tender. The bean sprouts add a nice crunch to it. It was pretty oily, but not overwhelming. Beef Brisket Curry- The curry was sweeter than I thought it'd be, but it was still pretty good. I wish the onions were cooked a bit more thoroughly. It was still pretty tough and left the raw onion taste in my mouth. The bit of the onion was between war and kinda of cooked through, so when you bit into it, it wouldn't be a cutting-through nite, you'd have to chew it a couple of times for it to fall apart. The meat was all very tender and didn't take too long to chew; the flavor held out pretty well. My favorite part were the potatoes. They were so soft, none of it was deformed or fell apart when it was presented to us, it was perfectly soft to where it melted in your mouth. Salt and Pepper Squid- Perfectly crispy when it first came out, and stayed that way throughout our meal. In some other places with the salt and pepper squid, it comes out kind of crispy and then will lose its crunch, but not here. It wasn't too oily, and the flavors were pretty well-balanced. They gave us a bowl of rice per person. I enjoy places that give you just enough rice to enjoy the meal, but not an overwhelming amount to where you feel like you need to finish it all or take it home. They put the focus on their main dishes, not just the rice. However, even if it's one bowl, they make sure you have enough to eat with your meal if you'd like more.

Yelp
Fantastic fried rice. First time try this, amazing! The fish roe perfectly match the rice. Love it!

Yelp
All day dim sum! I had not heard of this place but it came recommended by a friend for dim sum. We were scared it was going to be overcrowded and were very pleased upon our arrival. It was very spaced out inside and people were separated correctly. The host and people working there were also very polite and greated us promptly. Overall, their dim sum was pretty good and consistent. The best dim sum pieces were the BBQ pork buns, turnips, fried shrimp ball and shrimp noodles. The siu mai was tasty but very filling. The soup dumplings had incredible flavor but lacked soup. Overall, I was very pleased with the overall experience and will look to return. I want to try the seafood dinner options.

Yelp
We came here early for lunch on a weekday with empty bellies and left with full round tummies! Pros - offer dim sum and family style dishes - they have pictures on their menu because who doesn't like seeing the food they're about to order? - reasonable food portions - chairs are quite comfortable to sit in - spacing of the tables are reasonable, you don't feel crowded even with all the tables are filled - service was efficient and fast: they filled our tea on time and cleaned off our tables - you can ask if they have a off menu items that are common Chinese dishes, and they can make it for you! - have sauces for you to mix to create your own personal dipping sauce for dim sum Cons - some of the dishes were a bit too salty (eg. pepper steak) - we asked for hot water and they put it in glasses instead of mugs making it difficult to drink out of

Yelp
Saw an Asian food blogger that recommended this place so had to try it. Ordered the Crab over fried rice and it was soo amazing. Crab was sweet and firm, the fried rice was was fragrant and Smokey. Absolutely delicious highly reccommend this place if you are in the Houston China town area. Service was great too very nice!

Yelp
Located in a strip mall. Looks a little sketch outside but the service and seafood are so good!! You have to order a little off the menu. They make the best garlic steamed king crab as well as fried fish. It's a good place for a family meal as the plates are meant to be shared.

Yelp
Horrible costumer service. One waitress was extremely rude to us. I understand things can be frustrating, but don't take it out on the customers.

Yelp
I took my parents here for dinner because they raved about this place. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The menu is extensive, but not as cheap as the rest of bellaire, but the food is good. LOBSTER WITH BLACK PEPPER This was one of the best lobster dishes I've had. The lobster meat was so flavorful and the texture was on point. It wasn't soggy or rubbery. It was perfect. The salt and pepper flavors really shined through and it was very aromatic. FISH EGG FRIED RICE I didn't know if I would like this dish, but I was pleasantly surprised. The fish egg added a nice poppy texture to the dish and the fried rice was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. STEAMED BBQ PORK BUN The bun itself was airy and soft, which complemented the pork because it was meaty. GARLIC SNOW PEA SHOOTS I love this dish. The snow peas were cooked perfectly and still had a crisp when you bite into it and the garlic was prevalent. FLAT NOODLE WITH BEEF The flavor was on point. The noodle was soft and there is a slight smoky flavor. I will definitely come back here. Food is great and service is good.

Yelp
Food tasted pretty good, my only reason why it's a 3-star and not a 4-star is because of the price you pay. The prices are quite high (pretty much 10+ more for a dish), but sometimes the quantity of the food you get is not what you pay for. Parking is not too bad (but gotta fight the others coming in to the same Chinatown supermarket area). The service and staff are okay (sometimes we have to ask them for water or for extra utensils/napkins/etc.), and the food is pretty average like any other Chinatown restaurant in the area. The only reason why we came here is because my uncle knows the owner (I think) of the restaurant, and my grandmother likes this place, so seniority rules and they get to choose where to go to eat. Some highlights of dishes that I enjoyed were the Walnut Shrimp, Mao Po Tofu, Peking Duck and Eggplant in Meat Sauce

Yelp
This place has been here a long time and the food has always been consistently good. This is one of the higher end places to eat in China town.

Yelp
TL;DR Solid dim sum; dinner is a little more variable (as in you need to know which dishes to order) ---FOOD: Shrimp dumplings (5 stars): Succulent shrimp dumplings with a lot of shrimp and a thin yet substantial wrapping. XO Turnip Cake (5 stars): Wonderfully crisp exterior, pleasantly soft and slightly gooey interior with the smokiness, spice, and sweetness from the XO sauce. Addicting! Tamako with Vegetable (4.5 stars): Really custardy rounds of tofu with fresh bok choy in a brown sauce. So yum. Chicken feet (4 stars): A classic executed well although a touch too sweet. Fried Bean Curd Sheet Roll with Meat (4 stars): Also delicious, but also a touch too oily and sweet. ---EXPERIENCE: Like with many Chinese restaurants, it helps if you can speak Chinese to communicate with the waitress and to understand the menu fully. That being said, though, the waitresses are friendly enough and attentive. The restaurant is also respectably clean. I would return. Date visited: 2/10/19

Yelp
Black pepper Lobster is very good. Same goes for string beans. I well go a bit after lunch rush so it's not so loud and crowded.

Yelp
Came here for dim sum, and definitely not one of my favorite dim sum spots. They name the menu items really weird so unless you can read Chinese it's really hard to tell what you're ordering. We had to ask the waiter 5 separate times to bring over rice because he kept forgetting. I only liked the xiu mai, everything else was just okay. The biggest disappointment was the pan fried turnip cake, it had a very weird texture compared to other restaurants where I've had that same dish.

Yelp
CHECK YOUR TAKEOUT FOOD BEFORE YOU GO HOME. We ordered $105 worth of lobster and crab for pickup and when we got home, we were surprised to find a measly amount of seafood in our takeout containers. There was barely any crab and lobster and the lobster looked like it wasn't cooked fully. This is totally unacceptable. Such a ripoff. Never ordering from here again.

Yelp
First visit. The duck was delicious! The other dishes we tried, chicken and nuts, beef with Chinese broccoli, eggplant, and orange chicken were not very tasty, but yes, I would go back for the duck! Happy Yelping!

Yelp
Underrated Chinese restaurant in Bellaire! I like coming here for lunch with my coworkers because the food is great and the atmosphere is more on the upscale side for Chinese restaurant. Dishes are not too cheap but they all taste great. I always get the sweet and sour fish. The sauce tastes delicious and goes well with the lobster tail fried rice. Clam dish is also good. I didn't get to take a photo of snow pea leaves but it was really good and I couldn't stop eating it. I took out one star because the seafood noodles that we ordered came out too late, when we were almost done eating and it didn't come out until we paid for our table. The server kept telling us the dish is coming out but it took about 20 min for us to get it. Wish they just told us sooner that they haven't started cooking it so that we could just cancel it instead of having to get it to go. All the other dishes came out fast, so it was overall pleasant experience.
