"As the first hotel to open in Wynwood, this art-filled oasis leans into the neighborhood’s mural culture: the exterior features work by Miami artist Hoxxoh and there are roughly 250 pieces of contemporary art throughout public spaces and rooms. I liked the 9th-floor rooftop pool and cocktail bar with skyline views, plus the hotel’s weekly programming—comedy nights, fitness classes—and the co-working-style lounges with a pool table and yoga deck. It’s not heavy on frills (there’s no room service), but I appreciated thoughtful touches like complimentary fortune cookies in rooms and bicycles for exploring the area." - Jessica Chapel

"Chef David Robbins’ travels inspire the menu at the restaurant inside the Arlo Wynwood Hotel, with global dishes from Peru to Polynesia that use locally sourced items like produce from Paradise farms, kombucha from Counter Culture, and herbs grown at the hotel’s third-floor herb garden. The venue also offers a weekday happy hour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m." - Laine Doss

"Miami offers affordable flights and accommodations. Enjoy free beaches and outdoor activities, but plan to manage food and entertainment costs."

"The first hotel to open in the emerging Miami neighborhood of Wynwood is a familiar name from New York and Miami Beach: Arlo Wynwood Miami is not a cult Sixties folk singer but an outpost of the up-and-coming boutique hotel group, joining the three Arlos in Manhattan and the related Nautilus in Miami Beach. Like its siblings it’s a design-focused, youth-oriented hotel, and it adds a bit of extra color, in a tribute to its Arts District location." - Mark Fedeli

"The first hotel to officially open in Wynwood, Miami’s graffiti-clad neighborhood that’s now home to dozens of galleries, shops and restaurants—the splashy Arlo is an art-filled oasis that seeks to strike a balance between being a splashy getaway and a vibrant urban hotel. The hotel’s aesthetic draws on the neighborhood’s high concentration of street art with the property's exterior walls featuring works by Miami-based artist Hoxxoh, and 250 pieces of contemporary art positioned throughout the public spaces and guest rooms. There’s an inviting 9th floor rooftop pool with a cocktail bar and views of the Miami skyline. The hotel also strives to be a hub of activity for its guests with weekly programming like comedy nights, fitness classes and space devoted to loungey co-working environments with a pool table and a yoga deck. While the hotel is lacking in certain frills (like no room service) there are also thoughtful touches like complimentary fortune cookies in the rooms with unique fortunes and bicycles for guests to explore the neighborhood." - Sara Liss, Jennifer M.
