"“You’ll have nobody to blame but yourself.” It’s what your mother might say to you every time you’re in danger of missing a flight, and it’s what you should tell yourself if you don’t get the feijoada at Aroma Brazil. Like all of the ready-to-eat dishes at this Jackson Heights spot, the feijoada is part of a DIY buffet. So if you prefer your feijoada smoky and meaty, you can fill your plate with fatty beef and sausage that snaps when you bite into it, or if you want a lighter version, then bypass the meat for an extra dousing of sweet, acidic broth. Either way, make a pitstop at the churrasco station in the back, and hope that they have beef ribs spinning over the grill." - Neha Talreja, Matt Tervooren

Google
Pretty good spot. I've been spoiled by an amazing Brazilian buffet spot in Astoria so it's gonna be hard for the others to reach the level of excellence that one had but the focus is on this one I went to today. While not the best I've ever had, I've haven't been to a bad one yet and this one is pretty good. A good number of options to choose from, I dig the overall atmosphere of the place and the food is affordable with a decent size of food along with a soda ranging around $15. I would come back here after I've sampled close to every Brazilian spot in the city.

I was texting with my Brazilian friend, and then by accident I passed this Brazilian restaurant. The food is amazing! The picanha melts in your mouth. The lady and chef were very friendly. I can definitely reccomend this lovely restaurant!

Absolutely delicious!! The food was fantastic and the service was kind. My husband is Brazilian and is very picky about Brazilian food in the US. This place did not disappoint! Will come back

Google
I liked it a lot, first time there. The buffet has a great selection. See the pics. The salmon was really good. The ribs have a sauce to die for. The shrimp salad was awesome. The rice and pasta dishes were really good.

This is our 2nd time here. It’s a Brazilian style BBQ and price by weight. We love BBQ and once we gave this place a try, it was a great choice. We came back for the second time, the food is still very consistent. We got BBQ items from the BBQ corner. There are over 10 items to choose from. We then got some more from the buffet line. After done, we went to the cashier, weight our food, paid and Voila! Great Food, Good Service and Decent Price!!! This made the list of our regular spot for BBQ.

Google
Stumbled upon them by accident but I’m so glad I did. It smelled amazing. Customer service was very nice. The place was clean and the buffet had so many fresh options. I loved the decor. I will definitely be coming back for a sit down. The food is delicious!!

Google
Great stop for a quick bite. Wonderfully prepared meats and salads served churrascoria and buffet style. A ton of choices at a great price. This is really a perfect fit if you are eating a keto diet!!

Yelp
Disappointing Experience - Quality and Freshness Gone I had high hopes for this Brazilian buffet, but unfortunately, my recent visit left me utterly disappointed. The first thing that struck me was the absolute lack of freshness. The food on the buffet table seemed as if it had been sitting out for hours without any supervision or replenishment. The meats, a staple of any respectable Brazilian buffet, were dry, flavorless, and borderline inedible. The side dishes were even worse--wilted salads, cold rice, and stale bread that tasted like it had been sitting out since morning. What's even more concerning is that there was no one overseeing the buffet. For a place that's supposed to pride itself on its variety and freshness, it felt as though the staff had completely abandoned their duties. Dishes that should have been hot were lukewarm at best, and there was no attempt to rotate or refresh the items on display. A buffet should be a celebration of abundance and quality, but what I experienced was far from that. I regret spending my time and money here, and unless significant changes are made, I won't be returning.

Yelp
Aroma is a delicious place with something for everybody! We loved our visit to Aroma. We got a take-out buffet lunch, and the selection was solid. The best part though easily was getting some of the fresh picanha steak. I still think about how juicy and flavorful that picanha was--honestly some of the best I ever had! I'm the type of person who likes having a lot of side dishes when eating steak, particularly vegetables, so I loved having all of the options at Aroma to balance out our meal. The staff were very nice when we visited too, and they were happy to explain some of the dishes. All in all, I highly recommend coming to Aroma!

Yelp
AROMA BRAZIL it's been my favorite restaurant in Jackson Heights . If you eat healthy or not , you will always have options , and the BBQ in the window next at the end of the buffet is Amazing . Lots of meats . I recommend this place , super clean and the staff is super friendly .

Yelp
Food is average. Salad bar isn't fresh. There are good alternative options in Astoria

Martin Q.

Yelp
This is my spot if I want something healthy and filling. If you're eating gluten free or paleo, etc. you cam eat delicious meat, fish and veggies for a reasonable price. Everything is very good.

Yelp
Got take out. Top Sirloin was a great hearty portion with very tender meat. Beans and salad were simple sides but very tasty and well prepared.

Erica F.

Yelp
How far they have come from the first time I came here. The variety is much better and the flavor of the food is a lot bette than last I been there. the staff is friendly and they make sure you get all you need for your meal. there is no parking lot here so it is a street parking kind of deal. it is located at a busy street so parking can get to be challenging around here. the food here is a buffet by weight so you pick your choices and weight to pay what is on your plate. the have a great variety of Brazilian sodas and deserts as well. I will be coming back here more often since the place is perfect when I am hungry so do not have to wait for short order cooking and I can just go ahead and serve myself and start eating right away. the only down thing here is that I find the prices a little too expensive but overall it is a good deal for a nice BBQ Brazilian restaurant.

Yelp
I stopped in for dinner on a Friday night. There were tables in the front and the buffet was towards the back. Everything was clean and organized. I was pleasantly surprised by the buffet. There were so many options to choose from. Different roasted meats like steak, pot roast and roasted pork loin. You could also get choices of meats from a window where you could pick what you want. There were different fish options like tilapia and salmon. As sides there was rice, potato salad, cole slaw, etc. There were also salads and desserts. The food was paid per the pound. For my whole meal I paid $10.30. It was plenty of food. I would definitely return again!

Yelp
The atmosphere was nice and cozy, and the food selection was incredible. A must-visit for anyone in the area.

Yelp
In Jackson Heights, where the world meets Queens, there are numerous ethnic options spanning from Tibetan to Colombian to Korean to Indian. Aroma Brazil is by all accounts, the only Brazilian establishment in the hood, and easily one of the finest in the borough for featuring simple, delicious food. While they've only been around for under 2 years, they've managed to strike a chord within the community and become one of my favorite go-tos in the area. Buffets of the Brazilian kind are certainly nothing new, not even the pay-by-the-pound ones that seem to only exist in Astoria, LIC, and western Queens. The latter has managed to get by in offering a tasty array of meats, whereas Aroma Brazil has presented options for the health conscious through their abundant variety and quality offerings. On the outside, the place is reminiscent of a small cafe. Inside, it feels even smaller with the semi-cramped seating, along with the people traffic of folks going in and out. Stick around and seating will eventually present itself. First timers ought to know that the buffet is all the way in the back, which admittedly feels a bit awkward from a layout perspective. My favorite seat is near the big window, where one can enjoy the food while people watching along the busy Roosevelt Avenue. Everything seems to be made with love. Their feijoada is delicious and tastes even better when combined with any of their multiple varieties of rice/quinoa. Starch lovers will find solace in their variety of potatoes, pasta, or cold salads, and veggie heads will appreciate the varieties of kale, tofu, corn salads, and raw fruits/vegetables. Where they really excel is their stewed meats, particularly the beef brisket, chicken, and or tilapia, all of which I can't seem to get enough of. Typically there is a drop off in quality at most buffets, but being this one is smaller, the portions are manageable and little goes to waste. At only $5.49 a pound, their breakfast (7:30-10:30am) is a solid deal. For all other times, it's $9.95, with an additional $1.00 per pound for anything with salmon on it. The salmon is tasty, but then again, so is everything else. Grab a plate and enjoy a meal like you're sitting in someone's home when eating in, or grab a container for to-go and pack it up for a reasonably priced and even tastier lunch. I hope Aroma Brazil sticks around for a long time. In a hood where diversity is preached along with variety, Jackson Heights only feels more well rounded with places like Aroma Brazil in it.

Yelp
I am disappointed to post this review, but I believe it is worthy of documenting my experience here. I visited with my family, and observed a small neighborhood self serve eats offering food by the pound. My family took turns going to the stations, and was rudely advised to refrain from video recording the premises. The cashier was worried about restaurant copy -cats from video which I politely explained trying to get a good angle via panorama to post on yelp. 3 servers approached me at once and I found the overall encounter upsetting and disturbing. 2 others strictly spoke in a different language to me. Cringe worthy. Discriminating. Disturbing. There are certain approaches to express concerns and these guys were rude and displayed gang mentality by way of bullying. The food stations were typical buffet islands of random ethnic foods and nothing spectacular or worthy of replicating. You toss out plastic plates upon finishing and you discard the trash in an outdoor garbage can on your way out the door. I will not be sharing the photos I took and 2 of my family members refused to even plate food deciding instead to not eat. To address the food, well it's a given when you leave without finishing what you paid for and prefer to throw it in the garbage instead of packing it away. Dry flaky salmon, rubbery chunks of steak, brown rice, beans, spaghetti & meatballs were among the food my family selected. None were fresh. If you somehow mess up rice/beans/spaghetti you should not be in the business of food preparation. Salmon was bland and they did not like it. Most ended up being shown to the trash. The petty rectangular stale chocolates the cashier came by and dropped off to my kids interrupted our meal- my oldest tried it and politely spit it out in her napkin. Rest were placed on the plastic plates and thrown into the garbage. As customers we kept our area clean, did not disrupt nor cause a scene, cleaned up after ourselves, paid for the food, and remained calm until our family finished their meals. We left our table clean. Unlike some of the other tables I observed where customers just left. This is not the best Brazilian restaurant in Queens or anywhere. With terrible basic customer service skills and the dummy account to counter my honest review, I begin to question the validity of the rest of their reviews. This place is not good, the people are not good and the visit was not good. Aside from quality of food at an establishment, the ambiance, attitude and service is important. I generously received a ONE star experience here for all of the above and will not be returning. Not one thing was good. After posting this review, I received a message from the restaurant. Image attached. Shameless!! Further, the owner Sidney continue to harass, send threats and has now resorted to lying. Video surveillance will be welcomed, as that will build my case and demonstrate us being compliant customers and prove how horrendous you and your staff are. This behavior is unacceptable and quite elementary. I refrained to escalate based on consideration to their establishment but due to Sidney's continued harassment, proper notices to appropriate authorities have been notified. I will no longer engage in communication with this fast food joint. Not worth my while. Beware upon entering this establishment. You have been fairly warned. Note: The review posted by Sidney C. (The owner) has since been removed. Thank you to the Yelp team for remaining fair in careful assessment. I am very glad to be part of a supporting team.

Yelp
Hands down the best Brazilian buffet. I love Brazilian food from my trips to Greenfields in Corona in the 90's. The food is incredibly flavorful, veggie and meat forward. Aroma has it all! Lots of fish, veggies were al dente and the roasted Brussels were amazing. The roast pork with skin on was unreal! Cheap, delicious and right next to 75/ Roosevelt my new Queens Franny Fave!

Amanda T.

Yelp
We were greeted pleasantly and requested to sanitize before reaching the buffet bar. The worker was kind in explaining how the weighing system worked and the chef at the grill also informed us right away of the meat selection. The meats from the grill were more expensive per pound, as well as the fish, but food from the buffet is usually $8.99/lb. We got two types of steaks and a beef short rib which were nicely seared. Also notable was the rice and swiss chard, the house spicy sauce, the fried yuca, fried fish, polenta, and really fantastic and creamy potatoes. We went overboard for three people and ended up eating it for two meals. Everything was pretty worth it except maybe the flan (a bit overpriced for the portion size) and our big meal came out to $80.

Scott S.

Yelp
Absolutely disgusting. Lowest quality meat possible. And possibly rotten. I got a whole plate of sirloin. Tasted nothing like sirloin. Tasted like rancid potted meat. Couldnt even take a second bite. Left the whole thing on the table and left. Waste of 20 bucks. Never ever again

Faiza K.

Yelp
Hands down the best Brazilian fast food I've ever had. The price, the quality, and the variety is unmatched. Father and son who bbq the meat are so nice! They always remember us. So does the owners now since we go so much. Herbert the absolute sweetest! Always very helpful and smiling. They have something for everyone. No matter what you eat you'll find something on the buffet. Meat, veggies, fish, pasta, soups, cheese, salad, they have them all. You can eat there or take it to go. The bbq meats are done very well. My favorite are the beef ribs, top sirloin, hanger, and chicken. They ask you how you like your meat and give it to you accordingly. The food is weighed by the lb and you pay for what you buy. Nothing extra. They go above and beyond for their customer. This is a staple in our family and as long as it stays this way a staple it shall remain.

Alfred N.

Yelp
The location is perfect because it fit's into my route like a glove The menu is not fixed and you get to pick up, weigh in, and go or just sit in and eat away. You have to ask the guy in the back for some fresh meats like the different type of steaks and beef they offer. The great thing about that is that everything is fresh off the roast and rack. I had a little bit of everything just to try it out for the first time and let me tell you, I was not disappointed!!! My plantains were juicy and the linguini was tasty finishing with a slurp. If you are in the neighborhood,i recommend you try this back to basics Brazilian cuisine out. I had just came from another Brazilian theme in midtown and it was over the top and over priced for no reason.

Balraj S.

Yelp
Been coming here for few years. Ever time i come the food quality and freshness is amazing !!!! The really put an effort to have options on the buffet. You will not find any other place with reasonable price and high quality fresh food

Tyler L.

Yelp
I saw this place listed on a website for best cheap eats and I can see why. This is an inexpensive Brazilian buffet that charges by the pound. I have been to several of these types of places in Astoria. Like those ones, in addition to the regular buffet offerings, they have a churrascaria option where you can choose cuts of grilled meat that raises the price. However, I found the regular buffet to be excellent as it is. Some of the items being offered were: maduros, fried chicken, beef brisket, rice and beans, seafood rice, fried fish, stewed fish, farofa, oxtail, spaghetti, salads, and much more. I though the brisket and fried chicken meat were especially moist and juicy.

mike f.

Yelp
What a nice surprise from the outside looks like a diner but inside a great feast awaits you You are charged by the lb when you chose from the buffet but order your meats from the rear window now that's special all prepared right from the kitchen hot ready to be sliced that's special Oh try the deserts all made right here delicious please try them even if you are full the owner was there so friendly explained the dishes nice to be there 10 pm.

Fernanda M.

Yelp
Def this is the best restaurant I've been here in NY. The food is authentic and very flavorful exactly the way must be. Also wanna mention the employees are very friendly and showed Us around.

Q N.

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant in New York - can't rave enough about it. Came here one cold afternoon to meet two new friends and fell in love with the following: - the community oriented atmosphere, most everyone was a regular -the food is what I would expect in a four star restaurant; colorful, fresh, different and they have a barbecue station to request hanger steak and other types of bbq -the canned passion fruit juice (maracuja) and passion fruit mous excellent - the wonderful beanie cashier was the sweetest - thanks for taking the time to help those blind customers -around 10-14 depending on how much you put on your plate (price is per pound of food) It's crowded so be aware!

Josh B.

Yelp
This relatively new pay-by-pound spot is similar to those in Astoria offering grilled meats and an area with steam table fare and salads. The short rib was the best of the meats. The chicken with bacon was very flavorful and juicy too. One inexplicable disappointment was the top sirloin, which just seemed like low-quality meat with a gritty flavor. On the other hand, the salads were better than expected - a green one (kale?) and a bean salad. I enjoyed the bottled cashew drink.

Ma Moe P.

Yelp
This place is so incredibly cozy. Great customer service. They gave me a complementary little box of cake! They follow COVID guidelines without making you like an awful human being for stepping foot inside. I really enjoy the protein options and the sides-- what the food lacks in breadth, it makes up for in depth. If it's your first time, I suggest you try a bit of everything. Especially the brisket.

Henry M.

Yelp
I only have 1.5 weeks left in Elmhurst, but I already know I'll be back to Aroma Brazil a couple more times before I leave. This place exceeded expectation. It is a Brazilian restaurant with a buffet line of delicious precooked meats, rices, beans, and fresh veggie salads. At the very back is the magical window where you can order meat cooked on skewer and sliced onto your plate just like at one of the popular all-you-can-eat rodizio places (Fogo de Chao and Texas de Brazil). Instead of all-you-can-eat at one of those places for $50+, you pay by the pound for what you choose to put on your plate. It's a great way to satisfy the rodizio craving without having to go all-out on a pricey buffet. And you leave satisfied, but not feeling sick and hating yourself for eating so much. My plate included a few salads, an onion mix, some beans, rice, some roast pork, and half a pound of the best Brazilian meat option (the picanha - or top sirloin). The total cost was $13. I'm not sure what the pricing is, but it's definitely fair, although I assume there's one price for the buffet line only and another for the grilled meats, so mixing the plate together meant I paid the higher price for the entire meal. I probably could have separated the grilled meat from the buffet line stuff to save $1-2. The picanha was perfection. The guy at the grill cut into it and it was a perfect medium rare. The fat cap was intact. The meat was seasoned perfectly. Often, places like Fogo de Chao overseason their proteins so everything ends up tasting salty. Here, the meat was flavorful, but not overly salty and I never got sick of it. It also had a really nice smokiness from the grill. For sides, I went with a fresh kale salad, a little salad of sliced white and purple onions, a bean salad, some pickled jalapeños, and a cabbage slaw that was refreshing and not overly creamy. I got some of the roast pork, which was really tender and had great flavor to it. I also got some lentil rice and poured over top this amazing tripe and sausage stew. And I added a roasted plantain for a bit of sweetness. After the picanha, the tripe was my favorite part of the meal. I really like this concept. I left completely satisfied with my meal and without the stomachache that usually accompanies going to an AYCE Brazilian steakhouse. I can't wait to go back. If I was a local here, I'd come once a week.

Jen S.

Yelp
I'm so glad that my friend found this place. It is now one of my go to restaurants in Queens. This is a buffet style restaurant with abundant varieties of salads, meats, veggies, soups, etc. When you first walk it, it was a bit confusing. We weren't sure what to do. The tables are in the front and the buffet bar is in the back. We asked one of the employees and he was very kind to walk us through. He showed us the salad bar and told us if we wanted any BBQ, we just need to go to the window and make a request. There weren't signs of what many of the dishes were, so we picked whatever looked appetizing. Just try everything. The two dishes came out to around $12! Yummy and cheap!

Ronit M.

Yelp
Tried out this place last night w/ my boo bear. There's a small exterior vestibule that leads you along a railed ramp into the main part of the space. At the rear is a buffet and grilled meats area. If you take from one of the areas I believe this was the deal: $6.99/lb of food or if you mixed the two then it was $7.99/lb and if you got the shrimp it would bump you up to $8.99/lb. The aroma of Aroma Brazil Restaurant wasn't very pleasing to my nostrils upon entering. I still didn't want to be the discourager and being that this venue had rave reviews, I wanted to be open and give it a try. I topped my plate with some steamed veggies, 1 grilled pineapple slice, 3 grilled drumsticks, 3 sweet fried plantains, & a scoop of quinoa. The owner, I believe, came up to us and explained everything so that we could determine what we'd like to add to our plates. Then he later came by as we were eating and asked how everything was. "Pretty good!" my boo exclaimed. We also tried the homesqueezed juices. My boo had the passionfruit and I tried the cashew. They both had strong lemony/citrusy flavors to them. After dindin we tried out the chocolate truffle cake. It had candied cherries inside and one that topped it. And I got a small coffee which completed my night. I couldn't finish it all, but I get to save it for my next zombie morning! Everything was good and fresh, even the bouquets on the table. I would come back again. Happy eats!

Judy C.

Yelp
Go-to neighborhood restaurant. Delicious meal offered at an affordable price. The quality of the food is not like what you'd get from a real, more expensive Brazilian restaurant. It's more like deli quality. Especially the meats, not great. But you get what you pay for. And for the price, it's pretty alright.

Glen A.

Yelp
It wasn't that good as it was. Their selection of meat (choices) in the grill aren't that much neither. Actually when we were there, 2 choices only. Hanger and sirloin. They don't have chimichuri sauce anymore.

Elliot K.

Yelp
I've been to this place a few times and I love it more each time. They have so many selections, the food is always fresh and presented beautifully. The owner and the staff are always so friendly. If you ever get a chance you should definitely try this place

Polly H.

Yelp
I enjoyed my meal. My favorite was the soup with cassava and beef. That was sensational! It kept me warm in the bitter cold. I like the spaghetti mixed with whole garlic cloves. I like the salmon which was fresh and cooked just right. Although I enjoyed my meal, my only complaint was that the weight of my food included the tray. I wonder if there is a way to tare the mass on their end. My hope is to come back and tried their bbq meat options.

Kit C.

Yelp
Great Brazilian "Kilograma" (buffet that you weigh by the pound) spot. Great variety in the buffet (I feel the buffet gets larger every day) and the standard BBQ options. The buffet dishes have a home cooked feel to them. It is like the Brazilian grandmother I never had is in the back bringing out small batches every 30min. Very friendly staff and very affordable prices. This is my go to spot to grab a quick quality bite in the hood. Bom Proveito!

Ben L.

Yelp
Ooooh, a food by the pound in Jackson Heights. So this place is more like a 3.5 but room for a lot of potential especially since they are new. Everything felt greasy but the seasoning was great, I did have an issue with some of the white rice being crunchy. It was also kinda surprising that most of the meats came off a tad sweet. The food: Short ribs- Was so tender and good, it was a tad sweet but and on the greasy side but still so good. Spicy sausage- I really liked the chorizo, it had a great snap and flavor Oxtail- Automatically really good Salmon- The salmon was overcooked but had nice flavor, it had a nice sweet and sour flavor . Skirt steak- It was over done and chewy. Tomato and Cucumber salad- This was great, it was super refreshing, it kinda felt like a Greek salad without the feta.

Ana Paula G.

Yelp
I tried this place today and it was a very pleasant surprise. Food was pretty good! And to top it off I had coconut and dulce de leche cake, the slice was huge, I had half of it and I'm super happy knowing I'll have the other half later!!!

Viren G.

Yelp
Review on a Friday night visit Pros - great tasting food, always sketchy about buffets but this Brazilian joint is scrumptious - plenty of options in this buffet whether you are a vegeterian or carnivore - clean interior, for the germophobes at a buffet they have hand sanitizer after touching byffet utensils - friendly employees, they will answer your questions and greet you promptly. They made sure I was aware of the buffet options on my first time visit - plenty of seating, no issues in bringing a bigger group in here - relatively inexpensive for the amount of food you get Cons - couldn't really think of any except they don't serve alcohol

Tk P.

Yelp
After long meetings with different cultures, being the only Brazilian in the group they asked me about my food. Of course, being in queens and having this perfect spot to introduce the Brazilian cuisine to my group. The owner is a real business person, because variety of people and food issues, I called and ask how is the buffet for vegetarians and pescatarians. He said, bring your people and I will reserve seat for all 4 of you and no worries, my buffet will be perfect for all your group. The food was amazing, also had a cheese bread that I said is kind of appetizer and everybody loved!!! The best way to get a group without breaking the bank, showing the Brazilian food, drinks at this place.

Jonathan L.

Yelp
My wife did some research and brought me here for Father's Day. The selection was great consisting of lots of different grilled amd stewed meats, and a very fresh salad bar. It's pay by the pound and a little different than the all you can eat places that end up making you feel like a overstuffed sea lion basking in the sun with no intention to move for the nezr 3 to 4 hours. The food is fresh, keeps getting refilled, and they do a conscious job of keeping the food area and entire restaurant clean. Service is very good and the people are very nice there. This might be our new go to Brazilian place. If it wasnt for the tough parking, this place would be at the top of our monthly list.

Greg P.

Yelp
Delicious, freash, with a wide variety. Cashier was also very nice and helpful with information on some of the foods that I was unfamiliar with. They are also open late: I will definitely be back.

Yelp
On further reflection, my previous review was probably a little harsh. Yes - they still don't cut the meat to perfection and there are certain staples I would expect a Brazilian restaurant to provide but this remains a place I often frequent - their Coxinha (shredded chicken in dough) and deserts are delicious. And like the previous review said, their staff are very helpful and friendly.

Yelp
I'm a regular here and sad to say some of the food has been tasting microwaved. I like this place because it's convenient but after this stomachache I don't think I would be coming back. :,(

Yelp
Love it food it fresh always and my experience if parking wasn't such a challenge I'd be here a lot more. The coffee was not good not fresh coffee hence the 4 stars.

Yelp
This is my first time to visit this restaurant. The ambience was fantastic. I definitely wanna come back to this awesome place. Cheers,

Yelp
We came here past 10pm on a Friday so I wasn't expecting much. I was surprised to find that there was still a good assortment of dishes available to choose from, even though the BBQ window didn't have very many options. Like many places in Brazil, the food is served in a "por kilo" style - you pick out the foods you want and you pay by the pound. The feijao and farofa were on point. I also really liked the cashew juice. (Which by the way, isn't made with cashew nuts, as we know them. Cashew nuts actually grow off of a fruit that we call the "cashew apple". Google it if you're curious, they're really beautiful specimens.) We also had a slice of the yuca cake, which was very moist and delicious. I felt that this place was affordable, definitely a bit cheaper than Villa Brazil Cafe in Astoria/LIC. Service was also very friendly. I'm looking forward to revisiting during proper meal hours to see how the BBQ is!

Yelp
This is the best by-the-pound Brazilian restaurant I have encountered in NYC so far. The low price and quality of the food is impressive. If you have been to a large Brazilian churrascaria you will recognize that this is basically the same thing except on a much smaller scale. There is a salad bar, and in the back a small window where you will see several cuts of meat on skewers, roasting over fire. You select what you want and the cook will cut it and put it on your plate. The food is similar to the South American restaurants in the neighborhood: rice, beans, meat, etc... but with a Brazilian twist. If you have been to Brazil you will recognize all the snacks, drinks and desserts. They have it all. All the food is delicious. The price is great. For around $10 you can get a large plate of food - just as good as what you would get at Plataforma in midtown for $60. Here are a few tips: - The meat is weighed at a higher price than the salads/starch/veg at the salad bar. Separate your meal into two plates, one meat and one salad bar. This will save you a lot of money. - The picanha is my favorite meat. Prepared better than at other places in Queens. The cochinha (fried chicken ball) is amazing too and very popular in Brazil. - They cater and have done two parties for me. Excellent both times. To top it all off, the people working there are really nice. I suggest this place to everyone.

Yelp
3 stars for the freshness and deliciousness. The variety of meats and rice, as well as the vibe of the restaurant. Minus 1 star because it isnt an ALL you can eat buffet as I initially expected. Basically, you pick your choices and it is weighed ( So choose carefully) Minus 1 star for no sampling of the food. I wish i knew what the food tastes like before i even try it. I personally am not a big fan of the "pay what your plate weighs" system. I tend to enjoy a fixed price. Love the new taste in JH, just not the buffet system

Yelp
Amazingly well made Brasilian buffet and I know this because I am 1/2 and have frequnted every Astoria outlet to fill my need. The meat is cooked very well, not dried out, options are diverse and price is pretty decent. (The salad bar and rotisserie are in the back). I am super excited that I passed here on my way to a doctor's appointment and even more thrilled that I took the time to stop in. I will get passionfruit mousse next time.

Yelp
My review will add nothing that hasn't already been said. It's inexpensive and the food is not too bad for the price. I will continue eating here. Everything is fresh and service is always prompt and attentive. A MUST TRY!

Yelp
The excellent food, friendly service and a warm environment keep me returning again and again. The oxtail, meatloaf (I seldom rave over meatloaf!), and pork loin are out of this world. You also can't go wrong with the meat counter -- just be sure to tell them how you like your meat cooked. There are a great variety of sides to choose from. I love that they have healthy options (kale, quinoa, grillex squash) alongside "richer" fars (Mac and cheese, fried yucca, maduros, etc.) They desserts are decadent and amazing. Try the Tiramisu! The owner and staff are beyond friendly and are happy to answer any of your questions. I am a regular and think of this place as a unique gem in the neighborhood dining scene.
