Arthur's is a pub/cafe rich in historic character but with elevated food and local beer choices. In short summary, the food and beer are very good, the establishment itself has three areas for seating, including outside, and it is full of village charm. Parking is generally plentiful in the area, but they don't have a dedicated lot.
I have gone to Arthur's since I moved to Cincinnati in the early 90's. It has always been a great place to have a burger or sandwich or other nice menu choice. Although Hyde Park, the neighborhood in which it is nestled, is having a bit of a housing Renaissance, Arthur's holds to it's old school charm. One point of uniqueness is a full wall mural with many years of Cincinnati personalities painted akin to a caricature you would get at an amusement park. It has always been there and it's like getting a hug from an old friend every time I walk through the front door.
On this day we dropped by for lunch. I had the Salmon BLT. My wife has the Spicy Black Bean burger. Both were fantastic. For not being on a coast, the Salmon was cooked perfectly and the bacon was as ordered, extra crispy.
From a facilities standpoint, it is full of stained hardwood, stained glass, and bespecled ceramic floors. The bathrooms are functional but fall in line with old school bar "character".
If you are in the mood for great food with a touch of old bar feel, you should give this place a try.
