"I noted that Arthur’s — an all-day cafe serving burgers, sandwiches, quinoa bowls and now various meal kits for takeout — voluntarily closed its dining room a couple of weeks after reopening for limited dine-in on June 13, out of concern over rising COVID-19 cases; it will keep limited outdoor seating and takeout. I reported that owner Rebecca Rice said the team had heavily deep-cleaned the restaurant, installed plexiglass partitions between booths, measured and organized seating to maximize safety, set up a circular traffic-flow plan, installed hand sanitizer stations, and put plant barriers between tables without plexiglass, but still felt uncomfortable keeping indoor dining open given nearby cases. Rice said they are committed to keeping the dining room closed until things improve — possibly until a vaccination — and hopes other restaurants follow suit." - Gabe Guarente
